Hi everyone, just found out I'm pregnant today at 9dpo, I wanted to make a thread for people to join who will be due in September 2025!

Congrats new joiners!

@fairydustt I've always felt absolutely normal on months I got a positive test too. It's funny, isn't it?

I've had a lot of funny abdominal twinges today so officially in the "does that twinge mean it's ectopic??" phase of proceedings. 😂🥲

Hi everyone! I'm due 1st of September, currently 5+5 but known since I was 3+4 so its already feeling like I've been pregnant for ages🙈 the nausea has well and truly hit, I feel awful most of the day. Really struggled the first time and was on Cyclizine until 19 weeks so hoping this one doesn't go the same way. Just really struggling with looking after a toddler and feeling sick all day at the moment

If my workings out are correct then this is the same due date as me! I found out on 19th December so it feels like a lifetime already. Only mild sickness currently but getting tired on an evening and also unbelievably bloated! Attractive!

Last time I got lulled into a false sense of security as I didn't feel sick until about 6 weeks but then it hit hard. Guessing it might be the same this time. How old is your toddler?

MyGardenDaisies · 03/01/2025 18:46

I’m so happy I’m due on September as then my toddler will have 3 days of free childcare 😄

I got nauseous at 6 weeks with my little one so expecting that to kick in around then too this time round.

Has everyone already got their midwife booking appointment ? X I wonder if I will have less as it’s a 2nd baby

Yes, there's definitely less appointments second pregnancy. Will be sure to be scheduling them for some early finishes at work!

I submitted my referral on Tuesday but I haven't been sent anything yet, not even an email confirmation so I'm unsure it's actually gone anywhere. It's less appointments usually unless there's anything extra.

It'll be weird having one the oldest in the year as my daughter is the youngest in hers! It doesn't seem real to me yet thinking beyond the first trimester.

I wasn't sick with my daughter until 8.5 weeks, though I did feel sick a bit before that. It varies doesn't it.
@Mals2022 feel for you that's so tough!
@Melusina123 I feel you, I have this internal chat every day 😩

Melusina123 · 03/01/2025 19:24

@Lemonolive09 ❤️ it soothes my heart that we are so on the same page. (Even I wish we could find a less stressy page to be on!)

@MyGardenDaisies I haven't done the self-referral yet, will probably leave it a week or so more, just to get past 6wks first. But yes you have fewer routine appointments towards the end I think.

PlanBea · 03/01/2025 19:32

Oh, I hadn't realised we get fewer appointments for a second one! I was looking forward to lots of time off work for them 😂

Is anyone going to go to not their local hospital? We're 20 minutes away from two different hospitals (out local is the one in town so closer but way more traffic!), but switched to the one we're "out of catchment" for late in my last pregnancy so my husband could be with me (COVID baby!). I'm planning on asking to be at the out of catchment one from the begining this time!

Rachae · 03/01/2025 19:55

Hey everyone and welcome to the new joiners! X

Well still not sure what to think. Is anyone willing to share their test at CD30 please? Rather than DPO.. as I don't know what DPO I am. If it's possible to work out?

This is my FRER today from FMU

@Rachae I cant help with the tests as I don't know what cycle day I would have been (I did IVF), but I was really worrying about my line progression and darkness, so got two private hcg tests 72 hours apart to double check everything. Made me realise the urine tests really don't tell us very much as they were much better than I expected!
Would definitely recommend if you can. I found a clinic in London that does them for £49.

Yes I will be, same as last pregnancy but we're 40 minutes away (at least).

My local hospital only has a MLU and I won't want to risk it, as I didn't last time either.

Sorry to photo bomb ladies.. I've gone back to it and it looks like a go-er

I live in wales, very close to the English border but will be requesting for maternity and delivery care at the nearby English hospital. My almost 10 year old was born there, albeit we lived closer then. However, only 4 weeks 4 days, praying baby sticks firstly!

I had a COVID baby too! I'm not sure where I'll go this time as we've moved address, so I'll be in a similar boat with options. I'm sure you can choose straight away

camelinastorm · 03/01/2025 20:35

@Ru19 IVF over her too so also no idea what dpo or CD I am on 😂 it's so tricky, when did you have your transfer

Rachae · 03/01/2025 20:37

So cool to hear some of you are also second time mums! Xx

I am 31, my daughter is almost 10! Huge age gap but had so many fertility issues. My partner and I are feeling quite nervous- like first time parents again!! I don't remember how to hold a newborn! 😂

Ru19 · 03/01/2025 20:40

@camelinastorm ah yes I’ve been following the December thread too :) my transfer was the 18th. How about you?
