Hi everyone, just found out I'm pregnant today at 9dpo, I wanted to make a thread for people to join who will be due in September 2025!

Now I’m 8+2 the sickness is slightly better but I’m also taking prochlorperazine which has been a life saver. Hoping it continues!

Getting a private early scan tomorrow - 7wks 1day. Was originally supposed to be the week after but due to work training have ended up needing to bring it forward. Feel a bit mixed about it as I think if I had a scan at 8wks I'd have felt even more certain it would be smooth sailing where as I'm aware things can still go wrong between weeks 7 and 8.
A big pro now though is getting to see if there's a heartbeat a bit sooner. Then it'll be waiting for the NHS scan which might not even be until week 14 which is a whopping 7 wks away. Hoping I can go somewhere in the middle of week 12 as I ovulated late.

Have been booked in for my first midwife appointment when l'll be 9wks 5ds.

Where's everyone else at with scans and booking appointment?

When did the sickness start for you?

I'm 7wks today, and with DD I was incredibly nauseous in 1st trimester, but I seem to be okay. I've noticed the odd little wave of it or not wanting certain foods, but that's it really. It does make me a bit anxious when I don't "feel" pregnant - apart from my boobs are enormous and I can't believe I forgot the nipples become huge 😂

I’m 6wks+4 and feeling exactly the same as you. I have had a few waves of nausea, especially if I go for a long time between eating, but generally I’ve felt okay and weirdly not pregnant. I have bloating which is worse in the evenings and noticeably bigger boobs but that is about it.

With my first the NHS scan was at 11+4, so I presume it will be in that week this time too. Why is your scan so late @Wisher88 ?

My booking appointment is 3 weeks away, 19th Feb. I didn't tell them until yesterday because I've been so nervous it'll jinx it or something 😂

Been told I'll have a scan around that time, 9 weeks, as I'm high risk.

@Wisher88 it started around week 6 and was awful that week & week 7, couldn’t even get out of bed. It’s been more manageable the last couple of days

You’ve given me hope that maybe my sickness might ease off by week 8! I’d heard it’s more likely to get worse and worse up until 8-9 weeks.

Or do you think it’s the medication that made the big difference?

I’m not sure to be honest as I’ve not taken a tablet today and it’s still manageable! but I think the placenta starts developing around 8/9 weeks and that can help the sickness so have hope!

I am 9+4 today and feeling absolutely awful!! Have moments during the day where I feel relatively ok but the evenings are so bad. Doesn't help that my 3YO isn't sleeping at all. I seem to remember reading that weeks 9/10 are the worst which j in really hope is true as I don't think I can handle it getting worse. Hoping it doesn't last beyond 1st trimester as feeling like a rubbish mum at the moment

Yeah now you've said that I think I remember reading last time that weeks 9/10 were the worst. I remember we were away for a week to York, walking all over the place and I felt so nauseous!

Do you know something I don't 😂 I've not had my booking appointment yet so don't know when my NHS scan is yet..

Morning everyone ☀️ 8+4 today, booking appointment tomorrow. My sickness hasn't been too bad so far, straight out of bed and vomiting once every morning but by this time with my first I'd already torn a hole in my throat from hyperemesis, so counting that as a win!
Strangely don't mind the nausea this time, it's like a little reminder baby is still there.

Vomiting every morning sounds horrific but compared to your previous experience sounds like a breeze. I guess at least it's out of the way before the day begins.

Have early scan 7+1 this eve. Had a dream last night that there was no heartbeat 😬 so I guess I'm prepared for the worst.

Morning all, I feel really terrible today and not sure what to do next.

After having 24/7 nausea for days, last night I started to feel better for the first time. Then I woke in the middle of the night feeling completely fine. Like the hangover type fog I’ve had for 4 weeks had completely lifted. Breast tenderness gone. I felt like I knew I wasn’t pregnant anymore. I was really hysterically upset for hours and barely got any sleep.

I think part of the upset is that I’m still grieving my dad and last night / the early hours of this morning is exactly a year since I last saw him and then he died unexpectedly in his sleep. So I kept crying: how can this happen TODAY?!

This morning I’ve woken up and actually feel sick again but I’m not sure if that’s just from all the upset.

Im 7 weeks tomorrow. Has anyone else experienced a sudden loss of symptoms? Would you get a scan asap?

That happened to be before my early scan and baby was fine. It still happens now where symptoms come and go. Try not to read too much into it but I know it's hard. We should just be able to enjoy the brief moments where we don't feel absolutely horrific . Sounds like you have been through a lot sending love

I’ve just had a call that my booking appointment is next Tuesday. I left it quite late to self-refer so I think they’ve put a rush on it…! Feels unimaginable to me that I’m going to make it to the booking appointment - still braced to be told I’ve had another MMC at my scan tomorrow.

I’ve started to get some nausea breaking through the lovely Xonvea that has been keeping it at bay. I could increase the dose but I’m finding a little bit of nausea a bit reassuring so I’ve decided not to for now. The uncertainty of the first tri is never fun but I have to say that having medication to suppress the nausea has made it more bearable.

I'm so happy today I got my 3+ on clearblue. I know it technically doesn't mean much but it's made my day! Xx

Very pleased to share strong heartbeat at early scan!
7wks since LMP but measuring 6wks 3ds. Not concerned as we didn't dtd until day 16 as I'm a late ovulator so sounds about right.
Of course it looks like just a blob at this stage. Looking forward to the next one where they'll look like a lovely alien 👽

6+4 today. Feeling good, I don't really have symptoms apart from swolen boobs. The odd bit of nausea in the mornings but that could be hunger.
I live in Ireland where scans are so expensive 110euro so havnt had one. Due to a past miscarriage my nurse has requested the EPU gives me an early scan but still havnt heard anything yet from them.

Hi everyone, I'd like to join please!

I'm currently 6 weeks and 4 days and have started feeling awful this week. The exhaustion is like nothing I've felt before and I'm sleeping almost all day even though I'm getting a full night sleep. Hoping this doesn't last much longer as I'm really struggling with work!
