I have had to have one day off so far.
i understand as the thought of work is horrendous but ive somehow powered through. Gunna get anti sickness from the doctor tomorrow and hope that helps x

Fashionlover123 · 21/01/2025 13:11

@MyGardenDaisies thank you! Told my parents last night, lots of happy tears it was amazing ❤️

Strawb28 · 21/01/2025 07:26

@DogMum99 AHH it's lovely getting to share it with others. Makes me less anxious having people to talk to about it and reading others stories, symptoms etc!! Also love your name! My first born is a little Bichon Yorkie mix 🥰❤️

Totally agree!! It's much less nerveracking going through it all at the same time as others! Ahh how adorable! I have two girls- a cocker spaniel & a cockapoo and they are my babies. I'm so anxious about how they are going to take to the baby! X

BGxxx · 21/01/2025 13:46

@DogMum99 ive got a jackapoo and her and my toddler are best friends! My dog didn’t care for her too much at the start but once she started crawling she was obsessed 🤣

Strawb28 · 21/01/2025 14:17

@DogMum99 we set up a wee stair gate on the door to the living room about 2 months before our first LG was born and got our little dog use to it and then when she came we didn't make a big fuss and he just wasn't bothered about her. Still just obsessed with me 🤣🤣

DogMum99 · 21/01/2025 14:24

@BGxxx oh bless! I can imagine! I know my cocker spaniel will love when baby starts weaning as she is so food orientated! 😆

@Strawb28 that's good to hear!! I'm only 4 weeks today but we are already discussing getting stair gates, etc, so will definitely get them early and get them used to it! I just get worried that they will feel replaced but I know it's just about making the effort to give them just as much love 🥹🥰

Tentatively joining with this. Feel a bit overwhelmed, I already have two children, 3 sounds like a lot 🙀

Congratulations!

How old are your other two?

Fluffydino21 · 21/01/2025 16:26

Does anyone else keep getting paranoid they've somehow got multiple false positives and imagined the symptoms? Or that they might not be pregnant anymore? Or is that just me?

I kind of want to keep doing regular pregnancy tests but DP feels it's silly and a waste of money.

I'd assumed the first thing that would happen was your GP would do a test to confirm you were definitely pregnant but that didn't happen for me.. they seem to just be completely relying on the at home test and my ability to read it correctly!

BGxxx · 21/01/2025 16:31

@Fluffydino21 i’ve done countless tests to make sure the lines are progressing, I dread to think how much it’s cost🤣 how far are you?

ZoeOutdoors · 21/01/2025 16:32

Thank you! Currently 5.5 and 2.5

MyGardenDaisies · 21/01/2025 17:31

Hello, hello!
6+4, will tell parents on Sunday after the scan I think, will be 7+2 🥰

Time is going quickly but I can’t wait for everyone to know!

Henski · 21/01/2025 18:48

Hi Ladies, tested positive last week with a due date of 27th Sep!
Apologies if this has been asked and answered, is there a WhatsApp group? Would love to join!

Strawb28 · 21/01/2025 19:32

@BGxxx same!! And I'll buy the weeks ones soon to see if I can get 2-3 and 3+ 🤣🤣🤣

Sept25bub · 21/01/2025 20:33

Oh you’ve just described me all the time!
I see so many people also saying they’ve lost their pregnancies and so that makes me so worried that’s about to happen too.

I took another test last night to check I’m still pregnant and the last tests weren’t false positives.

so things I’ve tried today. Listening to Jessie Ware podcast ‘is this normal’ which is broken down into weeks 4-6 etc not just whole trimesters. Every time I start worrying about things out of my control I have to do 5 squats… ha. I’m trying to think of something useful to do when I do this sort of worrying that if I keep up I think I’ll need to see the doctor for….
also tempted to have some CBT through work as I seem to be so anxious!

So, not just you!

Sept25bub · 21/01/2025 20:34

Can I ask what you’d be looking for on line progression? After 3 mins the one I took this week was the same as one from last Week in terms of redness, not as red as the control line but definitely there and solid….
x

Melusina123 · 21/01/2025 20:36

I'm feeling so unwell today! I've vomited twice, and I've never vomited in previous pregnancies. And constant nausea on the edge of vomiting - feeling very sorry for myself! I tried cyclizine and metoclopramide in my previous pregnancy and wasn't very taken by them - has anyone tried anything else? Xonvea? Ondansetron seems best avoided until a little further down the line.

Lss2024 · 21/01/2025 20:37

Hi, please can I join? Not sure how many weeks I am! According to my last period I’m 8 weeks but I’ve been testing for four weeks and been negative until last week when I had really faint positives that are now stronger and positive digital so think it may be early on. My little boy is only 10 months old and only just started back at work this week! 😆 x

Edited

How many weeks are you? I find line progression the easiest to see in the very early days, once you get dark some tests don’t seem to get loads darker! What tests are you using? X

@Strawb28 me too, I’m holding out until the weekend to do another to try and get 3+🤣

BGxxx · 21/01/2025 20:47

@Lss2024 least you haven’t got to work long before getting another lovely maternity leave!🤣

Strawb28 · 21/01/2025 21:04

@Lss2024 my little girl is 10 months as well!! There will an 18.5 month age gap if all goes well with this little bub!!

@BGxxx I'm going to hold out to Friday now to see if I can get 2-3 then after 5 weeks I'll try for 3+

@Sept25bub so I test every morning to judge darkness just at the start as I had a chemical with my first pregnancy so I'm extra nervous! It's definitely not as accurate when you get a bit further on!! X

BGxxx · 21/01/2025 21:12

@Strawb28 how far are you at the minute?? With my little girl I knew I was 9dpo but when I found out but this time I’m really not sure, I’m guessing 18dpo ish! I’m trying to compare my tests to last time🤣

Strawb28 · 21/01/2025 21:15

@BGxxx so I'm 15dpo today 4 weeks + 1 going by my tracking app! I found out at 9dpo with my first and then this time I had the absolute faintest line at 9dpo but was sure by 10dpo!! Hoping the lines will continue to get darker! I'll go for an early scan at maybe 6+5! X

BGxxx · 21/01/2025 21:25

@Strawb28 i didn’t have my early scan until 10+4 last time but I don’t think I can hold out that long this time 🤣 what tests are you using?xx
