Hi everyone, just found out I'm pregnant today at 9dpo, I wanted to make a thread for people to join who will be due in September 2025!

My sickness didn't start until 9 weeks with my last pregnancy @FMc208
I was in the gym most days thinking I'd got lucky, then projectile vomited one day out of nowhere. Never had any nausea, just sickness until 16 weeks

MyGardenDaisies · 20/01/2025 17:21

@Fashionlover123 aww that’s lovely, can’t wait for my scan to be done too!

are you telling family or waiting for the 12 week one when the picture looks more like a baby? 😄🥰

OneLilacBiscuit · 20/01/2025 17:59

Hello
Im due September 2025 if things all go well
but had a MMC in the summer at 7weeks 6days so I’m very anxious
this was the test I took the other day at 5 weeks, it came up straight away but it seems quite faint for 5 weeks
i have no symptoms whatsoever apart from insomnia and being very emotional
last time i had morning sickness from week 6-7 which stopped around time the heartbeat stopped
I’ve booked a scan for 8 weeks at the EGU but would be surprised if I last until then
anyone else not had symptoms at 5 weeks and with a line like this?

When did everyone’s sickness start? I had none with my DD so have no idea if I’m dodging it again or if I’ve got it to come! I’m 5 weeks tomorrow.

With my first dd i didn't have any till after or around the first scan so maybe 10 weeks then it fucking hit me like death tbh not only nausea and throwing up anything I ate other than yellows corn flakes, but also extreme dizziness almost vertigo and migraines untill 22 weeks literally spent most of the second trimester sat in a quiet dark room or throwing up.

This time I'm about 4.5 to 5 weeks, and I've already felt nauseas and been sick, but it's like 1 spell a day. So I'm hoping 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞 I'd rather it just continue like this. I don't mind throwing up itself. I can't stand migraines and dizziness though 😫

YKM2829 · 20/01/2025 18:11

Oooh and insomnia is a bitch right now

Sept25bub · 20/01/2025 19:20

Hmm I haven’t read any bad signs about the early scans. I suppose it can be reassuring or not depending on how it is.
Not sure there’s a right answer. But just that additional medical interaction earlier on seems useful to me.

Mae2B · 20/01/2025 19:49

When you girls say with previous pregnancies the nausea or other symptoms got so bad you were in bed or lying on the sofa etc - did you get a sick leave note from the GP or did you continue working like that? How long did you not work for?

DJE24 · 20/01/2025 20:30

Scan went really well :) Measuring 7 weeks exactly, but app is 7w5d, so not far behind, I did think I had ovulated later in December anyway so wasn’t a shock to me! Heart beating away and lots of photos and videos to come away with ❤️

Also, the travel sickness bands have been a godsend today!!!!

Hello everyone, I tested positive last Thursday at 10dpo and I'm exactly 4 weeks today going by my app and last period. This will be my second baby but just as anxious as the first because I had a chemical before having my LG. Anxiously waiting to I can have a scan. Went at 6 weeks with my LG due to some red spotting and thankfully seen her little heartbeat. I think in going to hold out to about 7 weeks this time all going well x

Congratulations! You're one day ahead of me - I'm 3+6 today x

Aandk64 · 21/01/2025 07:20

Morning Ladies, I joined this thread late December and had to leave, however fingers crossed I can stay this time 😊

@DogMum99 AHH it's lovely getting to share it with others. Makes me less anxious having people to talk to about it and reading others stories, symptoms etc!! Also love your name! My first born is a little Bichon Yorkie mix 🥰❤️

Melusina123 · 21/01/2025 09:05

Morning everyone, I am feeling baaaaaad today, curled up in bed with water crackers trying not to vomit. 🤢

I'm wondering this too.. I'm getting quite stressed about it as already struggling to do a lot and not even 6 weeks in.

Just starting work a bit later in the morning, finishing slightly later, dinner and then in bed for nearly 12 hours!

I've heard people say you're extremely exhausted in the first couple of months so not sure if that's what it is or I just need to get used to it and power through.

My DP keeps talking about all the things we need to sort out before the baby arrives and I'm getting nervous I just won't have the energy to do them!

Wisher88 · 21/01/2025 10:28

My nips are enormous 😂 I forgot this happened. I'm sure it didn't happen so early last time?

Wait until the second trimester to worry about getting ready for the baby. Most of the pregnancy symptoms stop so you won't feel as tired or nauseous.

Honestly, I wouldn’t worry about getting things ready for ages yet - the first trimester is all about survival! You should feel a lot better in the second, that’s the time to think about getting things ready. Just look after yourself in these early days.

Judgejudysno1fan · 21/01/2025 10:40

Thabks e eryone for suggesting another test.

I was definitely pregnant. Another test proved so but sadly woke up this morning to heavy blood and I've lost it.

Take care everyone and good luck to all for your September babies.

I'm grateful for the children I have And maybe blessed with another one in the future if God plans that for me.

Yes, I think I might, £75-85 seems worth it for reassurance! :)

Peak a baby do reassurance scans for £45

Nobody has replied to the sick leave question 😭

Melusina123 · 21/01/2025 12:13

@Mae2B I worked through previous tri 1s; just took generous time to lie down, avoided going into the office, etc. But lots of women find the nausea/vomiting is too severe and get a sick note for 2 or 4 weeks or until it's manageable again. It's very individual. 🤷‍♀️

maple1234 · 21/01/2025 12:26

Hi everyone,

I got my first positive this morning at 11DPO. I think I could be due end of September/start of October if all goes well. Anyone have any way of getting your head unscrambled?🤣

When would everyone recommend having a first private scan? I want it ASAP but don't want it to be too early for them to see anything. Is 6 weeks too early?

Strawb28 · 21/01/2025 12:30

@maple1234 I had one at 6 weeks with my LG and seen the flicker of her heartbeat it was amazing but this time I'm guns wait to 6+5 to be sure to see it! X
