@BrightGoose sorry to hear that. You must feel disappointed. X

SnakebitesandSambucas · 30/04/2025 18:59

Well my kidneys are still not functioning properly and they are considering bringing the C-section forward. But I don't think I can cope with thinking that if I just held off. Feel selfish x

BrightGoose · 30/04/2025 19:42

Aww it’s not your fault your poorly hun they will do what’s best for you and baby

BrightGoose · 30/04/2025 20:18

@LeBonBon yes they scanned me defo head under my ribs as it has been for weeks, midwife did think she turned last week but turns out she hasn’t unless she turned and turned back but I don’t think that happened. Not much time to turn now as I’m just over 36 weeks but if I go into labour they said they will scan me and check babies position. I have weekly midwife appointments now as I’m under oc monitoring so a midwife will check her position for me every week… I am so disappointed but I know what’s safe for baby is for a section if she is still breech so that’s what it will be.

BrightGoose · 30/04/2025 20:19

@LeBonBon I’m glad they arnt inducing you yet and there is no GDM baby just clearly loved the extra Easter chocolate 😂

WildWhirlwind · 30/04/2025 20:57

Just wanted to say congratulations to @Dojo13 and @LozC0411 and I'm sorry if I've missed anyone else (I don't check this much)! 🎉

@BrightGoose sorry that you're dealing with a breech situation now. My circumstances were different but I know it can be all consuming, especially when your birth choices are affected. Hoping that they turn on their own for you. 💐

Poster57 · 30/04/2025 21:51

Congratulations @LozC0411 lovely news!

TheBeesKnee · 01/05/2025 17:45

Baby Freddie was delivered via cesarean this morning and good thing too because his cord was wrapped around his neck twice! He weighs 7lbs which is shocking given how enormous my bump was.

SnakebitesandSambucas · 01/05/2025 17:50

@TheBeesKnee omg what a shock that must have been! Are you both well apart from that? Xx

Yes doing really well, thank you. He's breastfeeding and is content to nap on my chest ☺️

I am starving, thirsty and sweating like hell because it's so hot on the ward but other than that this planned section is so much nicer than my emergency with my last!

The midwives have been great and the kitchen lady gave me an extra dinner she had lying around 🤣

DP is going to bring our toddler to meet him soon 😭

LeBonBon · 01/05/2025 18:55

Ah congratulations @TheBeesKnee! 🎉💙

That's the bit I keep thinking about - when my DH brings our toddler to meet baby 🥹 Hope it goes well for you x

BrightGoose · 01/05/2025 19:50

@TheBeesKnee congratulation ! Xx hope you have a wonderful first family. Cuddle !

Beccaa123 · 01/05/2025 20:07

Awww congratulations, it's nice to see the babies starting to arrive!

Has anyone gone into labour naturally? Any signs that you were going to?

I have my induction on Wednesday, I'll be 38 weeks, if I make it to then, my OB said her head is pretty low down.

WildWhirlwind · 01/05/2025 21:34

@Poster57 I think I may have missed you before and now @TheBeesKnee - congratulations! 🎉

Rainbowsunshine81 · 01/05/2025 21:45

@TheBeesKnee congratulations to you! Hope you're both doing well ❤️

SnakebitesandSambucas · 01/05/2025 21:48

Aww that lovely moment when they meet each other! Luckily it went well for me and I have a wonderful photo!! My older sister was never impressed with me 😂. Oh no you don't have a fan bugger. Maybe someone can bring one in for you.

SnakebitesandSambucas · 01/05/2025 21:50

I'm hopefully getting discharged tomorrow as my ketones and protein have gone now. My kidneys seem to be working properly now. I'm knackered but happy that baby is doing well. Final growth scan tomorrow morning. I'm pushing for a morning slot for mental health stuff for my C-section. Met the surgeons and aneathist today! Roll on the 16th!

LozC0411 · 01/05/2025 22:08

Was discharged today after 4 days in hospital but only 24 hours after my section🥰In quite a bit of pain today so keeping on top of paracetamol

@LozC0411 enjoy going home to your bed. And don't forget to keep taking movicol or laxido sachets. Lots of water. Xx

Rainbowsunshine81 · 02/05/2025 12:10

I hope I can come home the next day after my c section next Wednesday. Finally packed my bags the other day, most likely forgotten something.

SnakebitesandSambucas · 02/05/2025 12:27
