Maybe just ring them how far along are you ?

Poster57 · 24/04/2025 16:56

@SnakebitesandSambucas i think I’d definitely give them a call if you’re worried.

I'm currently in for induction. Balloon method so this is new - eek! Doesn’t feel bad so far :)

BrightGoose · 24/04/2025 17:02

Aww @Poster57 good luck ! Hope all goes well

SnakebitesandSambucas · 24/04/2025 17:46

BrightGoose · 24/04/2025 17:52

Rainbowsunshine81 · 24/04/2025 19:01

@SnakebitesandSambucas hopefully everything that's been done will help and stop labour for you ❤️

Poster57 · 24/04/2025 19:12

@SnakebitesandSambucas so glad that you went and got checked out. Sounds like you’re being taken care of well. Thinking of you.

Jess2826 · 24/04/2025 22:05

I have been having the weirdest most uncomfortable sensation the last 3 days, each time it's when I've been driving home from work which is about a 40 minute journey for me. I feel like I'm being internally clawed at. Baby has been doing his usual movements at the same time so it's not like kicks but feels so horrible. I've also had lightening crotch but this feels slightly higher up, has anyone else had this before? I'm 36 weeks today, so don't know if he's just getting himself into a good position maybe?

Rainbowsunshine81 · 24/04/2025 22:54

I'm 36 + 3 today and my midwife came out to see me yesterday and said the baby is head down and is 4/5 in my pelvis, so that explains the heaviness/pressure I've been feeling lately.
I've felt like tickling sensation by my ribs aswell.

AutumnalPuffin · 25/04/2025 04:29

@Poster57 Very much hope the induction is working and you’re well on your way to having the baby!

@SnakebitesandSambucas Very much hope that the opposite of the induction is working and you’re not having your baby yet! Though, it’s been a week since my daughter arrived at 36+1 and we are now at home, settled in with a healthy baby so sometimes early can be fine!

BrightGoose · 25/04/2025 06:32

@Rainbowsunshine81 thats exactly what the midwife said to me yesterday, 4/5 engaged and head down so I’m feeling better about hopefully getting my vbac.

@Poster57 and @SnakebitesandSambucas hope
ypu are both ok!

so nice to hear from you @AutumnalPuffin what did you call your little girl ? I’m glad your all home now

Rainbowsunshine81 · 25/04/2025 06:55

@BrightGoose That's good that you are feeling better about hopefully having your vbac. Xx

Ebonythoughts · 25/04/2025 08:20

Hi all,

I’ve only just come across this thread so joining really late if that’s ok 🙈

My due date is May 8th but I have a planned c section scheduled for May 2 and my children will be 15 months apart.

I’m a week away from my c-section and PGP is becoming unbearable especially chasing after a toddler. Has anyone requested a section a few days earlier and it be accepted? I don’t want to do anything to put baby at risk but I’ve been told that at 38 weeks he’s now full term and I’m really just exhausted and in pain.

BrightGoose · 25/04/2025 09:17

@Ebonythoughts i feel you with the PGP I have an appointment with the physio on Tuesday I found some really helpful stretches on YouTube that have improved my symptoms slightly, do you have a physio you can self refer to ?

I know they only like to do sections before 39 weeks when there is a medical need as I have had this discussion with them but they might listen to your concerns it’s worth asking, other than that try everything to induce labour and then they will have to do your section early (I went into labour with my second before my section date)

microwoods · 25/04/2025 12:30

@Poster57hope all is going well with the induction x

@SnakebitesandSambucashope you are being well looked after x

@Dojo13how are you doing? Did you have your section yesterday?

I had my growth scan today at 37 weeks, all is well and he is on the 65th centile so growth is fine. They aren’t recommending induction (thankfully!) so I will just be left alone until baby arrives or until my next midwife appointment at 39 weeks ☀️

TheBeesKnee · 25/04/2025 18:29

I am at the stage of pregnancy now where people are hassling me every day. Some outright asking if I've had the baby and others trying to be subtle (messaging a "hi Hun how are you feeling today?" Every single day when we would normally message once a week tops) and I am feeling VERY FED UP. 38+3 and I'm exhausted with a toddler to look after and a house that's a mess.

No one aside from 3 people know what I'm scheduled to have a CS on the 1st May 🤣

Oh bless you! I’m fed up too.

considering getting a cleaner for 2 hours to give the house a blitz before baby arrives

LozC0411 · 25/04/2025 18:39

I’ve got my 38 week midwife appointment tomorrow (even though I’m 39 weeks on Sunday😂) as my midwife has been off this week. Received my letter today confirming my induction for Monday which was reassuring after this weeks events🥲
Getting painful cramps in lower back and stomach along with the weird pulling sensation I’ve been feeling for a few days so going to mention that tomorrow.

Hope everyone else is doing well, really exciting knowing some babies are here or will be here very soon!🤗

TheBeesKnee · 25/04/2025 18:44

@Darkambergingerlily oh do it! I hired a cleaner through an Instagram ad that got me at 2 in the morning when I couldn't sleep 🤣 2 hours for a deep clean and she did the oven and bathroom. Honestly it felt worth it to not have to clean a toilet alone.

We'll ignore the fact that the house is already a tip again...

BrightGoose · 25/04/2025 19:14

You guys are all so close I feel like I still have so long left. I can’t wait for all the baby announcements!
I feel cleaned the house last week and I feel better for doing it but I have to keep ontop of it now! But defo feeling it now

also to rant my badger net is not working properly the system we use to show assessments and blood results and I cannot see any of my results and it’s really frustrating when I am being tested for my condition ! Stupid technology

My badger notes haven’t worked since I’ve been about 16 weeks!! I’ve chased it up with numerous people including my midwife and still nothing🥲 There should still be an option for paper notes or an alternative way to get results etc online

BrightGoose · 25/04/2025 19:28

@LozC0411 definitely! I wish I had asked her to text me my results as she knows it doesn’t work and I want to know my numbers I do have the consultant on Monday so I will ask them and I know if they were too high I would be called in but I want to know !
