Hi everyone, I got my first faint positive at 8dpo and then clear positive 9dpo. My ovulation dates are right as I did a scan, so I’m pretty shocked I got such an early positive.

i’m due July and this is my first baby. But it’s not my first pregnancy, I have had early losses and ectopic before so I’m anxious about that and just hope it sticks.

11dpo today and my boobs are sore and just peeing a lot.

Congrats 😀 I'm similar to you, had 2 early losses so really hoping this is the one 🤞🏼

@CadoAvo that'll be good for you, a break away. I'm off work next week so looking forward to the rest!

Yeah, I'm sweating like crazy when I'm asleep so I'm changing bedding all the time haha

Ahh a week off work is great! I hope you do lots of relaxing 🥰

Sarahlou677 · 26/10/2024 19:02

Got a faint positive this morning due date the 4th. Thus will be my second baby, I didn't have symptoms for weeks with my first but the last 4 days my breasts have been agony

MaSads · 26/10/2024 21:00

Hi everyone congratulations to you all! I am 16 dpo today, tests are now 'dye stealers'. Found out at 9dpo and have been feeling extremely sick today, it has been very intense! Never felt like this with my dd this early so quite surprised. Also feeling lots of pulling sensations along c section scar

The ladies who have early scans with your epus, did you call them to organise it? I'm wondering whether they will give me an early scan if I ask as I've had a previous c section, scarring and losses.

My test from today, hoping I can convince myself to stop testing soon 😂 x

Good looking test 🥰 not sure about the c section and scarring for EPU but my EPU only offer an early scan if you've had 2 previous miscarriages. Or if you've had 1 ectopic.

Morning all! Just got my BFP at 12 DPO. Cautiously optimistic as had a miscarriage last time so I'm quite anxious. Nothing to do but wait and see I guess!

Based on ovulation I'm due 4 July! Had a positive test yesterday 14dpo after negatives 10 and 12 dpo so hopefully everything is ok hormone levels wise...

BluebellGarden · 27/10/2024 17:54

Congrats everyone 🥰 Just wondered if others are incredibly anxious? This is my first pregnancy and it took 8 months ttc to get here so I'm sure we're very lucky, but I can't help thinking the worst! What are you supposed to do with yourself between finding out (5 weeks for me) and the first scan?? As things stand mine will probably be right near my birthday and just before Christmas so I'm petrified in case something goes wrong especially at that time of year!

Pricklypickles · 27/10/2024 18:39

@BluebellGarden I wasn't anxious at all in my first pregnancy but this time round I definitely am. I feel like we were so much more invested in getting here this time. It stopped being fun trying to conceive and instead became very draining and consuming. I'm scared to go back there again and have to do it again.

Obviously, saying that I'm very grateful to be in this position - just wish we could fast forward a bit and find some reassurance in hearing a heartbeat or getting a scan. After that point it is easier to relax and enjoy each day of the pregnancy as it comes!

I'm trying to distract, distract, distract - keep busy, exercise, focus on work. I'm trying not to overthink at the moment.

Snugget · 27/10/2024 19:04

@BluebellGarden I am also feeling rather anxious this time and like yourself have considered how close to christmas that first scan will be.
I am thinking of booking in a reassurance scan for a few weeks time just to help settle the overthinking a little, maybe at 7 or 8 weeks.

Yep I’m also anxious, I had a loss and an ectopic before. So I’m just a bit worried and hoping everything will go okay!

ThePodParent · 27/10/2024 19:44

@BluebellGarden I'm feeling a bit anxious too! In my previous pregnancies (2 babies, 1mc) I've had private scans at 10 weeks, partly for reassurance, but also for fun too, so
I think I'll do the same again this time. Might throw in an extra one at 8 weeks whilst I'm at it! (If this all goes well, this will be our last pregnancy, so I want to make the most of this little season in our lives ☺️).

ThePodParent · 27/10/2024 19:47

@BluebellGarden oh and in terms of what we do in this bit... I agree with a pp about just trying to keep busy. I also make myself a little calendar on my laptop and basically tick off each day that passes to keep me feeling like scans etc are getting closer :) I'm a bit of a nerd so I work out what % of the way through pregnancy I am each day and write that in 😅

narwhalsarereal · 27/10/2024 20:45

@BluebellGarden I've booked a private scan at 7weeks as it just seems so long to go until 12 weeks.

TrulyMiss · 28/10/2024 07:59

@BluebellGarden I think @Pricklypickles is right - it's all about distraction. I find audiobooks good or a good series to binge watch on Netflix! Whatever stops me being alone with my thoughts 😀 I'll go for a scan at 7 weeks as my miscarriage was a MMC, I had a sense that maybe things were t going as they should but dismissed my fears until I went in for the scan... it's a hard few weeks but hopefully all will be well!

owlcat24 · 28/10/2024 08:22

My 12 week scan is booked for 20 December so yeah super close to Christmas 😬 I'll be booking a private one for 7 or 8 weeks just for some reassurance. But the time is dragging at the moment!

MaSads · 28/10/2024 10:45

How is everyone feeling today? I've come down with a cold so feeling sick with a cold on top, brilliant! Hope you're all doing good!

Plumchumm · 28/10/2024 11:22

Hi ladies,

just got my scan booked in for 20th of December. It would be so nice to have them ready for Christmas to show family. I really hope the bean sticks!

i’ve been doing the early boots pregnancy tests to track and I just wanna know if this line progression is good? I’m so worried about it. The tests are 10miu

Snugget · 28/10/2024 11:58

Morning all 😊

@MaSads I hope you are not feeling too rough with your cold. I keep waking up so early, this morning was 3am again so very tired and more nauseous today.

@Plumchumm the line progression looks good on those tests. Good news about getting a scan booked in too, I am hoping mine will also be before Christmas so we can let our families know when we see them.

Plumchumm · 28/10/2024 12:07

@Snugget thank you, are you getting yours booked in soon? Also I’ve been the same, I wake up 3-4am every night. Restless but also tired. The nausea hits me randomly and boobs sometimes sore sometimes not.

Snugget · 28/10/2024 13:05

I am hoping so, it all seems to have changed since I had my last. I have registered at my local hospital using their online form and am just waiting to hear back from them, but I think as I found out so early it will be a bit of a wait.
I have also been having some breast tenderness off and on, that is reassuring to hear that yours isn't constant either.

Sarahlou677 · 28/10/2024 13:30

I have registered as well but not heard yet. I'm hoping for a pre Christmas scan so we can tell people, keeping this one quiet for the time being

Superscientist · 28/10/2024 13:54

Tentatively joining a got a positive test today due 6th July. It's pregnancy 3 baby 2. I have a 4 year old and I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks in August.

Nice to see you here @CadoAvo !

I don't know if it's in my mind but I've been a bit nauseous today. I have had a rough time with sickness with both my last pregnancies but it didn't start until 5-6 weeks. I'll be peed off if it starts at 4 weeks!!

BluebellGarden · 28/10/2024 13:57

Thanks everyone for your advice re. distractions- that's a very good idea! I've been mainly reading and researching about pregnancy online but think it's probably important to take a step back and carry on with normal life as long as I understand the basics of what's going on ☺️

Didn't know an early scan done privately was an option, I might look into this if the not knowing starts to get too much in the next few weeks

@Plumchumm I am using the same tests, I'm now 18 dpo here are my tests from 9 to 17dpo - I would say they look very similar to mine. Lovely to get your scan before Xmas too!
