Hope everyone is feeling OK today, hugs to people who are having a tough time ✨️ after my epu scan in Tuesday I had an early scan booked for today and my husband could come with me this time. Measuring 7+3 now and a nice heartbeat 💓 I think I need to leave it for a few weeks now, just want to know when my 12 week scan will be! My symptoms this week got a bit worse with sickness but have calmed down over the weekend 🙈

So amazing to see the heartbeat!! Congrats ❤️
Do you mind me asking why you visited EPU on Tuesday?

I visited EPU on Monday for slight bleeding and they said the heartbeat was weak and slow but I was only 5W5D. I thought I was 6W0D but my ovulation was day 16 not day 14. We have a scan tomorrow x

LifeonMarss · 24/11/2024 15:43

Had my scan today and happy to say that all is good, baby has a regular heartbeat and is measuring 10.7mm so around 7 weeks which is where my apps have also placed me. Feel so relived as I'd convinced myself something bad had happened, I have OCD and a lot of it is health related so been struggling a lot with intrusive thoughts so the scan has really put my mind at rest. It felt so surreal seeing them on screen, really had to will myself to not cry.
Hope everyone waiting gets the good news they're hoping for.

17nic · 24/11/2024 16:48

@TTCIrish of course, so I had some brown bleeding/spotting from Friday 15th - phoned the GP and they saw me straight away, managed to get me a scan at the epu Tuesday this week to see what was going on. Thankfully the spotting stopped on Tuesday and everything was fine at the scan, they couldn't see anything that caused the bleeding. Best of luck with your scan 💕
@LifeonMarss congrats 👏 I hope things stay lovely and positive 😊
X

I’m struggling a bit with feeling it’s all going wrong

cramping stopped - worried

cramping worse - worried

always think I’m about to bleed

had to lift my toddler, pram and luggage up and down 3 flights of stairs today and worried, then realised I want to keep weight lifting.

it’s a real mind fuck

CatmumTTC · 25/11/2024 10:44

Had our routine 6 week scan today and saw the flickering heartbeat 💓 So happy as we've never made it this far before. Still nervous but think MC risks reduce significantly once the heartbeat has been seen on an ultrasound so trying to focus on that.

TrulyMiss · 25/11/2024 11:36

Has another scan today and it was measuring smaller than last week which I didn't even know was possible! At least it's clear that things aren't going to work out, just need to make sure I'm not fobbed off / made to wait longer than necessary!

Superscientist · 25/11/2024 11:40

Congratulations for those that have positive scans

I hope the days pass quickly for those of us waiting for repeat scans

I've been to the GP and come away with 2 antiemetics and a 4 week sick note. I was expecting to have to beg/justify any antiemetics and a week off sick.

That's good, I'm in the middle of a 2 week sickline. Luckily with my GP surgery you just leave a message about why you want one and they have it ready for you the next day so don't have to speak to the doctor (unless they phone you to talk about it but didn't happen with me).
Got my first EPU scan tomorrow 🤞🏼

Oh no, sorry to hear this 😔

Superscientist · 25/11/2024 12:59

That's good @CadoAvo we have a similar system we fill in a form and they decide if they want to see you or if you have provided enough information.
Last time I saw the GP the first time for cyclizine but they switched it without seeing me again.
They cancelled my perinatal MH referral just by filling in the form. I was nervous when they introduced it but so far we have always had appointments that day or has our issues dealt with without seeing someone.

How are you feeling?

Superscientist · 25/11/2024 13:01

@TrulyMiss I'm sorry I didn't see your post when I posted earlier.

I'm so sorry it was bad news at the scan. Give yourself time to process. What will happen now? Take care lovely x

ThatBeverleyMacca · 25/11/2024 13:16

So sorry to those who have recently had bad news.

I’ve had some strange, light bleeding over the past week or so that I suspected might be implantation bleeding. I’ve just done a test on my lunch break at work, thinking I’d just rule out that I was pregnant, and I was really shocked to see that it was positive and 2-3 weeks according to the Clear Blue indicator. I think it will be due around 27th July. This is my second pregnancy- I already have a 2 year old DS. Just still trying to process it all really!

I'm feeling okay. I've had no bleeding which is great as this is the furthest I've gone without bleeding. The nausea is still in full swing so hoping these are all positive signs. Although for the last 2 days I've had intermittent sharp shooting pains on my left hand side which makes me nervous. Literally counting down the hours till tomorrow. How are you?

TTCIrish · 20/11/2024 19:36

Hi all, I am 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant today, Wednesday, due July 14th. On Sunday evening I had a tiny amount of bleeding, on Monday morning I had more bleeding (not enough to fill a pad, enough to cover a handful of toilet paper). Both times it was bright red.

We went to the maternity hospital emergency room and I had an ultrasound that showed a gestational sac in my uterus. They then did an internal vaginal ultrasound and found the gestational sac and an embryo.

The doctor said the heartbeat was "weak and slow" and that combined with the bleeding we should be somewhat prepared for it to potentially be early signs of a pregnancy loss. It's been 60 hours since I last had bleeding and there's no sign of a period starting. I still have swollen tender breasts and I had bad nauseau this morning.

We have a scan booked in for Monday morning and I'm hoping there are some other people who've gone through similar situations who might be able to reassure us somewhat!

Had our followup scan today and all is good ♥️ everything looks as it should and measuring exactly on date!

Superscientist · 25/11/2024 15:38

Hopefully the nausea is positive and you get good news tomorrow @CadoAvo

I'm doing a bit better this afternoon, I've just tried a drink and so far no nausea /vomitting hopefully the meds are helping.

That's great @TTCIrish! You must be so relieved!

Babydreamer123 · 25/11/2024 16:24

Hi ladies
I'm not feeling so positive unfortunately. Bleeding and cramping and lost all of my symptoms :( I have a scan at the EPU on Wednesday and fearing the worst. I'm 7 weeks today.

TrulyMiss · 25/11/2024 16:56

Happy for those who got good news, it's such a trying time.

@Superscientist I'm back in on Friday so hopefully that'll be definitive and then I can get medical management. Hard to have more waiting to be honest, if there's no chance I'd rather have it over sooner rather than later...

I think I'll bow out here, wishing you all the best!

Superscientist · 25/11/2024 17:05

@TrulyMiss I can imagine, the days and the hours feel so long. Do what you can to stay occupied and look after yourself. It's heartbreaking waiting for the end on par with the end itself. Wishing you all the best over the coming days and weeks.

TrulyMiss · 25/11/2024 20:19

Thanks @Superscientist. All fingers crossed that you get great news!

HA22 · 25/11/2024 21:07

Anyone else notice they're very cold during pregnancy? I have the heating on 21 degrees, tshirt, jumper, dressing gown and a big blanket to feel normal :/

CatmumTTC · 26/11/2024 07:34

@HA22 yes in the day but at night I'm overheating and having to kick pjs off in the middle of the night!

Superscientist · 26/11/2024 08:16

Yes @HA22 I'm freezing all the time. I'm living in a blanket at the moment! Normally our house is at 17deg but I've been having it at 18-19deg.

Rowlandzzz · 26/11/2024 08:23

@CatmumTTC I'm exactly the same 🤣 I start the night freezing, then each bathroom trip in the night I end up losing an item of clothing, by the morning I'm naked 🤣

rivierliedje · 26/11/2024 09:22

I'm feeling really anxious about some spotting. It's usually either very light pink or very dark brown. Very small amount only on wiping and not everytime. It comes and goes.
I'm on cyclogest pessaries, but thinking of booking a private scan for reassurance. I've already had an early scan at 7w which was fine, saw a heartbeat.
