Possibly TMI but it's anyone else dealing with a dodgy tummy? I've not had IBS symptoms this bad since I came off the contraceptive pill many years ago. Colon spasms feel like nasty, keel over in pain cramps too which can be a worry.

@CatmumTTC I had this from 3 weeks to 6 weeks and it stopped for me about a week or 2 ago, I'm 7 weeks 5 days. Happened with my previous pregnancy too. I hope it settles down down for you fast

Julilie93 · 19/11/2024 14:14

Argh I'm freaking out... I have just gone to the toilet (TMI was a bowel movement and was straining bc of mild constipation) and there was a bit of blood when I wiped 😭 nothing in my pants, and only on one wipe, I know it can happen but I never had that with my first...
I'm 8weeks today and tomorrow I have my booking appointment at 11 and my early scan at 4pm (whish was the scan first!!), so I guess I'll know soon if it's bad news

TrulyMiss · 19/11/2024 06:54

@MiniMaisy if you search on here you'll find discussions of those weeks tests being a bit unreliable. There's a huge jump in the level of hcg it's looking for go to from 2-3 to 3+ (something like 150 to 2700 if I remember correctly). Different people have different levels and the more important thing is that your own level is increasing at the normal rate. I stopped using them at 5 weeks like the other poster as it was just stressing me out!! They work great for some people but it always took me ages to get 3+, even with the 4 year old sleeping in the next room now...

Thank you so much. I actually do not specifically test with just the digital test, just any test. But promise - no more. Due to specific reason I also am doing blood tests, just following doctors instructions.

this morning I felt so many think in my pelvic area, hoping there is just one there, as cramping was more than usual.
i am super happy about this pregnancy. I am 44, so have to be extra mindful and careful. My little bean ❤️

I had the same this morning. Tiny tiny bit but it isn’t there anymore. All we can do us focus on good thoughts, and pray for the best 🙏🏻

Hi and congrats to all the new joiners!

I am 7 weeks 4 days today according to flo app, I was due to have a 2nd epu scan tomorrow but I called them and they rescheduled me for Friday to give me chance to fight this cold off

Nausea and fatigue are my biggest symptoms so far, and starting to get some cravings for vinegary/sour things, like chipsticks, prawn cocktail crisps, lemons. I had the same with my daughter nearly 7 years ago so I'm thinking another little girl maybe.

I have booked a NIPT test for 9th December too which also means I will find out the gender early. It's all going quite fast for me, I found out I was pregnant over a month ago now!

Hope everyone is doing OK, and not feeling too rough or anxious. Has anyone else had cravings yet?

I cannot stop drinking fruit and barley cordial, gone through 2 bottles in a week or so

TrulyMiss · 19/11/2024 15:14

@MiniMaisy good plan! The blood tests are very accurate so give a much better picture of how things are going. It's hard though, I hate the waiting!!!

Thanks @MaSads I'm 5 weeks 4 days so hopefully it calms down soon!

Oh very happy for you! So reassuring at the moment to hear some positive news after bleeding/spotting , also read a few others over the past days and weeks, which is encouraging. And I know it's not all lost.. 😩 I will go to the EPU tomorrow, even if I have a private scan booked at 4pm, as it's just a quick 10min appointment and they don't really do any medical checks etc.. hopefully I won't get more bleeding in the night. 🤞

17nic · 19/11/2024 19:44

@Julilie93 hopefully things calm down for you and all is well! It's so horrible waiting and not knowing.
I'm really glad that they printed pictures off for me as well, I thought I was going to have to sneak some in with my phone as my husband wasn't able to come with me 😅I know it's not a guarantee of anything for now and things can still happen, but it was amazing to see 💕the wait for my booking in/12 week scan can't be over quickly enough!

sorry for the tmi I’m just worried. Been having some brown discharge for the last two days, it’s very light but I haven’t had any spotting etc previous to this and I’m about 7 weeks now. I have an appt for the 4th December but idk what to do in the mean time. Everywhere I look online says different things about whether it’s normal

It's probably nothing to worry about given its brown discharge and not red blood. Keep an eye on it and phone your EPU for some advice, they might bring you in.

Superscientist · 19/11/2024 20:51

@LifeonMarss I would take it as a positive that it's still brown. It's worth giving your local epu a call tomorrow. When I had my miscarriage it moved quite quickly to fresh blood and went from spotting to heavy in less than a day. I know how anxious it can make you but I think the fact it's still brown and spotting I would have a little bit of hope.

I feel a bit stuck in limbo tonight. I have my scan at the epu tomorrow morning. Really hoping it's good news but don't want to get my hopes up. I've not worked much the last 2 days because of fatigue and sickness. It would to know if it's means something. One of the hard things from my miscarriage was the weeks of feeling awful for it to just end.

CatmumTTC · 19/11/2024 21:05

Impatiently waiting for my 6 week scan next week (routine due to fertility treatment) and found this really informative video on YouTube about early ultrasound scans and what you should expect to see (with pics) at different dates and what the sonographer is looking for. video is called "understand your first trimester ultrasound" by Lora Shahine. Feeling much more prepared now.

Fingers crossed for those with EPU scans that all is well x

Hi everyone!

I got my first faint line yesterday 9DPO, and a BFP 1-2 weeks on a digital today.

This will be my first pregnancy and I have absolutely no idea what's next! Calling the GP tomorrow to see if they can book me in for the first appointment.

Due date showing at 30th July at the moment!

Hi everyone and congratulations - newbie to the thread here! I’ve just found out I’m pregnant (4 weeks exactly) and my due date is coming out as 30th July so just in the July due date frame! 😊

We already have a 3 year old who’s another July baby, feeling excited but super anxious this time round and hoping it sticks. I kept testing my HCG levels just to make sure they’re getting darker for reassurance.

Nice to be able to share it here as we haven’t told anyone yet! Is anyone planning on getting any early scans?

We are due date buddies!

Im thinking of early scan at 8 weeks, first pregnancy

I had my scan this morning at the epu. I'm measuring behind. I should be 7+3 and I'm measuring at 6 weeks. There's a heartbeat but it's inconclusive whether it's growing as it should. They are going to rescan in 2 weeks.

Same for me! I had three positive (but faint) easy at home tests this morning…I’m not sure when I ovulated because I decided not to test this month (classic!). So I’m worried about line progression, but trying to just take it day by day.

Congratulations to you both btw @Parks17 ❤️

LifeonMarss · 20/11/2024 12:35

Has anyone else gone off meat? We had pigs in blankets with dinner last night and I couldn't stomach them, came home early from work and opened the fridge, saw some raw mince and couldn't stop gagging. Even the though of it is making me feel sick. Only thing I can really stomach is apples and brown toast

Oh no, how worrying for you. Hopefully things will have caught up at the next scan. Two weeks is such a long time to wait 😔
