Another victim of a cold here, coupled with nausea its been rough. Think I am telling work tomorrow. Tbh I am so fed up there that I debate leaving everyday and becoming pregnant has really solidified that. I'm dreading telling them about the baby.
Because of my hours I've had to get DH to ring the midwife for an appt because he is on break at work during their open hours, don't have my appt yet but they placed me at 6+6 which is a few more days along than my apps have been saying.

What pregnancy vitamins are people taking? I'm currently only taking Folic Acid and was waiting until my booking appt to ask the midwife but now thinking I should just get started. Can't remember if at the booking appt they take blood and check for any deficiencies?

I’m taking Pregnacare. I think all they recommend is Folic Acid & Vitamin D but I took Pregnacare first time round and had no issues, it’s prescribed in my area in some GP practices!

SlimGin · 18/11/2024 16:10

Thank you everyone for the supplement info, I will have a look at those ❤️

Welcome to all the new joiners and sorry to see so many people with sickness/bad colds! I'm starting to get a bit nauseous in the afternoons.

@LifeonMarss I am absolutely dreading telling my work and fed up of my job too. I'm one of many pregnant ladies and I feel everyone will just roll their eyes as if all the excitement/happiness has been used up already. Not that I expect other people to be excited for me, but I expect a sort of 'oh another one 😑' reaction.

CatmumTTC · 18/11/2024 16:40

We've got an interesting situation where two of us in our small team at work are both pregnant a couple of weeks apart. We've not told our boss yet. It's going to be a resourcing nightmare next summer as we're the two more senior people in the team!

When did everyone get a 3+ on a clear blue digital test ? I'm 4 weeks 6 days and I'm desperate to take one the now to see if it says 3+ yet 😁

I think I last did one at 5+3 and still got 2-3 weeks.... I'm now 6+1 and haven't tested again. I'm too nervous.

I got it at 4w5d, I thought it would say 2-3 so bought a double pack and now wish you could get 4 or 5+ 😂

MaSads · 18/11/2024 18:09

Hi and congrats to all the new joiners!

I am 7 weeks 4 days today according to flo app, I was due to have a 2nd epu scan tomorrow but I called them and they rescheduled me for Friday to give me chance to fight this cold off

Nausea and fatigue are my biggest symptoms so far, and starting to get some cravings for vinegary/sour things, like chipsticks, prawn cocktail crisps, lemons. I had the same with my daughter nearly 7 years ago so I'm thinking another little girl maybe.

I have booked a NIPT test for 9th December too which also means I will find out the gender early. It's all going quite fast for me, I found out I was pregnant over a month ago now!

Hope everyone is doing OK, and not feeling too rough or anxious. Has anyone else had cravings yet?

MiniMaisy · 18/11/2024 18:09

I think I am 5+3 today and having sore lower back and cramps all day. No other symptoms. No nausea, change in breasts or anything.
i have sent the form off to my local hospital for the booking appointment , so just waiting for the appointment letter .

I too got married on 1/11 this year!

and so fed up with my job too. Not sure when to tell my boss.

17nic · 18/11/2024 18:09

@Cookies123 I did one at 4+3 and got 3+ which made me a bit suspicious to be honest!
Hope everyone is feeling good today!

I did one this morning and it still said 2-3. I am 5+2.
I will have spent £100 on tests soon as I am testing every day, I just can’t help myself.. some kind of stress over it

Edited

I know it’s hard but try not to stress, I was the same, I got 2-3 at 5 weeks then stopped testing. Booked an early scan that I had today & all is good, measuring 1 week behind my ovulation so unless you are 100% when you ovulated the date might not be exact!

Writerz34 · 18/11/2024 18:40

@LifesABeachx I don't get pains usually (when not pregnant) but they've been off and on since I got pregnant this time - I vaguely think it happened last time too so hopefully all fine :/

I have an 18 month old - it's so tiring and he doesn't care about TV so no respite!!

Superscientist · 18/11/2024 18:41

@MiniMaisy kindly put the tests down, save your money for something nice.
This is my third pregnancy. With the first two I didn't test until 5 days late and got dye stealers for both. One pregnancy gave me my daughter the other ended in miscarriage at 10 weeks. It's likely in lost the pregnancy earlier than 10 weeks it was another 3 weeks before my tests were negative. The tests wouldn't have shown that there was anything wrong with the pregnancy that wasn't meant to be

TiredMum97 · 18/11/2024 19:47

Hi All!

Just had my BFP this evening, which gives me a due date of roughly 31st of July so I am on the cusp of this group 😂

This is baby no 3 for me, I have 2 DD aged almost 5 and almost 4!

This baby was most definitely not planned, as I had thought I was done! But life work in mysterious ways 😂 my partner is pleased though, I still think I need time to process!

Hope everyone is managing ok with the joys of early pregnancy! 🥰

Anyone else REALLY bloated? I feel horrible and one of my colleagues out right asked me today if I was pregnant and I’m not even 8 weeks yet ☹️

Yep! I've started referring to my tummy as 'the blump' (bloat-bump). It's a bit uncomfortable already

PeachyTea99 · 18/11/2024 23:34

Had an early scan today due to some spotting and mild left sided pelvic pain. They measured me at 6+1, baby was in the perfect place and we even saw its tiny heartbeat! I could not be happier seeing as our first pregnancy was so traumatic! We are both over-joyed. This baby could not have come at a more perfect time after the last few months we have had. After our previous miscarriage almost 2 months ago, my dad's heart attack and the passing of my beloved pupper, today has filled me with so much hope. Thank you everyone for all being so kind and sharing your experiences, just praying these next 6 weeks go okay ❤️. Wishing everyone the absolute best in their pregnancies!

TrulyMiss · 19/11/2024 06:54

@MiniMaisy if you search on here you'll find discussions of those weeks tests being a bit unreliable. There's a huge jump in the level of hcg it's looking for go to from 2-3 to 3+ (something like 150 to 2700 if I remember correctly). Different people have different levels and the more important thing is that your own level is increasing at the normal rate. I stopped using them at 5 weeks like the other poster as it was just stressing me out!! They work great for some people but it always took me ages to get 3+, even with the 4 year old sleeping in the next room now...

butterfly1511 · 19/11/2024 09:00

Well I've got away with it until now... I'm 7+4 and the nausea has hit

CatmumTTC · 19/11/2024 09:28

Possibly TMI but it's anyone else dealing with a dodgy tummy? I've not had IBS symptoms this bad since I came off the contraceptive pill many years ago. Colon spasms feel like nasty, keel over in pain cramps too which can be a worry.

I'm 4+5 and did a digital yesterday which was 2-3 weeks, when we found out a week prior to that it was pregnant 1-2 weeks so I'm glad the weeks are progressing x

Babydreamer123 · 19/11/2024 11:28

I've just done a digital, stupidly not with FMU but it's still 2-3 weeks, I'm supposedly 6+2 now so I'm panicking that something is wrong and it isn't progressing

TrulyMiss · 19/11/2024 11:32

@Babydreamer123 I've no idea how to link posts but I posted a response to someone else just this morning on those bloody tests. They are for sure useful for some but cause untold stress for others. Please don't worry just based on the test if there's no other indication anything is wrong!

Emj1993 · 19/11/2024 11:39

Hi everyone and congratulations - newbie to the thread here! I’ve just found out I’m pregnant (4 weeks exactly) and my due date is coming out as 30th July so just in the July due date frame! 😊

We already have a 3 year old who’s another July baby, feeling excited but super anxious this time round and hoping it sticks. I kept testing my HCG levels just to make sure they’re getting darker for reassurance.

Nice to be able to share it here as we haven’t told anyone yet! Is anyone planning on getting any early scans?
