Got my dye stealer at today 4 weeks 3 days 😁 feel like I can relax a wee bit now 🤞

I had an early scan yesterday at 7w1d and we got to see the heartbeat which was going at a good speed. Foetus was measuring 6w6d which apparently is within expectations (apparently measurements within 5 days are normal]
It weirdly hasn't reasured me much, but nice to see.

lovealways97 · 15/11/2024 08:32

I'm a bit stressed - I'm 4w 1d today but my lines are still quite faint on tests.

I'm trying to hold off til Monday to do the other digital as the weeks should have increased by then.

Roll on July I can't cope with this level of anxiety!

No nausea today either - nipples are still on fire though!

Seeing a heartbeat is amazing! So pleased for you 😊

@Cookies123 This is great, congrats!

How are everyone's symptoms? I'm exactly 5 weeks and symptoms have really ramped up today! My boobs feel swollen and sore, though they don't look that different. I need to pee all the time and in getting lots of mild cramps and twinges around my abdomen and lower back which then make me feel sick. Feel pretty rough!

I'm 6+3 and feeling miserable with the nausea, it's really getting me down 😪 got tablets from the doctor yesterday and don't feel like its helping.

@Moomoo20 I have only have had 1 miscarriage and I'm getting a scan with the NHS. It might be worth a call

@CadoAvo I had prochlorpreazine in my last pregnancy, mine was prescribed up to 3 times a day. I'd give it a couple of days and then try to get a face to face gp appointment to make sure you are getting the right advice. I think sometimes you get a better response when they can see you looking like hell. I had a face to face for my first appointment and got cyclizine. The GP said I was giving her flash backs to her own pregnancy sickness. The cyclizine didn't help that much and I ended up in a and E after a fall because of not keeping enough food down. I missed the GP slots by the time I got a call from thr pharmacist and they seemed less understanding. I usually sound better than I looked and I felt like I was making a fuss. The prochlorpreazine was sort of helpful but not life-changing. I have some left and have taken them on bad days in this pregnancy and it has helped.

Thanks. Should I take the meds when I feel unwell or should I take them at set times regardless of how I'm feeling? I'm just annoyed at only being given 16 tablets so feels like I have to ration them. I also HATE the feeling of them sitting in my gum and still being there hours later. That in itself makes me want to vomit.

17nic · 15/11/2024 16:23

I wonder if anyone can help, I'm 6 weeks today and has some light bleeding (definitely more than spotting). The GP is referring me to the EPU but they might not contact me until Monday....I'm absolutely terrified 🙈 my other symptoms have disappeared as well x

I'd take 1 a day as soon as there's nausea for a few days. If after 3 days it's every day at 10 the next try to take it at half 9. Then take the second one if you are struggling in the afternoon. If after a few days you find you are always taking it at the same time I'd then take it preemptively just before that point. If you are still struggling over the weekend I'd go back to the GP on Monday/Tuesday.

It's annoying when they only give you a small number. One thing it does do is push you back for a review which can help those that might put up with less optimal medication just because they have it and they don't want to be a bother (I'm definitely in this camp!)

Superscientist · 15/11/2024 17:08

@CadoAvo if the buccal version aren't for you, they do also come as a tablet. I have the tablets so do go back and ask for them if you don't get on with the ones that dissolve on the gums after the weekend

butterfly1511 · 15/11/2024 07:17

I had my early scan yesterday, and baby was measuring spot on with my dates and had a lovely heartbeat. 7 weeks today ❤️

That's lovely to hear, congratulations! I have an early scan on Monday so hoping I have a similar experience!

PeachyTea99 · 15/11/2024 19:41

Doesn't show up as intense on the photo, but had my first dye-stealer today! After my recent miscarriage it's hard not to be panicking every second, but this has given me such hope! Letting myself feel a bit excited now 🤞

how many weeks are you? even with FMU my lines are nowhere near as dark as the control line, I'm really worried things aren't progressing as they should

Babydreamer123 · 15/11/2024 20:37

@lovealways97 please do not worry, just seen you're only 4w 1D! That is so early on, I didn't get a positive test until 3.5weeks and my test line didn't get as strong as my control line until I was 5 weeks.

Babydreamer123 · 15/11/2024 20:38

@lovealways97 these were my tests at 4w 1D. So faint.

You just be so worried😓. How are you feeling? I hope the GP gave you some advice / reassurance.
I'm not sure if this will be much help, does your Mat Unit allow you to ring yourself? Mines has an option for under 18 weeks, I called yesterday for advice myself.

17nic · 15/11/2024 20:43

Thanks @LifesABeachx , the GP said its common and reassuring it's not bright red/clots at the moment. He referred me to the EPU and the earliest scan they have is Tuesday so I've just got to hang on until then. It seems to have lightened up a bit but I just can't shake the feeling that it's all just about to disappear 🙈 it's horrible feeling so powerless x

laalaaleelee · 15/11/2024 20:50

I'm 4+4, I'll be getting an early scan due to a previous ectopic. I have had a successful pregnancy since then so it should be lower risk. Allowing myself to get a little excited.

Minniemad0110 · 15/11/2024 21:04

Hi all, I’m 5 week 1 day (tracking on flo app)
the past couple of days I’ve had quite a bit of nausea and today not as much. Just lots of burps, toilet visits (counted over 10 today)

do these symptoms just come and go?

im so anxious! I just want July to get here fast!

lovealways97 · 16/11/2024 00:12

thank you I'll post a picture of my tests tomorrow. I just wish we weren't TTC and I could find out I was pregnant much further in!

I think don't worry too much, my lines were still quite faint at 4+1 -see picture. I did a strip test on Wednesday at 7+1, just to make sure it's still positive and the line came straight away, and complete dye stealer (at 4+1 the pos line didn't appear first, had to wait)

Hello everyone, has anyone booked a private scan in London and if so do you recommend anywhere? I’d rather pay a bit more and have a bit more info or time rather than the cheapest option, but don’t really know where to start!

I’d like to get one at 7 weeks which I think stands a good chance of seeing heartbeat even if I’m a bit out with dates? Seems a long time away though! First week of December

Hey, I'm in London..my first pregnancy I went to Window to the womb and found it very good (8weeks), I've also heard of Ultrasound Direct being great. For this one I'm going to a place called Hey Baby Sutton, a lot cheaper but well rated on google (I just wanna check twins and heartbeat, no questions or stuff like that really).

HonestPinkTiger · 16/11/2024 08:07

Hi everyone- Hope I'm okay to join! I’m 4 weeks 5 days 😣still very early. Currently feeling excited but nervous don’t want to get my hopes up. Have heard nothing from the midwives yet not sure if my referral even worked! Hope everyone’s doing okay! X
