The nauseas awful isn't it, I feel very very pregnant now the past few days. How are you doing now? X

As much as the nausea is awful I'm taking it as a positive sign, although mine hasn't been too bad the past day or two. Thankfully today the bleeding has stopped. Next scan at EPU is Friday, it feels an eternity away right now! I know how you're feeling with the anxiety. Did I read you have been given progesterone? Have you had it before? If we do get a heartbeat Friday I'm considering asking for it, I've previously miscarried and went into spontaneous labour at 33weeks with my daughter. X

@HighSir This is true, I'm thinking the same but I think lack of sleep last night has just made me feel so worried! My bleeding has stopped as well. How many weeks are you today? Seems like we are on a similar track, my next epu scan is 19th but it does feel so far away and without seeing the fetal pole I just feel in a strange limbo! I have been given it but after reading up on the side effects and some of my previous gynae history I have decided to not take it as it may cause more problems with me then help, i may regret that but we shall see. But they did tell me it's for up to 16 weeks, so not sure if they would give it longer for you, I think you should definitely ask for it though, they said as I'd had early losses I could have it. I didn't have it with my daughter, but I think they started prescribing it after I had had her in 2018 x

6 weeks today. I know what you mean, the unknown is so hard, it's like an emotional rollercoaster. I'm glad your bleeding has stopped. Thanks for the info on progesterone, I think I'll do a little more research in preparation for Friday. X

I hit 5 weeks today and mild nausea has hit! Its every now and then, but i didn’t have this with my first, took me until 8/9 weeks to get it! Taking it as a positive! We have a private scan booked for 23 nov when i hit 7wks. This is a different version of the 2ww but just as slow!!!

Babydreamer123 · 09/11/2024 15:34

Hi everyone
I am 4w6d any feel like aside from swollen boobs, my symptoms have tapered off. Did anyone else experience the same? I had had some nausea, heartburn but all has disappeared.

Superscientist · 09/11/2024 16:19

@Babydreamer123 I'm 6 weeks tomorrow and my nausea and sickness is bad some days and nothing other days. With my other pregnancies it started between 5 and 6 weeks and by 7-8 weeks it was more persistent. Mid afternoon seems to be worse at the moment rather than mornings

Plumchumm · 09/11/2024 16:26

Hi everyone,

I started spotting again last night and freaked out and booked a scan privately even though I’m only 5 weeks 4 days. Still just a gestational sac and yolk sac but that seems to be normal. It does look a lot bigger than last time and the yolk sac much rounder.

I was able to get a picture which was nice (I know it’s stupid but in my head it comforts me to get anything I can in case a miscarriage happens then I won’t feel like I had no ‘evidence’ of my baby).

It was with Ultrasound Direct and they were actually so nice that they rebooked me in for free in 10 days, so they can confirm viability but she did measure me spot on 5 and a half weeks. Didn’t see any cause for the spotting, so hopefully it is normal.

Attach my ultrasound below because I’ve never gotten this far in pregnancy and I’m oddly proud haha

@Plumchumm
that sounds like a positive step, good news!

I’m new to this thread and have just read it all from start to finish! I got my BFP on Wednesday 6th at 10/11dpo, AF would have been due today. I’m worried my line progression isn’t as good as I’ve seen from others and it looks light so crossing fingers everything is ok! Have attached today’s test in case anyone has advice! This would be our first DC. I’m an anxious person generally so no idea how I’m going to get through the coming weeks…

If I start bleeding/in pain/tests get lighter do I ring GP or find a number for EPU, or does it depend on area? I don’t want to expect the worst but it feels better being prepared at least!

@Triangleflower pregnancy tests are binary they say pregnant or not and don't tell you about the viaibility of the pregnancy.
Before this pregnancy I have had 2 other pregnancies. Tested just once in both 5 days after my period was due dye stealers both cases. Pregnancy 1 gave me my daughter and I lost pregnancy 2 at 10 weeks the tests were indistinguishable and I had fatigue and sickness in both pregnancies too. I tested this time at 2 days late and I got a good positive but lighter than the tests at 5 days late. I've not taken any more tests.

Thanks, I know this in theory but can’t stop the worrying! I’m not great with not being in control and knowing the facts! Thanks for your experiences, really helpful. Sorry about your previous miscarriage.

Line looks great! Easier said than done but try to stop testing, or maybe wait another week. As long as your period doesn't come then you shouldn't have a reason to believe you're not pregnant.
But yes if you do experience bleeding then you will need to get see at EPU. Each health board is different, mine you can self refer by phoning EPU directly. Other places will need you to go through GP first 😊

Amazing news, scan picture looks great. I managed to get scan pics of both my lost pregnancies and cherish them dearly. Hopefully we will both have positive outcomes though!

Aw that's amazing and don't feel weird about getting a test that early, after having a MMc I totally get it and I'll be getting an early scan too this time. Maybe 8 weeks, did they say when the heartbeat starts to show on an ultrasound?
It's lovely you got a scan photo. I have a scan photo from my MMc and it's nice having something to further acknowledge that loss.

How is everyone today? My anxiety is sky high today for the first time and I'm trying to hold on until my next EPU scan but I'm very tempted to book a private one. I've been quite relaxed until now so not sure what's changed overnight!

How far along are you? I'm only 3 weeks so very early days.m but I'm hoping to book a scan about8/9 weeks

Plumchumm · 09/11/2024 21:15

@Triangleflower thank you 🥺🩷 aww congratulations and the test looks great, it also depends when you implanted, a line is a line x

@CadoAvo @Moomoo20 thank you 🥹🩷 yes it’s nice to have something to cherish. I’m sorry for your losses, I’m glad I’m not the only one who wants to keep things like that

is anyone else feeling absolutely bloated af? I honestly feel like a whale and look about 6 months pregnant. I was watching those reels of girls who take progress pics of their bumps and I’m like there would be no difference until I hit 6 months with the way the bloating is atm. I’m just in shock.

I'm struggling with the bloat. I don't remember being this bloated with my other kids but it's so uncomfortable. It started off just being at night time but now it's all day.

Me, well I'm more like 6w+2 according to ovulating later in my cycle. But on paper I'm 7w. Have you got many symptoms?

Yes I’ve got a few symptoms, nausea, fatigue, metallic taste in my mouth, really sore boobs. How about you?

Yeah similar, really sore boobs too, occasional light cramps, on and off nausea. Definitely feels like things are ramping up though

@Plumchumm Congratulations I'm so glad your scan went well, my epu scan was 5 weeks 4 days and looked exactly like yours. So nice that they are going to rescan you for free! X

Pricklypickles · 10/11/2024 18:24

Hi, hope everyone is doing OK.
7+1 today and I've got a really tender stomach/abdomen area so much I feel like all my clothes ar digging in! Also boobs. Threw all my clothes off in despair earlier and put on my baggy ugly pajamas and dressing gown.

The nausea has definitely ramped up over the last week but finding drinking loads of water helps and I'm eating all the time to try and stave it off.

Is anyone having nausea at night? I am finding myself waking between 2-4am having hot flushes and a racing heart and feeling really nauseous which is horrid.

CadoAvo · 10/11/2024 19:06

@Pricklypickles luckily I'm okay through the night as it seeks to be the only proper break I get from the nausea just now. However I feel you on the eating to keep it away. Deffo feel like eating somethings helps the nausea although the other day I overdid it and then felt sick because I'd eaten too much...can't win 😂

Currently sitting at the back door trying to cool down. Was feeling okay earlier then had a snooze on the sofa and now feel awful 😖
