@HighSir Great news, that's exciting! Did they say if perhaps the bleeding is from your cervix maybe or is it a mystery? My scan at 5 weeks 4 days Tuesday showed gestational sac and yolk sac but no fetal pole yet, I'm planning another scan privately next week in the hope of seeing some progress. Keeping everything crossed for you

@MaSadsno idea at this stage where the bleeding is coming from. With regards the sickness, I've experienced very similar, to the point moving in bed makes me worse! I don't remember it being this bad last time! Keeping everything crossed for you with your private scan. Xx

Morning everyone, hope you're all feeling good! ✨️ a little bit worried this morning as the few symptoms I had seem to have disappeared 🙈 how is everyone coping with the wait? X

rivierliedje · 08/11/2024 07:51

I've got a GP appointment booked next week and an early scan with the IVF clinic. But my midwife booking appointment isn't until January! Which seems very late. I'll be almost 15 weeks then.
I've had some days of awful nausea, I was on a bus and it was making it very bad and other days that I've had no symptoms at all.

My nausea and sickness has gone, I've went from being sick to 3 times a day to nothing but I also know it can come and go so trying to keep positive and just countdown to my early scan. Try and keep yourself distracted and not focus on it as best you can.

Just to update I had another scan it has grown to 6mm with a heartbeat. Over the moon and scared to be excited at the same time after my last loss, praying that this my rainbow. I think I’m 6w3days. No symptoms apart from bigger boobs, not even tired.

GoldenDeer · 08/11/2024 10:54

Hi all, I’ve been watching everyone’s stories and finding it helpful in these early days. I hope everyone is doing ok. I had an early scan at EPU yesterday due to spotting when I was about 6w 1d by my calculation, but at the scan they measured me as 5w 4d. I have a DD who is 2 and had spotting in the first trimester of that pregnancy so I wasn’t worried going into the scan but finding out the dating prediction (plus minimal symptoms) had left me feeling quite worried. They weren’t concerned and didn’t book me in for a follow up. I guess it’s just a wait a see situation, but if anyone has had similar experiences I’d find it helpful to hear about them.

Morning all! Sorry to hear others are having a tough time and wishing so much luck to everyone. I'm really struggling the last two days. I'm 5+3 and got two sets of bloods last week which weren't encouraging. I still have lots of symptoms but just can't have any faith in them after a MMC last time. Got my bloods done again today but won't get them back until Tuesday at least... was in tears this morning and my poor husband doesn't know what to say to me 😂

Sorry to hear you’re not having a good time. Just for a little bit of faith for you, on Wednesday the EPU said my bloods were consistent with a non viable pregnancy and when I went for my private scan yesterday we saw a heartbeat! The EPU have since said that you can’t always rely on the blood results, as sometime they don’t paint an accurate picture. I know it’s hard but try not to worry too much! We don’t worry until we have to! X

SlimGin · 08/11/2024 12:33

Hi all,
It really does feel like you're in limbo doesn't it. My DD was an accident so I had none of this waiting around.
@rivierliedje your booking appt does sound quite far away, is that just due to availability?
I am calling the drs on Monday to arrange mine.

There is a bit of a pregnancy surge at my work so I will be at least 1 of 4 pregnant ladies that I know of so far!

Plumchumm · 08/11/2024 12:58

hi all, wonderful to hear the good news. Sorry to those having a hard time

I am currently 5+3, have booked a private scan for Tuesday when I will be 6 weeks.

I really hope we get to see the heartbeat but I’m nervous as I have never gotten this far in pregnancy. I have no symptoms lately besides sore boobs and I’m grateful for that. Every time I wished my symptoms would come back, I just felt awful lol so I’m making the most of it for now

does anyone find it somewhat boring at this stage? Like now that the commotion of a new positive pregnancy test has worn off, I’m sort of like ‘what do I do now?’ 😂 I spent so long trying to conceive that I’m not used to just getting on with it now

Good luck with your scan Tuesday!

I can totally relate to how you're feeling 😂. I'm super happy that I'm pregnant, but with zero symptoms, unable to tell anyone and unable to buy anything for it...it's hard to just sit still with it 😂😂.

I've decided to make sure I'm busy(ish) for the next couple of months. I've got my watercolours out and I've been designing a few commissions, knitting, still attending my PT sessions. Although I have decided to stop my running club for now.

I'm trying to speed time up a little! X

LifeonMarss · 08/11/2024 15:44

I cannot get hold of the midwife for love nor money, she only takes bookings between half 11-3 so rang on my lunch break, told she was busy and will ring back. She rang back at 3:10 but I work in a school and that's home time so I can't take calls, just rang back and was told she will ring back on Monday. Concerned because I'm working and cant have my phone between those hours so it's going to be a cycle again of missed call and can only ring back after she's already left

17nic · 08/11/2024 16:32

@LifeonMarss oh that's such a pain! Hopefully it's not always like this.

@Eirlys75 @Plumchumm yes it's definitely a difficult one to wait for! I hit 5 weeks today and we booked an early scan for 7 weeks so a bit of a wait until that happens as well 😭 I'm so nervous!!

Moomoo20 · 08/11/2024 21:22

Hi can I Join please. Just had a faint positive today at 9dpo (due date roughly 23rd July). This was our first cycle trying since my miscarriage in September (which took 7 months to fall pregnant with). Lots of people including my Midwife told me that you are very fertile after a miscarriage, but I did not expect it to happen so quickly. As my miscarriage only happened recently, I just feel like I cannot even get excited and part of me doesn't believe that it's actually positive. Feeling so many emotions right now. The reason I tested today was because I had really sharp shooting pains on my left side near my left ovary last night. I'm so so scared I really don't want to lose this pregnancy. I'm going to give it until maybe Monday and test again and hopefully the line is darker. I miscarried about 11 weeks last time, so I feel like I will be a nervous wreck the whole nine months.!!!

Hello, Oh I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. 11 weeks sounds beyond devastating. I can undoubtedly understand why you'd be so anxious throughout this pregnancy. Have you perhaps thought of therapy? I understand it's an expense, and a privilege...but they may be able to neutralise some of the anxiety that you might experience. If that's not a possibility, feel free to PM me and I can send some stabilisation techniques over (I'm a psychotherapist myself). Sending a big hug, and keeping my fingers crossed for you x

TrulyMiss · 09/11/2024 07:30

@Eirlys75 I'd love some techniques for helping with anxiety! I've been having therapy for nearly two years, since just after my miscarriage and while I have found it very helpful in lots of ways, she hasn't been great on the anxiety piece... can't work out how to send a DM though sorry 🙈

Hello, of course 😊. I've just sent you a message!

Superscientist · 09/11/2024 10:10

@Moomoo20 I'm in a similar boat, I miscarried in August at 10 weeks. It was hard having to cope with most of the first trimester with horrid sickness only for it to come to nothing.
I'm going to message the epu next week, they offered me an early scan in any subsequent pregnancies. I'm 6 weeks on Sunday.

Oh I totally understand, I had such terrible nausea and fatigue for weeks last time I fell pregnant, so it was gutting to think I went through all that's just to end in a miscarriage. I thought the NHS don't offer an early scan even after miscarriage? Maybe it depends on the Health board. I might phone mine to ask as well, but if they don't, I'm definitely going to pay for a private scan this time, maybe about eight weeks

Yeah it's very postcode dependent! My epu has been very good. They did weekly bloods until my HCG was back to normal and have offered a scan and progesterone in subsequent pregnancies.
My friend in a neighbouring town but different hospital had very different care

CadoAvo · 09/11/2024 13:09

@moomoo20 give them a call to see what they say as every health board is different. Mine offer an early scan after 2 miscarriages or 1 ectopic.

MaSads · 09/11/2024 13:26

How is everyone today? My anxiety is sky high today for the first time and I'm trying to hold on until my next EPU scan but I'm very tempted to book a private one. I've been quite relaxed until now so not sure what's changed overnight!

The nauseas awful isn't it, I feel very very pregnant now the past few days. How are you doing now? X
