Unfortunately I will be stepping away from here.
The scan showed no signs of pregnancy so it looks like I miscarried yesterday.

I am so sorry to read this. Take care of yourself xxxx

Superscientist · 08/08/2024 15:19

Thank you @m00ngirl that means a lot x
The epu has phoned to say my HCG levels have half between last night and this morning. I have to go back on Saturday for another set of bloods.

I've spoken to my boss and have taken the rest of the week off, he's going to cancel any meetings and deal with that. Everyone has been lovely. An easy weekend is in the cards and next week we can start rebuilding. My partner has already started talking about trying again. I wasn't sure where his head would be. He got upset yesterday about the idea of me having such a horrible 5+ weeks with the pregnancy sickness for it not to go anywhere. It's been nice to be able to eat and drink more normally this afternoon. I was still horribly nauseous this morning but that might have been the nerves. Today isn't our end, we have just reached the end of the page for this story and in a few days once we have processed it all we can think about what we would like in the next plot twist x

Beclou88 · 08/08/2024 15:48

Img I’m 7week 5 days spent all day crying cause I thought if my symptoms went so had my baby xx I had miss carriage last year at 12 week 2 days so think I’m overthinking it

Ellsx6 · 08/08/2024 15:54

@Beclou88 as hard as this will be for you since miscarrying before, please remember not all pregnancy's are the same and because it happened last time doesn't mean it will again. Also I have no symptoms and I'm waiting outside the clinic atm for my scan..no doubt it'll probably be fine it's normal for symptoms to fluctuate xx

Beclou88 · 08/08/2024 16:01

@Ellsx6 thankyou I keep telling my self that I’m really struggling today I woke up and sore boobs gone not been sick at all just felt a little queasy earlier on I called EAPU they said earliest they can see me is Saturday I did take my self off for private scan last Thursday all was well thrn ,, let us all know how your scan goes xx

Superscientist · 08/08/2024 16:13

Deep breaths @Beclou88 symptoms can fluctuate with my daughter I had weeks where I was barely in work and weeks where I felt completely fine. The sickness was on and off from 5 to 36 weeks!

Just try to keep as occupied as possible between now and Saturday. Keep voicing your concerns too. I find the more I keep these types of thoughts in my head and not talking them through with people the more they snowball from mild anxiety to paralyzing anxiety. You've got this x

I hope your scan is ok @Ellsx6

Ellsx6 · 08/08/2024 16:33

Thanks for the well wishes lady's! Scan went well baby's doing amazing measuring 1 day ahead..they was waving and kicking their legs it's just so magical and I feel so beyond blessed that after 4 years we've got our miracle that we've wanted so bad. Also had the fluid behind baby measured which can tell if there's any abnormalities or something like that? Sorry new mum to be here haha anyways she said fluid all looks good too. To all of you worrying about no symptoms I hope you get some reassurance from me..I've felt fine for weeks apart from tired and feeling lazy/bad sleep and baby's fine! Xxx

Beclou88 · 08/08/2024 16:46

@Ellsx6 thats amazing so happy for you and thankyou for reassurance xxx

Beclou88 · 08/08/2024 16:47

Thankyou, Saturday seems weeks away right now but fingers crossed all is well fell better for comming in here instead of google x

Mrbay · 08/08/2024 16:52

@Superscientist - I am so sorry but I'm so glad you've got lots of support around you. Best of luck for the next chapter.

@Beclou88 - I echo the advice already given.

@Ellsx6 that's brilliant news

GlitteringCat · 08/08/2024 18:18

Im just needing a moan somewhere! I’m 10w5d and I wouldn’t have said that my symptoms had been too bad not really any sickness more tiredness and sore boobs, but today has just been the worst I feel totally wrecked. Woke up with a headache which happens some days. Noticed since pregnancy my gums have started bleeding but today was particularly bad. Had a few hours of nausea so had to leave late for work and couldn’t collect my prescription from maternity hospital. On the way to my work/ meeting got the worst cramps (bowel related) to the point I was basically mooing to deal with the pain until I got to a toilet. Managed an hour meeting and that’s about it, been lying on sofa since home with a sore head, tooth, neck and just feeling wrecked. I sometimes think I don’t have any symptoms because I don’t get morning sickness really but days like today remind me I do. I’m looking forward to being able to tell people at work I’m pregnant to excuse my being totally useless lately. But my bloating is so bad I’m already in maternity trousers/ leggings so maybe some have already noticed 😅

Ellsx6 · 08/08/2024 18:40

@GlitteringCat I'm 10w4 today according to my scan earlier and the BLOAT IS CRAZY!!!
I actually feel suffocated in my own body and no excercise water or healthy food can help it! Also constipated as hell. I'm really considering buying some maternity trousers already but this is my first and I'm wondering if I'm just being dramatic haha. Clothes are so uncomfortable though!! I hope you feel better soon also. Xx

ChristmasJumpers · 08/08/2024 19:28

@Downtherabbithole83 don't let your GP get away with it. Mine has been sooo difficult it has caused me huge stress and lots of tears. Even after I was prescribed something by the EPU he refused to continue it (telling me how much it costs the NHS!!!) until the EPU spike to him themselves and gave him a telling off.
There are lots of safe anti sickness medications that the GP is fine to prescribe, if they really won't, go to your EPU and tell them your symptoms, hopefully they'll help and spell it put to your GP that they are to continue the prescription.

ChristmasJumpers · 08/08/2024 19:36

I had my dating scan today and I am 11weeks 5 days 🥰 baby wriggling and jumping around and heartbeat going strong.
They did spot something strange with the umbilical cord as it seems to have another bit coming off it that doesn't lead anywhere. They didn't seem overly worried but really don't know what it is as it doesn't fit the markers of any typical issues at this stage of gestation. I'm booked for another scan with a consultant on Monday and under strict instructions not to Google it. They seemed genuinely baffled so I'm not going anywhere near Google as I don't want to scare myself!

My first too but at the point I can’t do my work trousers up without feeling really uncomfortable so got some maternity leggings off boohoo and I worryingly fit into them too well 😂 ordered some jeans on vinted which have a stretchy waist panels rather than those that are below the bump type. I’ve been badly constipated too and then get days like today where awful cramps and running to the loo. Just telling myself at least it’s bowel cramps and not baby related!

Ellsx6 · 08/08/2024 20:10

@GlitteringCat constipation cramps has been something I've had for weeks. Tbh Ive always struggled from constipation it's definitely worse now but you can 1000% tell when it's a baby cramp or a bowel cramp I agree xx

Downtherabbithole83 · 08/08/2024 21:05

Thanks for the advice @ChristmasJumpers - I’ve got midwife on Monday and then a scan with the EPU on Friday. I’ll contact my GP during the week and see what he says before I see the EPU. He’s been really lovely and supportive with my losses and referring me for extra investigation, this was just a bit disappointing. He did say to contact him again if I needed to - hoping he’ll be more open to it next week.

RaineyNina · 08/08/2024 21:08

Just adding myself to this thread! 9w today, booking appointment is Monday and still awaiting date for a scan. Incredibly nervous of MMC because I've barely had any symptoms, what I think I've had has only lasted a few days - a week max. Trying to stay optimistic

Patientlywaiting7 · 08/08/2024 21:14

@Ellsx6 wonderful news! ❤️❤️❤️ Really happy for you and so relieved to hear around symptoms. I’ve had 0 symptoms since finding out (I found out fairly early on - around 4 weeks)

some usual tiredness etc but that’s all.

again - really happy for you with the scan! When’s your next one?? I have mine a week today! Counting down the days but doing some house work and small renovations in the mean time to keep occupied. Xx
