@Patientlywaiting7 Ah I've been the same! Done absolutely nothing, though tbf I really tried to do a lot to set up for start of term in gained time at the end of summer so I should have easily tweakable lessons ready to go at least for the first half term. The fatigue is intense, isn't it! It feels a bit like a wasted holiday in some sense though we did manage to go away the first week (loved it but I had really bad nausea and some vomiting while abroad still), but in some sense it's nice to just chill and be ill at home and not have to worry about cover or struggling through!
Congratulations on making HOD! Hoped your team are fairly self-sufficient if some are SLT though I know they can disappear sometimes! I also want to stay as late as I can, my due date is actually 20 Feb as of last scan so I'm hoping to be able to start mat leave after the Feb half term.
@HappyGoLucky31 I teach MFL! How about you?
@ChristmasJumpers wow does it seem long! You poor thing with ARFID that must be so difficult. Thank you for the med recommendation! I'll look into it, I've basically said I want to see if it continues past my 12w (though more like 13w) scan on Wednesday and how badly. I feel guilty because my midwife and some family have been telling me only take it if it's "really bad" and I feel like I just need to tough it out because I know other women have it so much worse. But then a lot of the women I know who've been pregnant haven't had nausea that badly or not at all! That's good there's no known side effects to the baby.
@PeachMartin honestly don't get me started on the nausea 😂 it's so horrendous isn't it! I've tried ginger anti sickness tablets but I actually haven't tried biting into a fresh piece so that's something. The main thing I've found to work is eating a small plain snack every 2 hours or so even if I wasn't hungry (my DH was literally setting a timer to remind me) - I found if I left it much longer than this between eating the nausea would kick in or I was more likely to be sick. Also eating less at meal times so eating to less than 100% full as that could also make me want to throw up. I've bought anti nausea travel bracelets that haven't arrived yet but giving those a go. Someone recommended 'preggy pops'. I've found sparkling water and the odd Coke/7up help as well. And I've heard online vitamin B6 can help with nausea so planning to ask my midwife about it too. Also identifying triggers to an extent, we noticed a few of the times I've been sick the food was mild (supposed to be better) but had some cream base so I'm avoiding that now. Hope it gets better 💐 mine has been at its peak since about 8/9 weeks, at 12w+4 now.
