If this isn't your first pregnancy, when did you first feel baby? 14 weeks and im laying down and felt a weird few like bubbles sort of below my belly button..probably gas or baby? Feels strange but im probably being hyper alert because im pregnant🤣

I’m 14 weeks too and pretty sure I’m feeling something. It started last night this weird bubbling woosh feeling that’s happened a few times now.

Ellsx6 · 01/09/2024 20:24

@ChristmasJumpers I have a posteria placenta apparantly I will feel baby sooner than anterior placenta. Probably just very gassy in there!🤣🤣we did a 14 week gender scan yesterday after a sonographer said he thinks 90% he could see a boy at 13+2 so we went elsewhere and she said the same!! What are you having? Sorry if I missed it can't remember what I've read!! X

Ellsx6 · 01/09/2024 20:25

@GlitteringCat that's what mine feels like! I shall not tell my partner because he will probably think I'm insane and tell his whole phone book!🤣🤣

Mine is posterior this time too, which I'm thrilled about!! Movements were never big for me last time and were hard to track.
Ours was 100% sure we're having our second baby girl 💕 it's feeling much more real so we can picture life with our girls

Ellsx6 · 01/09/2024 20:37

@ChristmasJumpers feeling the same now we know the sex! Imagining his face and personality what we will call him and life as a boy mum!! It's supposedly uncommon for them to say boy then baby turns out to be a girl so sure it's correct after 2 said the same..it was very likely after my partners had no girls for over 80 years in his side! 😅all feels so much more real and I'm sure the bottom of my belly's getting more polky out and round!

So exciting! I'm sure it's unlikely they're both seeing something that isn't there 🥰 have you any names yet? We had one for a boy! Completely stuck for a girl so far and we have a tradition in this house of 2 middle names too 😵‍💫

Ellsx6 · 01/09/2024 20:42

My top name is Teddy as we were both chubby blonde baby's so imagine ours will be the same and I think it would suit him, partner likes it but says it sounds a bit babyish for when he's grown up. Partner likes Jimmy as he likes traditional names but I can't envision him suiting jimmy! Girls names was much easier for me but glad it's a boy because he hated all of my girls names and I couldn't bare any of his either😅

I LOVE Teddy! Theodore NN Teddy was high on my boys list 🥰
We had the opposite problem as I like quite different boy names (Felix, Tucker etc.) And DH was not on board 😂😂 we settled on Xavier in the end

Ellsx6 · 01/09/2024 21:48

@ChristmasJumpers I loved luca , swade and creed but that idea is fully out because he doesn't like at all. I'm sure I'll get my way with teddy🥰 I loved Mabel, Tarlia and Valencia for a girl😍

Anyone else who's had time off feel really "meh" about going back to work?

I usually get post time off blues, but I made the mistake of logging on to check the timings on something and saw a load of emails of people asking me to do things that I'm going to have to work through

There's roadworks everywhere on the commute so that's going to be an arse ache

I've spent the time slobbering around as I have no energy, the thought of having to pull myself together and concentrate on stuff is feeling quite overwhelming and I'm feeling quite emotional 😕

Ellsx6 · 02/09/2024 00:06

@PlumpHobbit I get you! I love work usually and look forward to it but even after having the weekend off I'm so demotivated and dread working again/count down the days until I'm off again. I just can't be bothered to do anything other than lay around slobbing. On my days off I don't see friends or spend quality time with family and partner..don't clean my house and food shop like usual I just lay around all day! I'm hoping to get out of this rut. Just remember, one day at a time🫶🏼

Screening test arrived in post! 1 in 5000 chance for all 3 syndromes. Another worry lifted!

lipgoss · 02/09/2024 10:33

Great news! @Ellsx6 Glad it came through quickly for you!

InvisibleDragon · 02/09/2024 10:37

Some sad news from me - had an early scan at 10 weeks today and sonographer couldn't see a heartbeat. Looks like the pregnancy stopped developing at about 6 weeks. Waiting for an NHS scan appointment to find out what happens next, but I'll step away from this thread now.

How long does it take for results? I thought you get them at the scan hadn't realised it was another waiting game! I have my scan today ☺️

Ellsx6 · 02/09/2024 11:41

@RaineyNina mine took 11 days and I have paper notes. A few on here it took 5 days and they have the badger app. My midwife said if there was a high risk result you'd get a call in a few days!

@InvisibleDragon I'm so sorry to hear that, take it easy🤍

I was off sick for 7 weeks and went back last week, it's been hard as I'm still not 100%, seriously tired and not motivated at all!! The time I spent off was just lazing around, mainly sleeping so I didn't feel sick. My poor DH was working full time and taking care of DD and the house after work as I have been useless!!

I am so sorry to hear this, I have just gone through this exact same thing my baby’s heart stopped at 9 weeks. I had D&C last week. Be kind to yourself as it’s such an emotional time and the healing process is so different for everyone. Sending lots of love to you. X

I'm so sorry to read this, this happened to me at the end of February and it is devastating. I hope you have good support around you, thinking of you x

Hello ladies, I have been wanting to join this thread for so long but been too scared to until today. I’ve been under the recurrent miscarriage clinic for a long time and have finally ‘graduated’ (their words, not mine!) today! We had our last scan with the RMC this morning and baby is 11w3d and all looks good With EDD of 22nd March.

Just awaiting my 12 week scan now which will hopefully be next week.

Hope you don’t mind me joining and hoping you’re all doing well in your pregnancies xx

Ellsx6 · 03/09/2024 18:03

@Jellybelly888 amazing news! I'm praying baby stays stuck for you!💕💕💕
