12 week scan went all goodBlush measuring 12+4!
EDD is 2nd march! NT measuring 1.6mm so on the lower side of normal hopefully the blood results don't take long!

lipgoss · 22/08/2024 11:26

@Ellsx6 glad to hear it's great news for you! Feels much more real now 🤗

hampshiremum88 · 22/08/2024 12:58

@m00ngirl that's amazing, mine was whizzing around all over! Crazy how much they can move in there and not feel anything yet!

That's great! How long did the blood results take to come through for you?

hampshiremum88 · 22/08/2024 13:00

Great news @Ellsx6!
Hopefully you don't have to wait long, I had my scan Monday and still waiting for the results to come through. Hopefully though as I've not heard anything via phone it means the risk should be low

Patientlywaiting7 · 22/08/2024 13:34

@m00ngirl @Ellsx6 wonderful news both! Xx

ChristmasJumpers · 22/08/2024 14:40

It's so exciting to see more people having their 12 week scans 🥰

I'm wondering if we should revisit the option of starting a Facebook group now that more people are at the end of the first trimester? I definitely find it easier to keep up with facebook posts than MN threads!

There's a Facebook group set up..
It's a bit quiet atm as I think everyone's just waiting on scans.

You're welcome to join x

@Ellsx6 @m00ngirl wonderful news ladies!! 💙🩷

still have a whole other week until my 12 week scan. Shouldn’t wish the summer holidays away but it can’t come soon enough. And randomly feel so pregnant today - cramps, tiredness (both DS and I had a little nap together) and my bump is undeniable - 2nd pregnancy. Favourite jeans no more! 😂

anyone else nauseous until they actually eat and then they are fine? X

@Zuzu2020 will absolutely join the FB group but maybe after my scan next week ☺️

Onthedouble123 · 22/08/2024 18:43

Congrats on the positive scans today! 💕
Ive stopped taking my progesterone - thought that might make me feel better but had a crippling headache all day. Was sick this morning and had my usual constant nausea all day. Here's hoping it'll just be a day or two to get out of my system 🤞🏻
I've just requested to join the Facebook group from that link. Xx

Has anyone got/ had a pregnancy pillow? Only 13 weeks but get quite sore hips so looking at them. Thinking about the bellamoon one but don’t know if they’re worth the price.

Ellsx6 · 22/08/2024 19:58

Thanks all for the congratulations!! Feeling all real now. We are going to order our pram on the weekend as it takes 12 weeks to get in stock for the one we want so will be 25 weeks when we get it..mother in law will keep it at hers though!

@GlitteringCat I've been wondering if it's too early to get one? Nearly 13 weeks and hips are always in agony. Trying to practise side sleeping as I'm a strictly back sleeper and struggle in other positions but it's been proving hard!

InvisibleDragon · 22/08/2024 20:06

@Ellsx6 @GlitteringCat I don't think it's too early for a pregnancy pillow - I had a huge one last time and it was great. Definitely made sleep a lot more comfortable. I've been making do with a pillow between my legs so far this time, but I'm definitely thinking of getting the big one out again soon!

What pram are you getting? I don’t know where I’d even start. There’s a baby show (like a wedding show) local next month that I’m thinking of going to but my husband worried it’s a bit early (will be 16 weeks).

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconutss · 22/08/2024 20:41

I got my pregnancy pillow out about a week ago and my sleep has improved so much. I have one of the huge U ones and it's bliss.... my DH even uses it if he has a sneaky nap in the day 😂

Ellsx6 · 22/08/2024 21:06

@GlitteringCat we are getting the bebecar LP-op travel system. We're also getting a nursery furniture set from the same shop and everything will be ready at different times with the wardrobe being 12 weeks they have a plan where you can just pay the deposit and pay the remainder once everything in store and ready to be dispatched so we will do that god forbid anything went wrong we will only have paid a few hundred instead of a few thousand! I don't know if 25 weeks is too early to have everything..first baby so assuming it's okay haha I'm not sure when people buy things..

Rainbowchaser24 · 22/08/2024 23:03

Hi, just to say hello to everyone! I have been following along for a while but wanted to wait before posting as had a mc at end of Feb and had joined groups etc and then had to leave which was horrible.
I've just requested to join the FB group too.

I should be 10w on Sunday. Had a couple of scans so far, last one was at 7 weeks and saw heartbeat. Having another scan on Wednesday... and then first midwife appt on Mon 2nd. Feeling a little anxious but reassured that we've seen heartbeat once x

Greymalkin12 · 23/08/2024 07:38

I have lurked on this thread, having had a frankly horrible history with pregnancies, but like a couple of other ladies had a successful dating scan yesterday. I'd like to join the Facebook group but for some reason when I click on the link I can't see the group (happened last time) when I tried to join it some weeks ago. Must be my account settings but I'm not very good with these things. Would anyone have any ideas re the Facebook issue?

Ellsx6 · 23/08/2024 09:41

@Greymalkin12 congratulations on your scan..💕

I didn't even know there was a Facebook group..didn't see anything about it on here x

Ellsx6 · 23/08/2024 09:41

Does anyone here believe in nub theory? About 7 suggestions for boy and none for girl so far..!!

Muffin101 · 23/08/2024 13:06

Had my ‘12 week’ scan this morning, but were actually measuring 10w6d, so that threw me a bit. Knew my dates were estimates but I thought, if anything, I’d be further along not less. All looked fine, baby was waving and wriggling quite happily. Lovely to see them. She could see some fluid but thought it was a burst blood vessel or something.. apparently I should expect some spotting in the next few weeks.

Onthedouble123 · 23/08/2024 13:56

@Muffin101 pleased all looked good. And reassuring to get the heads up so you don't panic if you see anything.

Does anyone have Badger notes? I keep checking to see whether my combined screening bloods are back but I don't know what I'm expecting to see. Will it be a number I need to interpret or will it just say low/high?
It was all paper with my first baby and so the first we knew was the letter explaining it rather than raw results if you see what I mean. Xx

MOLWI · 23/08/2024 15:15

Had my 12 week scan yesterday! All good, such a lively baby moving around constantly!
Anyone any good with nub theory and want to take a gender guess?! 😅

Due March 2025 thread 2
hampshiremum88 · 23/08/2024 15:45

@Onthedouble123 I have badger notes and got my blood results back yesterday after having a scan on Monday.
They list your chance of having it, for example 1 in 5000 and then will say Low.
When did you have your scan? X

Onthedouble123 · 23/08/2024 15:47

@hampshiremum88 that's really helpful thanks! It was only on Wednesday so not expecting them to appear til Tuesday probably with the bank holiday in the way. But that's not stopping me from checking! Xx

Ellsx6 · 23/08/2024 16:29

@MOLWI also just had ours and baby was moving crazy!!! I sent it to the nub theory experts and all said boy. Your nub looks completely different to mine so I'd say girl!
