On that subject.....

Who's finding out the sex and who isn't?

I'm not....

We found out 2 out of the 5, but didn't tell anyone. This time, I really don't want to know, and as it's our last I definitely want that lovely surprise at the end. My husband has been the one to tell me each time, so it's a bit if a tradition now!

Lidlisthebusiness · 09/08/2024 10:42

@apple67cherry that's adorable! I was on our local Tesco yesterday, but it's only small. They have their summery bits on sake, but nothing for the new season yet. I'll have to head out to a bigger store.

@OrangeSlices998 thank you, I don't know why I didn't think of H&M!

@UrbanSquirrel beautiful choices! We've also invested in a lot of the wooden toys, and I've just had baby's first toys delivered! I went for the Grimms roller and pyramid rattle, both are lovely 🙂

UrbanSquirrel · 09/08/2024 10:48

@Lidlisthebusiness Oh gosh I've already bought a toy too 😂 Couldn't resist this H&M hedgehog rattle... x

@apple67cherry what a cute suit!

I've actually already bought a buggy / pram 🙈. I'm aiming to buy the majority of things second hand and this Jané Trider buggy with carrycot popped up for £50 on the local Facebook page and I couldn't help myself. We live semi rural so I've been keeping an eye out for an all terrain buggies and this looks ideal.

I've got a gender scan booked for 7 Sep and cannot wait! Although the nub consensus is resoundingly boy 😅

Has anyone seen any nice neutral clothes about?
We're not finding out what we're having, and when I click unisex on lots of clothing sites, it still comes up with blues, pinks or things I would definitely count as one or the other.

I bought a cute beige outfit with dogs on the other day in TK MAXX (husband and I are dog mad so it felt fitting to be the first outfit bought). The dogs collars are blue and my boomer mother said...oh you're having a boy then eye roll

KittyFantastica · 09/08/2024 12:51

Hope you're all doing well, girls. Just wanted to drop in and say my NIPT results all came back low risk! 🥳 Roll on the dating scan next week.

herewegoagain123456 · 09/08/2024 13:02

I can't bring myself to buy anything till after the 20 week scan 🙈 but all the stuff you are getting sounds super cute

Just wanted to update.
Brown bleeding turned to fresh red yesterday and I passed a fleshy pink like tissue. I panicked and flushed it but now regretting it as didn't get a proper look to know if it was a miscarriage and that was the sac :( back to brown blood now and heavy red only last for about 10 minutes when I passed the tissue. Any thoughts on this ?
Had a rough night expecting the worse, have my dating scan this afternoon so expecting to confirm miscarriage then. Absolutely devastated :(

@NoisyBee so sorry to hear you're having such a worrying time, really hope they give you good news this afternoon x

DearKoala · 09/08/2024 13:32

My first time posting, hope you don't mind me joining late. i have been reading along for a while but I was too nervous to post. I am 14 weeks, had my dating scan at just before 12 weeks and everything is looking good. Still feeling tired and anxious. I was hoping this would get better now in the second trimester.

superj21 · 09/08/2024 14:57

Amazing news @KittyFantastica 😊

Welcome @DearKoala! Sorry to hear you're still feeling anxious. I definitely still have it in the background too, but am now trying to embrace the excitement more than the anxiety 😊

superj21 · 09/08/2024 14:59

@NoisyBee I've got no advice other than to say hopefully it's nothing other than a harmless bleed. From what I understand, at this gestation especially, if you have no cramping that's a positive. Fingers crossed for you.

I've been looking too, though I was wondering if I could get away without one this time. I had a Bugaboo Donkey before, which saw me through 4 of them, but I'm considering just seeing if I get by with a sling this time to save a bit of money and space. Or that may be an mad idea!

NoisyBee · 09/08/2024 15:02

Just wanted to update you all. Been for my scan and as expected it wasn't good news. The baby was still there but had no heartbeat and they think it stopped growing around 8 weeks.
Wishing you all best wishes for your pregnancy journeys and hoping to be back on a similar group in the near future x

Lidlisthebusiness · 09/08/2024 15:04

I'm not....

We will be! Found out with my other two. My daughter (4.5) is absolutely convinced it’s a girl, and I think I need to be able to prepare her if it’s a boy!

Debating doing NIPT, got my screening results back and even though the T21 results are low chance they’re much much greater than my other two pregnancies and much higher than the results for T18 or T13. It’s expensive but I think I’ll worry the whole time otherwise

TTCagain85 · 09/08/2024 16:47

@NoisyBee I'm so sorry to hear this news. Nothing prepares you for those words. The floor just drops beneath you. It's horrible. I do hope you have a good support network around you and please go easy this next wee while. X

Welcome 🤗 I feel exactly the same, hoping the tiredness eases as we get further into 2nd trimester. Don’t think i’ll fully settle until baby is in my arms, still doesn’t feel real at all. Too anxious to tell anyone but DH so far.

KittyFantastica · 09/08/2024 17:12

So, so sorry to see your news @NoisyBee This happened to us in my last pregnancy in March. It's so harsh and unfair. Take as much time as you need and treat yourself kindly. Please reach out if you have any questions or anything 💕

SBelfast · 09/08/2024 17:36

Didn't realise there was a new thread and came looking to see how everyone's doing.

@Piluka thinking about you and keeping fingers crossed.
@NoisyBee so sorry to read your update. Hope you take care of yourself.
