@NoisyBee Did you track ovulation with temping, or with LH sticks (or both)? I read a lot about LH while TTC and there is a fair bit of variation in how long after the LH surge women ovulate - time to implantation can also be variable. Together these might account for being a week behind what you thought you should be? If I'm reading correctly, you've been a week behind at both scans - I would be reassured by this that baby is developing normally (I.e. not falling further and further behind). Bleeding is really scary (I had red blood at 6w) but it doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong. Have you called EPU to tell them about the bleeding?

Keeping everything crossed for you.

Yeah I did both temping and lh testing so I'm pretty sure it was accurate. If I went by the dates they said are scan, I would have also got my first positive test on 3dpo which seems incredibly early.
No I haven't told EPU as have my dating scan on Friday so thought it was worth waiting for that.. this week is just going incredibly slow !

Hey ladies. Is anyone else suffering with fainting/dizziness? I'm 13w4d and for the past 2 weeks I'd say, at least twice a week I faint and or get dizzy. Everything on the NHS app says it's normal so I'm not worried. It's mainly annoying (and embarrassing as I fainted at work today!) if anyone else is suffering any tips? I have bought glucose tablets to try and help but sometimes I'm too late haha

I had this with my first, try a salty snack, it’s often due to low blood pressure and the salt can help it come back up. Hope it doesn’t last too long!

TTCagain85 · 07/08/2024 19:41

My sciatica is playing up so badly...2nd bout! I'm 13.5wks. Been to physio but they won't do much with me being pregnant. I've been doing stretches (most days!) But it's really flared up. Anyone got any recommendations for any good free pilates/yoga online like youtube?

OrangeSlices998 · 07/08/2024 20:40

I thought the nausea had gone, it’s back with a vengeance! It’s making eating anything really hard because everything makes me feel sick and I don’t fancy anything! If I do fancy something and I eat it, I’m wretching for ages afterwards hoping that I can keep it down. It’s just miserable! I’ve been such a moaner if I had hyperemesis ☹️🤢

herewegoagain123456 · 08/08/2024 06:34

Well I had Abit of a bleed last night. 3rd time so far, not sure whether to ring up. I have my booking appointment tomorrow and private scan on Sunday. If it gets worse I will.

Why do I feel this pregnancy isn't going to be plain sailing 🤣

UrbanSquirrel · 08/08/2024 06:48

@TTCagain85 Very much hoping your sciatica calms down again soon. That sounds utterly horrible. I don't have any particular recommendations but my midwife told me there are some really good pregnancy-focused channels on YouTube, so if you find something good, please do let us know, as we might be able to make use of it too!

@OrangeSlices998 That just sounds so horribly unfair. I'm sorry to hear you're still suffering from with it: is there anything else they can prescribe to make it all a bit more bearable?

@herewegoagain123456 and @NoisyBee I'm so, so sorry to hear that you're both experiencing bleeding, which must be really unsettling. I don't have anything sensible to say but just wanted to send you both virtual hugs, and to say good luck for both of your appointments tomorrow (and the scan on Sunday) and I hope these end up offering comfort and some benign explanations for the bleeding. Keep us posted xxx

Do ring. You might get seen sooner than Sunday!

Just had my 12 week scan! If anyone understands nub theory (I don’t haha) what do you think?

TTCagain85 · 08/08/2024 14:54

@Moyaingoya this is so cute! Had my scan today and pics are rubbish as baby was too active 🤣 I think girl, but not sure!

EastLondonCoffeeFiend · 08/08/2024 14:57

beautiful scan @Moyaingoya - I think boy, but don’t know what I’m doing!

Did anyone else have a delayed letter for their NHS combined screening? Getting worried that they lost my bloods as it’s been over two weeks 😬 time to chase it up, I guess!

I would but I can't get to the hospital any sooner than Sunday.

It's stopped now. So fingers crossed 🤞🏽

autumnbake · 08/08/2024 16:25

Hi all, please can I join? I have been reading silently in the background.

Loving the beautiful scan photos.

I had my 12w scan on Tuesday, all looked good and baby was very wriggly which was incredible to see. Got told my booking bloods came back fine too which was a nice surprise.

Just waiting for my screening blood results back now. NT measurement was fine. Extremely anxious, should have paid for the NIPT but here we are…🥲

Has anyone seen any nice neutral clothes about?
We're not finding out what we're having, and when I click unisex on lots of clothing sites, it still comes up with blues, pinks or things I would definitely count as one or the other.

I've just been to Tesco for some food bits and couldn't help myself but see this..how cute! A beige fluffy polar bear suit with the feet and mittens in. I saw lots of gender neutral stuff in at the moment and lots of newborn bits half price 😁

H&M do lots of lovely neutral bits, so do sainsburys if I remember rightly

Who's finding out the sex and who isn't?

I'm not....

I've done the gender blood test with windowtothewomb, I did it yesterday at 13+4 and should get results next week! however everybody thinks boy from my pic as it's looking quite obvious 😂😂

@Lidlisthebusiness I have no idea if this link will work - but if you click on the 'clothes' section of this Pinterest board, these are all the baby clothes I've saved so far, all of which (as it stands) I would be happy to dress a boy or girl in. Even the stuff that says boys because it has dinosaurs on! As an ex-dinosaur-obsessed-little-girl I firmly believe that dinosaurs are gender neutral 😆

Likewise there's some lovely neutral stuff on Etsy, though it's on the expensive side, like this:

@herewegoagain123456 In answer to your question, we've already found out via the NIPT. Neither of us particularly care for surprises and we like the fact that we can get a better sense of our little girl before she comes along. She already has a name and nickname, and we just find it easier to plan that way. Mind you, I am religiously avoiding anything pink. As you can see from the kind of clothes I'm saving above, I like the more neutral end of things - but, if she's anything like my niece, she'll be demanding a sparkly tutu anyway by the age of 2 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 x

We didn't find out with our first baby, but we plan to find out this time! I would just like to be a bit more prepared with what I will / won't reuse and get a bit organised before we have a newborn and a toddler on our hands 😂

NoisyBee · 09/08/2024 08:59

Just wanted to update.
Brown bleeding turned to fresh red yesterday and I passed a fleshy pink like tissue. I panicked and flushed it but now regretting it as didn't get a proper look to know if it was a miscarriage and that was the sac :( back to brown blood now and heavy red only last for about 10 minutes when I passed the tissue. Any thoughts on this ?
Had a rough night expecting the worse, have my dating scan this afternoon so expecting to confirm miscarriage then. Absolutely devastated :(

UrbanSquirrel · 09/08/2024 09:07

@NoisyBee I'm so sorry to hear this - it must have been very distressing. But it's good that you have the scan later, so they can check to see whether the bleeding may potentially have been related to something else. Sending you good vibes and a handhold for the scan, and please let us know how you get on. With much love xxx

I've got a gender scan to find out the sex in about 2 weeks, we did last time and we have lots of boys stuff kept so if we're having a girl I can see which stuff is relevant and get rid of the rest. I like to be organised so couldn't deal with not knowing!
