Anyone else due January 2025?

I’m coming up to 16 weeks with my second. This time seems to be flying by as life is much busier with a nearly 2 year old!

Luckily, felt pretty much fine the whole way through so far, albeit being tired. However, I was diagnosed with GD and currently diet controlled, which is bit of a bummer.

How are you feeling?

@whenthelevee
Thank you for the explanation!

Yes, it sounds like your case is rare indeed. Good luck with your cesarian, it sounds like you are going to be in good hands and they are prepared for everything.

For me there were quite a few factor present early at the pregnancy.

First of all my age, the ivf, and it was a twin pregnancy , but one of the twin stopped developing around week 9, so it is more like a normal single pregnancy now.
Then I had high inhibin-a in my blood at down screening, and only one umbilical artery, which makes preeclampsia and growth restriction more likely. However, baby's growth rate is reassuring so far and my blood pressure, etc is low. So maybe everything is fine.
Although I had mild polyhydramnios on the last scan, so now they keep an eye on that too, but that could be nothing again.

My next growth scan is this Friday, so I will ask them about the expected delivery time if I don't forget it again.

Firsttimetrier · 04/12/2024 23:55

@whenthelevee I’m due 4th Jan but preparing for an early delivery as my first came at 38 weeks, so if this follows suit, I could be giving birth around Christmas Eve/Day.

Baby is quite engaged and my midwife said she doesn’t think I’ll make my due date when I had my last appointment 😬. I will be having a scan and another appointment next Wednesday, so interest to see what they say!

Had my scan to check if baby was breech and thankfully her head is down. It was a bum which the midwife thought was a head 😀

Permanently bruised under my right ribs because there is always a big bum wedged in there 😂

Help guys I'm 33+6 and I've started getting this unbelievable lower back pain in the evening it randomly just comes and is so bad tonight that i felt like i had to crawl! Can anyone help what this might be and has it happened to anyone??

BeLemonQuoter · 07/12/2024 10:21

@Mama2b99 could it be labour? How are you today?

It could be just a 3rd trimester symptom. I started to have cramping and mild lover back pains occasionally, but it is nothing compared to what you describe. Have you talked to triage?

I would also say it could be labour and worth a call to triage as they’ll be able to monitor you.

Hope you are okay x

Any update?

I'm 34weeks and can barely walk with SPD 😢

BigDeanWinchesterFan · 11/12/2024 23:08

@unknownscot me too :( I had to do lots of tiny bits of walking today, feels like I've pulled every muscle in my groin and hips are at the end.

Been thinking of you @Mama2b99 hope everything is as OK as it can be

Honestly the community on here can be so amazing... it's so lovely and reassuring to know there is support .. I phoned triage that night and they said its quite normal but if it persists then to go in .. since then it has happened on one other night so I'm guessing its just the baby sitting on a nerve ? Or when i stand for too long perhaps? How are you doing x

BigDeanWinchesterFan · 12/12/2024 02:51

That's really great (not for your lower back) and triage I've always found to be really good at being reassuringly decisive

I'm alright, 34+6 today and 2nd last day of work thank goodness, I have had enough. Seems very early but my twins came at 35+5 so I wanted some time before and I didn't have enough annual leave accrued for Christmas

MrsNT · 13/12/2024 22:25

Anyone still not head down at 34 weeks??

Sarah268 · 14/12/2024 06:10

Also getting what I guess is PGP at night… feels like my lower stomach muscles are ripping apart when I roll over?! 35 weeks

@MrsNT I was last appt but if you’re 34 there’s def time to move! What has your midwife said?

Midwife said not to worry and there is still time and room. I'm trying spinning baby exercises but supposed to do those 3 times a day.barely find time to do once with a toddler

Nope, my baby has been lying transversal most of my third trimester. However I have some complications which mean I need a caesarean, so I guess it doesn't really matter - other than it being really uncomfortable and it killing my back!

whenthelevee · 15/12/2024 08:06

How is everyone feeling? Anyone think they may be getting a December baby instead of a January one?

I've just had a letter come through with my section date for 3 January, just hoping the little one will hang in there!

Firsttimetrier · 15/12/2024 08:11

@whenthelevee I’m 37+1 today and my DS came at 38+4, so I think I’m going to have a December baby. Really got a strong feeling it will be Christmas Day 😂

I have got a section booked for the 2nd Jan, but going to change it to an induction as I want a VBAC, but hoping I won’t need either and they arrive naturally!

Hey x
Hope you're getting on well! Is there a specific reason you're having an elective c sec?

BigDeanWinchesterFan · 16/12/2024 07:37

Also have a big feeling he's going to be December rather than January. My first were 35 weeks +5 and I'm 35 +3 today but he seems happy enough in there.

Waiting for my c section date but I'm 2 weeks behind you guys so presumably they'll send in roughly 2 weeks. It was all a bit last minute last time 😅

Sarah268 · 16/12/2024 17:17

@BigDeanWinchesterFan
out of interest was your first just very early or was there something that happened that meant he was delivered early for a reason?

just interested as it’s my first and I’m wondering the chances of me having an early surprise 😂

edited to add that I just re-read that it was twins so assume that was something to do with it!

Mama2b99 · 16/12/2024 03:19

Yes, I have a large fibroid in the lower segment, basically where the baby's head should be and completely blocking the baby's exit. I've known it was there since my 20wk scan so at least I've had a while to get my head around it.

The fibroid increases my chances of preterm labour as well so just hoping she has no plans for an early appearance!

Edited

I presume the twin thing but my mum delivered all her babies at 37 weeks and my sister'sbaby was 38 weeks. My waters started leaking and they could measure contractions (I didn't notice but I was so bloody uncomfortable at that point anyway). Twin 1 was transverse so it was always going to be a c-section, they just moved it forward a bit

Yeah I'm 36+5 and really noticing a big difference in the last few days - yesterday the baby was in such an awkward position I could barely walk without being in pain. Seems to have settled a bit today. Not long to go now though!

Hope everyone is managing to find some time to rest over Christmas - not always easy I know, especially with older kids!

Honestly, now is a stressful time to be 38 weeks 😂 I’m so on edge that something will kick off and we’ll be in hospital for Christmas.

38+2 and hoping baby holds off appearing until the 27th Dec!
