MrsMoggy · 22/08/2024 09:02

Good luck @MudandMoet, try and eat and drink plenty in the beginning, I didn’t and regretted it. Went a bit loopy
on the gas and air and kept saying how much I wanted a Jammie Dodger 😂

WinsandSam · 22/08/2024 09:27

@MudandMoet good luck today!! Hope all goes smoothly. Keep us posted on your progress x

TripleESept24 · 22/08/2024 10:08

Good luck @MudandMoet 🫶🥰

MudandMoet · 22/08/2024 11:10

Thanks so much everyone of you ❤️ 🫶🏻🥰 we had a full English in the cafe after all observations were taken. Just had a little snooze in our birth room while waiting for them to come and break my waters. It's a lovely little room with private bathroom etc. They said I can then either wait 4 hours to see if I start off myself with contractions or have the drip straight away to get going. Being the impatient sod that I am, I've asked for the drip straight away to get things going....

Exciting @MudandMoet ! What about pessary/prostaglandin before the drip and breaking waters? Mine started after a pessary.

MudandMoet · 22/08/2024 12:25

@BakeOffRewatch Midwife said the pessary can take a while to kick in and needs to be left a while before you can be checked again once inserted. I'm already sick of waiting for them now to pop back in now so definitely going straight on the drip.

Wanderlust86 · 22/08/2024 13:53

Good luck @MudandMoet 🥰
So exciting, you're nearly there!

BakeOffRewatch · 22/08/2024 14:03

hol92 · 22/08/2024 14:10

Good luck @MudandMoet 😄 so exited for you ❤️

BeautyAndTheBump1 · 22/08/2024 14:58

@MudandMoet if they're anything like my hospital it'll take them 4 hours to actually sort the drip out for you 😅 rather than wait 4 hours then them decide to put you on it and it take another 4 to sort lol

Fik88 · 22/08/2024 18:51

Good Luck @MudandMoet hope everything goes okay xx

Our gorgeous little beauty...Meadow Alice, born last night 22:36 weighing 6lbs 14oz. She's done nothing but sleep and eat, very content (for now)

Didn't end up with the drip girls as when they broke my waters I started contracting on my own, very thick and fast and not pleasant and went straight into full blown labour, no time for the epidural *big sobs ! I know a lot of you are still to go through it all yet so don't want to give details of how that felt but my god is she worth it.

We're going home this afternoon, I bled a lot when they broke my waters so they're just observing me for a while but I feel amazing and haven't needed any pain relief maybe that's the baby bubble, I have no idea.

Very fortunate to have not torn and just have a small graze but if I lean real forward when I wee it's not stingy. Get that grapeseed oil around your bits now girls!!!! I ended up just lathering it on in the shower because I couldn't really get to it any other way.
