@RosiePH Hopefully it’s not GD, but if it is you’ll be ok! You can still get it under control with a late diagnosis. Loads of people on the GD UK group get diagnosed really late and go on to have perfectly healthy babies. Please don’t worry about what you’ve been eating up to now - GD is 100% hormonal. What you can do between now and the test is start making some dietary changes - I wouldn’t suggest going to any extremes but you could start switching from white carbs to brown, reducing carb portion sizes (but don’t cut them out entirely as that can cause a whole other set of problems) and avoiding refined sugar (sometimes people worry that changing their diet before the test will skew the results, but it won’t). Drink plenty of water, especially at meal times, and do some mild exercise after meals eg a walk, some housework, nothing too strenuous.
Fingers crossed you don’t have it, but it won’t do any harm to make a few changes now seeing as Wednesday is a whole week away!
If you want any more detailed info, the GDUK website is brilliant, if a little overwhelming at first: https://www.gestationaldiabetes.co.uk
(There’s also a corresponding FB group which is fantastic and is moderated by actual experts, so you could also join that if you wanted any more info)
