I’m 9 weeks 2 days today and over the past few days have literally lost all symptoms - no fatigue, no nausea, not even sore boobs. I went for a private scan just over a week ago at 7 weeks 6 days as have previously miscarried and was anxious, it was all good but I’m so worried somethings amiss now as my symptoms haven’t just eased but actually just suddenly stopped altogether. Is anyone else experiencing this? Google is saying it’s maybe the placenta taking over but I thought this usually happened later, not 9 weeks.

Feeling paranoid these past couple of days. Apart from slight nausea from week 7ish to week 8ish I have had zero symptoms. Like absolutely nothing (posted earlier saying that I was getting a little bump, but I think that was just delusion). I'm 11w3d and I feel great. Which is obviously making me anxious. 😅 I keep reminding myself that there's nothing doing either way. Scan in two weeks, and the time is dragging a bit (even though I'm on holiday!)

I'm feeling like this the last few days as I had weeks of horrible nausea which seems to have mostly gone, the exhaustion has passed and generally feeling OK. It's such an anxious time, I've got my 12 week scan on Monday so not ages to wait but just so hard not having a clue what is happening!

jaybeez · 17/07/2024 10:52

So I had some bleeding yesterday (brown, not a huge amount but enough to notice). It stopped completely last night so the EPU aren't concerned and don't want to scan me (which is reassuring in a way!) but I can't help but be worried.

Considering going for a private scan for some reassurance, but I've previously avoided private scans (I've always felt they'd end up making me more anxious, I know they're really reassuring for others). A bit torn on what to do.

@Moyaingoya I've had very similar! Felt virtually fine for the last three days after having felt really unwell. Worked out yesterday and my boob ache was barely noticeable! I then woke up this morning, felt a bit shit, and then threw up all my breakfast 😂 I've also had a bit of cramping and backache which I haven't really had since 5 weeks. Lots of worrying and googling is telling me that symptoms fluctuating is all completely normal a) as your body starts to get used to the hormones and b) as the placenta does start producing hormones (my understanding is this is a gradual process which can starts about 8/9 weeks).

I had a scan at 9+2 and all was looking fine and well. I'll be ten weeks tomorrow.

SBelfast · 17/07/2024 12:20

Hey, I've just seen a few people posting about not having many symptoms. I'm the same I'm 10 weeks 3 days in theory....I had an early scan just after 6 weeks as was feeling so unwell with cramps and pain and was worried about ectopic but it was fine and there was a heartbeat. I've been feeling so much better the cramps have basically stopped, and was feeling pretty perky about it but then reading these posts I'm now feeling anxious also. But maybe it is normal considering quite a few seem to be in the same boat? It's a roller coaster from feeling so unwell and being anxious to being anxious about feeling well!! 😳
I've booked a private NIPT and scan for my 12th week. My first booking appointment is a few days after. Just going to try and not think about it. Still too scared to tell anyone although my boss knows as was so ill and a friend asked directly so I told her the truth.

elb1504 · 17/07/2024 12:28

Just to add in my first pregnancy I hardly had any symptoms that I remember apart from slight nausea and by about week 10 then I was exercising as normal and felt great just to add some reassurance. Every pregnancy is different but I know this doesn't help the anxiety, we've had quite a few losses in this group which always puts doubts in your mind!

Jenfrogg · 17/07/2024 13:11

My symptoms have been up and down too, 10 + 1 according to my dates, it's so difficult not to analyse every symptom or lack of isn't it. I keep reminding myself my pregnancy with my son was similar, fluctuating symptoms, and he's now a healthy toddler.

The other thing I keep doing is calculating how many more days until my 12 week scan, multiple times a day 😆 can't seem to help it

Piluka · 17/07/2024 13:35

@Lemonbell I'm so sorry to hear that. Take time and be kind to yourself! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hey guys, haven't been active on here for a few days. I'm 10+1 now, last scan 8+5 with beautiful baby and strong heartbeat.

On 9+5 I had two wipes of red and pink spotting again which hasn't happened for 4 weeks. They said last bleeds were top of cervix likely implantation taking ages and I had a nabothian cyst. So anyways..went to GP out of hours at 9+6 and they took a urine sample which had a fainter test line that I've had before. Doctor and I said this isn't exactly reliable as im 10 weeks gone but obviously this has panicked me. I've had no spotting since those two wipes and no cramping at all. I haven't suffered many symptoms in this pregnancy anyway but I think all in all this has totally panicked me. I have a scan with NHS tomorrow to check me over. Praying baby is okay 👌

Hey everyone wanted to update you after my continuous spotting. It's a harmless little cyst in cervix that keeps playing up and is nowhere near baby. Thankfully all is okay at 10+2. Measuring spot on with heartbeat. RELIEVED is an understatement

Great news @apple67cherry !! Baby is looking strong in there. 🧡

Bb542 · 17/07/2024 16:36

I got some bad news today. I was originally measuring a week behind when I had my first scan two weeks ago and only an empty gestational sac could be seen. Went for another scan today and while there is now a yolk sac and embryo, I'm measuring nearly 2 weeks behind 😭 so preparing myself for an eventual miscarriage 😢 my second one in less than 6 months.

I'm sorry to read this. Early pregnancy is so rough. We're all here for you. X

Toriiaa · 17/07/2024 17:05

@Lemonbell sorry to read your message. I've not been on here long to get to know anyone but I feel your pain. Time is a healer, and you will get through it x

Toriiaa · 17/07/2024 17:07

@QuantumPanic is your due date 2/2
I'm also 11w3
But I've only known for about a week 😂

I have no symptoms, nothing, nil, zilch.
Driving me mad

I have seen baby at 10w as I went for a scan as we didn't know how pregnant I was

UrbanSquirrel · 17/07/2024 17:37

@apple67cherry Thanks so much for updating us. I am so pleased to hear that all went well for you! And so happy they could explain the bleeding. You must be absolutely delighted! This whole period seems to be such a roller-coaster of emotions... x

@Bb542 I'm so sorry to hear that you had disturbing news at your scan. Is there any chance you could have ovulated / implanted late? When will you go back for another check? For now I'm going to keep my fingers thoroughly crossed for you, and hope that things settle down. But I completely agree that it's very unsettling, even though there has been some development. As @Toriiaa said, we're all here to support here. Please keep us posted, and in the meantime take good care of yourself.

I had no idea, when I got pregnant, what a tumultuous time these first few months were going to be. It's absolutely terrifying... Sending you lots of love and hope for the next scan xxx

Just to join the comments about symptoms... I was one of the lucky ones with limited symptoms anyway (no sickness, thank God), but I've noticed over the last couple of days that my energy seems to be gradually coming back. Not completely there yet but definitely have a bit more pep. And my breasts are less sore too.

I'm officially 11+5 (judging by LMP) but more likely 10+6 (judging by the two scans I've had). So hopefully I've reached the fabled point where I'm magically going to wake up one morning and look gorgeous and glowing (right? Someone, please, tell me that's going to happen).

12 week scan next Tuesday. Anxious, like all of you, but hoping that all will be well. I know some of you are in the same boat - @elb1504 you're Monday aren't you? Looks like it'll be a busy couple of days on the thread...

@retrievermum sorry! I didn't reply to you.

No the only people who know are my mum, boyfriend and midwife 😂

Toriiaa · 17/07/2024 18:22

@UrbanSquirrel I assume you've not had a baby before.
I can confirm not everyone glows. I certainly didn't, I completely greyed

retrievermum · 17/07/2024 18:30

@UrbanSquirrel my 12 week scan is Tuesday too, very nervous and very excited!

retrievermum · 17/07/2024 18:32

Just to reassure some of you, with my DD I had NO symptoms other than a few days of sore boobs!
This time around I’ve not been so lucky and have had a couple of weeks of nausea, but I seem to be coming out the other side of it now (and to be fair, nausea has been my only symptom, not even had sore boobs this time!)

UrbanSquirrel · 17/07/2024 18:34

@Toriiaa Darn it! There goes my delusion 🤣 Yep, first timer. Does it show that badly? 😜

You're definitely as excited as I was when I was pregnant with my first.
Now I'm second time around I'm just grateful I didn't throw away my really expensive maternity clothes or sell them on vinted for a quid 😂
