Week 8 and 9 morning sickness has hit me hard. I'm struggling so much (3rd pregnancy but 7 years since I was last pregnant) I've come home from work and just lay on the couch ever since. My stomach hurts so much 🙈. Currently feeling sorry for myself 🙈😂

Kt1704 · 05/07/2024 19:03

I’ve had my 6 week scan and OMG they found twins! Wowwwwww what the ff! I’m so happy and so scared!!! I’m praying everything works out and the babies stick
I feel so drained and useless from the sickness and nausea I’m really struggling to get through a day at work

Wow @Kt1704 !! The first twins on the thread! So happy to see everyone's good news from recent scans after all the sad news.

You must be so excited but gosh I'd also be terrified 😂

Shortcake06 · 05/07/2024 19:36

Wow @Kt1704 that is amazing!!!! So exciting 🥰

Ive loved seeing everyone’s scans. I have booked a private scan for when I will be 8+2. I have been enormously tired and vomited this morning. Can anyone advise if this is likely to be abdominal?

Still struggling to believe it could be real after two losses. I haven’t contacted the midwife or arranged anything like that as I am scared to jinx things. Didn’t think it would be this much of a struggle when it finally happened.

Oh my goodness, how you feeling? congratulations!!!😍

apple67cherry · 05/07/2024 19:42

8+4 today and have a scan for 9+4. Last scan I had was 6+5 and measuring 5.2mm and saw a little heartbeat.
Vomited once this morning after opening the spice cupboard lol and had a 2 hour nap this afternoon. Sore boobs haven't been sore at all though today! What's everyone else symptoms? I feel like I've got hardly any for how far long I am, hopefully I've just got off lightly!🙈

Kt1704 · 05/07/2024 19:45

@superj21 Awww thank you! I’m very bad with keeping up with this thread! My mind is going in circles we both didn’t sleep a wink last night! We had two loses this year so we’re thinking positive now blessed with two bubbas after loosing two! I hope and pray they stick 🙏🏼

@apple67cherry Thank you!! So many mixed emotions of course but so much happiness! We wanted two children so I suppose this will be perfect! I’m really suffering with extreme tiredness and nausea which is making me feel so deflated and sad. I cannot eat anything I cook or anything from home, im spending a fortune on take out food just to get something inside me! I’m working full time in retail running a store and struggling to get through my 9 hour shifts. I feel like a wimp really! The scan yesterday showed twins which I suppose I shouldn’t be so hard on myself as I now know I’m growing TWO ! 😂

elb1504 · 05/07/2024 20:58

@Kt1704 Ahh congratulations on twins! You definitely shouldn't be hard on yourself pregnancy is hard and even harder with 2!

@Bluebell91 Week 9 sickness hit me full on this week so I'm with you on feeling sorry for myself- slightly better today but one day this week I ended up taking a day off and pretty much sleeping all day!

UrbanSquirrel · 05/07/2024 21:25

Congratulations to @Kt1704 and @BusyTiger for those lovely scans - or should I say double congrats to @Kt1704?! 😂 No wonder you're feeling absolutely exhausted! So glad to hear all is going so well for both of you.

@ThisLimeDeer Thanks for the update! It's wonderful to hear that you could see something even so early, and I'm pleased to hear that the sonographer was good. Of course stay here - you're part of the club now 🤗

As @superj21 said, it's lovely to see all the photos. Keep them coming, and sharing your news.

@Roxttc How did you get on with your scan this evening? x

OP posts:
Roxttc · 05/07/2024 21:29

Scan went really well thank you was with window to the womb and was transvaginal slightly uncomfortable at points when looking for my ovaries but other than that fine.

Baby had a good heartbeat and measuring exactly 9 weeks which I am today, 23.2mm. Almost cried in there as feels so much more real now was a bit surreal seeing it!

We’ve still not told a soul but I’ve ordered a couple bits of Etsy this evening to tell both our mums next weekend ☺️

@Kt1704 Congratulations!! I’m not surprised you’re feeling rubbish don’t be hard on yourself body is doing a hell of a lot of work behind the scenes that’s how I view it!

Roxttc · 05/07/2024 21:33

@ThisLimeDeer @BusyTiger @Pepsix So glad to hear of your positive scan news too and also loving seeing some of the pictures x

UrbanSquirrel · 05/07/2024 21:37

Stunning scan pic @Roxttc! So pleased to hear it all went well. You and I are measuring exactly the same!

Roxttc · 05/07/2024 21:51

@UrbanSquirrel Just went back through and saw your pic I missed that, congrats glad your scan went well too! We won’t have anything now until whenever my NHS scan is. Got my booking appt on Tuesday so fingers crossed I can have it at 12-13 weeks

EastLondonCoffeeFiend · 05/07/2024 22:01

It’s so lovely to see all the scans! Congrats everyone x

Does anyone else suffer with sciatica? I've had it since early March, it gets better then gets worse then gets better, then worse. I can't drive or really sit down at the moment. Osteopath won't treat me in first trimester and said physio is unlikely to either even though I have an appointment with physio on Friday. Anyone else experienced this? I'm worried pregnancy will only make it worse. Being in pain all the time is very draining.

I've had it before I was pregnant, you poor thing. YouTube 'Bob and Brad Sciatica exercises' or 'athleanx sciatica'. Side sleep with a pillow between your legs, regular stretching does help.

Such a lovely scan pic 😍

Hopefully2ndtimemummy · 06/07/2024 08:10

So lovely to see all the scan pics and read the positive updates! Also so sorry to read those sad posts- it’s just so awful.

8 weeks- booking & scan is combined at 13 weeks-ish. Feels so long away. Have decided to pay for NIPT hopefully after 13 weeks.

have had lots of nausea previous two weeks but none this week and boobs less sore- anyone else? Feeling a bit worried

daschundmama · 06/07/2024 10:48

Hi all this is my first post, and first pregnancy. Currently 6+2 and have been having a fair bit of anxiety around symptoms coming and going day to day. Last few days I had terrible nausea and reflux, but today feels a bit better! Im still bloated and I have had sore boobs since the day of my BFP. Any reassurance around fluctuating nausea, am i just overthinking it? :) TIA

I’m a bit further along I think, but nausea and boob soreness has got slightly better for me over last few days too. Also made me a bit worried, but the nausea has still been coming & going, and I read that it’s not that unusual for these symptoms to ease around this time for some people. So hopefully all ok!

Thanks for replying @Teacherprebaby . I'm wondering if it's muscles spasms as well as sciatica because it feels tight too. I'm doing my stretches and will definitely look up that YT recommendation. Going for an early scan last week was so painful because I can't lie down properly! Thank you it's really been getting me down this week, combined with hormones I think!

@daschundmama I also have fluctuating symptoms I'm 8+1. Nausea a few days in the week but it comes and goes. I haven't been sick but I'm not a sicky person, only been sick twice since I was a child and both times alcohol related 🫣 mostly bloated and a bit constipated but on the whole they come and go too. It can be such an anxious time!

Daydreaming91 · 06/07/2024 12:04

Congratulations!
Im currently 7+2 and the nausea for me is on and off and I haven’t had any actual vomiting. I’ve not had many symptoms I’m just absolutely knackered all of the time and have had a bit of trapped wind/bloating.
Ive been massively overthinking every little pain/twinge but had my first scan yesterday and that has made me feel slightly better 😅 it’s completely normal to be worried it’s such a daunting time but try and enjoy it 😊

daschundmama · 06/07/2024 12:38

Thank you @Pepsix ! fingers crossed, im driving my poor partner mad with the constant worry something is wrong! 🤐

Redapple21 · 06/07/2024 15:24

Congratulations on all the lovely scans and thanks for sharing - so great to see!

Oh wow @Kt1704 the first set of twins! Hope you're feeling ok, can imagine a mix of being excited and nervous! Lovely to think of it as 2 lovely blessings as you say.

I had my booking appointment and she booked my scan for 13+2. I asked could I have it a week earlier as it seems far away but she said they always try to do it at 13 weeks rather than 12? Must depend on area. 9 weeks today so still a long wait ahead! Tempted to book a private scan.
