Hi everyone !
So glad to have found this thread. Just tested positive, I think due date from what I can tell will be 4th March.

@ChristmasJumpers I also had IVF, first time around so in total shock it’s happened naturally. DS is only 13 months so happened a bit sooner than planned for us! Knew I should have bought the double buggy to begin with 😂

EleMar · 02/07/2024 18:34

A. I'm telling everyone as and when I see them, as I don't want to necessarily have to make excuses about drinking but at the same time my social calendar is quite limited as I have been working non stop weekend included for like 5 weeks 🙄

B. No other children, had a miscarriage just before this pregnancy. Interesting the difference in terms of symptoms! Sore breast last time from week 4 but then symptoms disappeared at 6w and then then 10 days after I had a miscarriage. Breast is still fine now, but I am having some mild nausea already?! I'm only 4w3! And I know that line progression is not scientific at all, but my tests are getting darker way quicker than before. In both cases terrible acne however 👀

C. I'm 34.

Izzy98 · 02/07/2024 18:59

Tested on the 26th and instantly got a positive on a clear blue so I took about more tests just to be sure but all positive. But I can’t help but thinking it’s too good to be true. Can anyone tell me what they think about these tests? Also ignore the very top one that has the faintest of lines I took about 10 days before as I’m unsure on when I ovulated last month.

Going off my LMP my EDD is 5th March

@Izzy98 I would say they’re definitely positive. Congratulations :)

Nice to see lots of new joiners on here. The only symptom I have for now is feeling totally exhausting. So far I’ve told DH (who has told his MIL) and I’ve told my manager as it’s just easier that way.

I’ve also had my booking in appointment come through which was super fast. I’m not sure about scans. Last time we did an early one as I had some spotting. I’m tempted by a place nearby that does an early scan with blood test for gender as I’m very impatient!

Rach3190 · 02/07/2024 20:57

Good evening, I got my 1-2 on Clearblue earlier, due about 13th March.
Really nervous and don't want to actually get excited yet as only had a chemical pregnancy 4 weeks ago so everything has happened so quick.

Only husband knows so far. Will probably have to tell work as I'm a nurse and do a lot of moving and handling.

I have 4 other children, oldest is 17 and youngest is 7. Feel like I am starting over again

I am 34.

m00ngirl · 02/07/2024 21:13

Thanks to everyone updating with symptoms, v interesting to me and reassuring to hear from others who have done this before that symptoms come and go.

I'm having a private scan at 7+2 but I'm only 5+3 today so it feels like a lifetime away! And seeing a lot of people in the interim who know I've been trying and I'm going to have to somehow hide not drinking - I don't want anyone to know until 12w. Having tried for so long I thought the positive test would be instant happiness and of course it was but I realise now how a positive test also means 2 more months of waiting and seeing and hoping it actually works out.

Lovely to see new people getting positives, congrats! 🌺

Inlaw · 02/07/2024 22:22

I think 4 weeks 😱 Hope this seed is good and will stick about.

Got to ring the GP tomorrow as near zero folic about 6 months ago. I did have prescribed folic to boost it but want to get that tested to make sure there’s not a deficiency there still.

Fingers crossed. And congratulations all 🥳🥳🥳

Congratulations and welcome to all new joiners.

Then.ive got my first in person midwife appointment at 11 weeks.

That’s exciting @Zuzu2020!

I will probably book in after an early scan, which I still haven’t booked yet. Kind of in denial about it all still!

m00ngirl · 03/07/2024 10:25

I've had a 10 week appointment with midwife and a 12 week appointment come through for "fetal medicine" which I assume is the scan but the letter doesn't say?

Beth06 · 03/07/2024 10:25

Hi all hope everyone is well! I've got an early scan at epu this afternoon! Fingers crossed xx

mamacitas7 · 03/07/2024 13:04

I found out almost a week ago and I just have no excitement at all so far about this pregnancy, I feel a bit numb/emotionless tbh. I was elated when I found out I was pregnant with my first but I've barely thought about it this time round. It's not even because I'm worried something is going to happen like a MC. I just love our life as a 3 and being able to give my little boy our everything and more and being able to take him on holiday a few times a year and making lovely memories, I'm worried it's just not going to be the same with another one added in the mix. I was so on the fence about having another, and I just don't know if this is the right decision.

He's always been such an easy child too, always slept like a dream too that this is what I'm used to and I know I'd not be so lucky to get another one the same.

Melusina123 · 03/07/2024 14:04

I've finally done my referral for antenatal care. Going with the same place as I went for No 1. The EPAU there does a 7 week scan for previous miscarriage, so I'm going to try and get referred for that too, but if not I think I'll get one privately.

Symptoms wise I'm still just so tired and my boobs hurt a bit. No nausea to speak of but last time it hit bang on 6weeks, which is next Tuesday by my calculations.

Hi Ladies 👋

Got a very suprise bfp yesterday. Was not planning any more as this is baby number 5 and baby number 4 is only 11 months which was a very sick 9 months🙈

Very mixed emotions right now as it was a shock 🤣

Superscientist · 03/07/2024 16:45

Oh wow @NatalieSF I bet that was a shock!
The beauty of pregnancy is you have 9 months to get your head around it!
How old are you other children?

m00ngirl · 03/07/2024 18:27

How did you get on @Beth06

Thinking of you @cococabanaas it's a lot to take on board, but as someone from a big family myself I am sure that your lovely big family will settle in and you'll have so many wonderful times and memories to come ♥️

Well thank you! Everything is how it should be for 5 weeks but they've booked me for next week to check the heartbeat xx

@Superscientist definitely a shock. Dreading pregnancy the sickness is already killing me. 🤦‍♀️

I've got 2 of each my boys are 8 and nearly 12 and my girls are 10 and 1 this month (3 days apart).

pinkrose001 · 04/07/2024 08:56

Morning all - I went to the EPU yesterday for bloods and have to go back in 48 hours for more. Does anyone know how long the results take - am I likely to receive results same day Friday or do you think it would be Monday? I forgot to ask yesterday when I was there!

carnation2531 · 04/07/2024 16:16

Hiya, I have just tested pregnant for the first time after nearly 3 years of trying 😱 I'm so excited & scared. I'm getting quite a bit of cramping which feels like period cramps- I've read this is normal and just my uterus expanding 😳

I'm 4 wks today. Eek!

PeachMartin · 04/07/2024 16:34

Congratulations! I’m 4 weeks and also having quite a lot of period pain type cramping. Also can’t stop burping!

Natalie2705 · 04/07/2024 17:43

Hi all

Tentatively joining after a MMC at 9 weeks last September. I think I'm about 6 weeks but have a scan tomorrow so hoping to see something and confirm dates a bit.

Quite shocked at just how exhausted I am this early on and nausea starting everyday from about 2 until I go to sleep. Any one else? Worried that is going to get worse haha.

Hope everyone's doing well!
