Tested positive this morning at 9dpo.

Looking at a due date of 5/3/25

my first pregnancy - natural after 4 failed IVF transfers.

had a reassurance scan 1.5 weeks ago and it dated 5w5d. Saw a heartbeat.

have no symptoms or very few (tired - but it might just be the heat) - I know this is normal but I’m also trying to prepare myself mentally if anything should happen

going back on thurs for second scan but feeling super super anxious. Any tips would be hugely appreciated ❤️

I know it's illogical but I'm starting to get stressed my only symptoms are swollen boobs and a bit of fatigue.

With my first I was so ill from the get go with nausea and now I can't help but feel something is wrong 😭 I know every pregnancy is different but I'm just so tiny I expected me to be wiped out again this time around. Last time I told my boss at 5 weeks because I was feeling that bad I felt like I couldn't hide it.

I'm passed that and am just fine?

Symptoms ebb and flow pregnancies are different. I thought at first my sickness wasn't as bad as I was only nauseous and not sick. Then it got worse and I had 4 days off work. Then it all but disappeared for 2 days (yep that freaked me out). It's back now but not as bad. Yay and what if?

I got through the early days waiting for the sickness to arrive by creating a mental list of meals to treat myself with that I wouldn't get to eat when the nausea starts. It helped frame the lack of nausea in a more positive light.

That’s the thing with meds you never know and your always too scared to come off lol it does take a week to build in your system

Is anyone getting nosebleeds? I'm 5weeks 5days today and they have started but it was second trimester with my daughter so I'm curious if this is happening to anyone else so early?

I can’t say I have ever experienced nose bleeds but my sister has apparently it’s the extra flow of blood in your body

@gormlessgoldilocks I feel the same - also my second and I definitely have this niggling feeling that I should feel more pregnant somehow!

A slight nosebleed when I blew my nose was how I suspected I may get a BFP and I did a couple of days later. Yeah I think it is just all the extra blood flow.

I’ve been feeling a bit like this. Last time, with my son, I was so so sick, ot was horrific. I was throwing up so many times a day from about week 5 whereas I’m now week 8 (I think?) this time and altho I’m tired, I’ve not really felt rough at all… it’s weird.

I did about the same time as you but I'm on blood thinners so I assumed it would be more likely for me! X

After posting about feeling better, the sickness is back this evening along with a banging headache!

Oh no,I've started bleeding red with cramps 💔 can this ever end with a positive story?!

I'm the same, very mild symptoms every now and then I wonder if they're even related to pregnancy. I'm 7+3 and the only thing I've had today is a headache!

So sorry to hear this - honestly I can’t say, I’ve read both outcomes I’m sorry to say. EPU normally say are you changing your pad every hour? That’s when they get worried in my experience. Are your cramps painful? I had a big red bleed at 14 weeks very suddenly and all was fine, my baby boy is now 2.5. But it’s such a hard time and such an unknown. Sending you so much love and hope you’re not alone tonight xxxxx

I just wanted to say I was very unwell and full of symptoms weeks 5-8 then all of a sudden all symptoms disappeared. Today I'm 9w2 and they've still not came back but I had a private scan and baby's measuring perfect fine with strong healthy heartbeat. Remember every single pregnancy is different so yours now won't necessarily be the same as a previous pregnancy x

Just wanted to join if that's okay..first time being pregnant and due to irregular cycle and not knowing how many weeks I was
First scan - Pregnancy unknown location
Hcg every 48hrs was more than doubling
Second scan - gestational sac and yolk sac no embryo
Third scan - heartbeat detected😅🥰
4th scan - 7w5 baby measuring fine and on track
5th scan yesterday - 9w1 baby measuring fine and heard heartbeat for first time 177bpm!! Baby was wriggling like crazy kicking its leg too! We are overjoyed. Currently 9w2 EDD is 2/3/2025

Weeks 5-8 had crazy symptoms then all disappeared. Now I just have a headache and some constipation so feeling okay really. Sonographer said I must be one of the lucky ones who don't feel rough as hell in pregnancy 😂was so worried as it seems no one else has really had barely any symptoms but all is okay. Next scan is at 10w4 💕

I wasnt changing the pad hourly but it felt very much like the start of a heavy period, went to bed early as realistically there's nothing to see or that anyone can do to help me right now

Still bleeding but flow is much lighter than I would have expected, strong pregnancy test but unsure really when that would start to go lighter and cramping has almost stopped

Feeling very conflicted this morning, think I will call up for advice after the nursery run

I had the opposite to you and by 3 o clock I was feeling alright!

Calling for advice sounds a good plan. Hopefully it's nothing but they are the best people to make that decision

I was off sick with nausea and vomiting last week but this week is a lot more manageable. I hope it stays like this! I hope your symptoms stay ok too x

Yay, glad you’ve had reassurance that things are going well 😀 I haven’t got any more tests so can’t check anyway. I do have a 6 week scan booked for Monday so I guess I’ll know then either way how things are going

In my experience, the EPU will scan you even if you have a small amount of spotting (though not sure if it depends on how far along you are). So definitely worth giving them a call. Hope everything is okay.

Ahh they never told me about it having to build up! Fingers crossed over the last 2 days my sickness has really gone down, I'm hoping it's not a fluke 🤞
