Hi everyone,
I’m going to be leaving this thread now. Unfortunately my clearblue weeks indicator not increasing was a bad sign for me and I’m now losing the pregnancy. I have a wedding today in a foreign country which is awful - I don’t know how I’ll get through it 😣
I wish you all the best of Iuck and love with your pregnancies and babies 🙏🏼

So sorry to hear that @Boymum3722 - that is such a tough situation to be in 💕 be kind to yourself and take it easy if you can

I’m so sorry @Boymum3722 . Sending you heaps of love. Look after yourself. Hope you can get home soon.

So sorry to hear @Boymum3722. My lines haven't progressed either but no bleeding and still have pregnancy symptoms. It took us a long time to get this positive so part of me has been thinking "well at least this means we can get pregnant" and the other part is thinking about how long it took to get to this point. Hope you get an opportunity to rest up and spoil yourself soon xx

Melusina123 · 28/07/2024 06:29

FYI @Balloffluff123 for bleeding in pregnancy 111 will almost certainly get you to go to A&E, where you'll either be scanned or get booked to be scanned on Monday. Not disagreeing that it's good to call 111 (I'm a huge fan of 111) but having been around this a couple of times, I know that's what they do. :)

Sorry to hear you're spotting, it's very stressful but as a pp said, it's common if not "normal". The majority of pregnancies with spotting are completely fine. There's some chat about it upthread I think but iirc the statistic is that 12% of pregnancies with bleeding end in miscarriage, which means 88% continue!

@Melusina123 Thank you - that is very reassuring. I thought about calling 111 today but I agree with what you say and I know A+E has been crazy at the hospital this week so I will avoid at all costs! Unless something changes I think I will just wait and call GP first thing tomorrow.

Hi all hope everyone is doing well have been quiet due to nausea which I feel is improving having some good days

@MrsH1990 @Boymum3722 so sorry to hear the sad news wishing you a speedy recovery and all the best for the future ❤️❤️

@Beth06 have you been having nausea with the preventative treatment mine was working fine but then the nausea crept in I am wondering if a anti sickness swap over might help ? Have you tried this ?

I get nausea in the evenings but it's manageable definitely, what are you on now? Xx

m00ngirl · 28/07/2024 11:51

Does anyone have any advice please? I think i have food poisoning - ate a salad yesterday around 730pm from a (nice!) restaurant and have been sick all morning including diarrhoea and mild upper stomach cramp. My main worry is I can't keep water down and it's now almost midday. Im quite hot. I'm 9 weeks pregnant and staying with family who don't know I'm pregnant. Fucking nightmare. I have no idea what to do. Has anyone been through this? Can I ride it out? At what point should I call a doctor (and how the fuck do I hide that I'm pregnant in this situation from the family?! I know some would say just tell them but I really don't want to if I can avoid it). Don't think I'm fit to drive.

Sorry for selfish post and to see things not working out for a couple of ladies here. Hope everyone else is ok today.

You could always try changing the Prochlorperazine to Metaclopramide? Or to something else? I'd definitely keep taking the Ondansetron. I hope something works for you but there's many others you can try in combination with Ondansetron. Last time Ondansetron and Cyclizine worked well for me. Metaclopramide is working well for me this time xx

Oh sounds dreadful! You could ring 111 for advice?

Can you keep anything down? You could get an electrolyte sports drink (e.g. the original non-sparkling lucozade) which can help with dehydration (a stealthier alternative to oral rehydration salts). Or suck on ice cubes. If you're still weeing then I don't think you're severely dehydrated and maybe you could wait it out and hope you start to be able to keep water down but ianad so I'd suggest ringing 111 for advice. Obviously dehydration is not something to mess about with in pregnancy.

I will give that a go have also got a referral with hospital to try xoneva which I heard is great

Cariad90 · 29/07/2024 07:39

Still testing as 2-3 weeks at 5 weeks +2 😔 how are you getting on @CatmumTTC ?

I have a GP phone call scheduled for this morning to talk about getting aome
progesterone. Does anyone know if there’s anything they can do to test my hcg or check if it’s progressing normally? I wouldn’t mind paying for a private scan just to check it’s not ectopic but I don’t think they do those until 6 weeks

Xonvea is another first line medication similar to Cyclizine or promethazine because it's an antihistamine but it's combined with vitamin b6 too. It may work in combination with something else! I tried a similar combination of Cyclizine and b6 but didn't work for me. I hope it works for you! You don't know until you try do you xx

I've just jumped to 2-3 this morning at 5 weeks on the dot! Going to stop testing now as don't think they are very accurate and not worth the stress they cause! Also on another thread a poster told me about how they were showing 1-2 at 6 weeks and have a healthy LO from that pregnancy. So levels really do vary.

I am taking xonvea but I'm not actually sure it's helped me (I never felt less sick from it but it did stop getting any worse, so who knows!)

Hi, hope everyone is doing ok.

I’ve been for a scan today and thought I was 6+4 but scan is showing 5+2. Baby has a heartbeat though and everything else is looking as it should.

Trying not to worry about the measurements as from reading online can see that measurements at early scans can be inaccurate. But also I am worrying 🙈

I’ve registered with the midwife but haven’t spoken to them yet, hoping they will call next week and I can talk things through with them too.

I'm sure everything will be okay, congratulations on seeing the heartbeat so early 🥰
I thought I was 7/8 weeks when I had my private scan and baby measured 6+2.
That was 3.5 weeks ago and baby has measured 9+6 today, so only 2 days off from my first scan! I must have ovulated later than I thought

ChristmasJumpers · 29/07/2024 12:25

Beth06 · 26/07/2024 20:37

Generally brown blood is okay. I have a subchronic haematoma in my womb which may produce brown blood (hasn't yet) but the same happened with my son. The sonographer told me the implantation is quite forceful and the bleeding can stay there for a while, usually gets absorbed or bled out. I'm on blood thinners so that's why mine is quite big. Thinking of you hoping all is well xx

I've been for my scan at EPU today and all is fine. No sign of where the bleeding came from but we saw the heartbeat, got an estimation of 9+6 weeks, and I've got a posterior placenta! A refreshing change from my anterior placenta with DD 🥰

Yay exciting!! So pleased for you!!! I had an anterior one last time and it caused me so much anxiety! Glad yours is posterior xx

Hey!!

Congratulations😊 Due date twins! How are you doing? I've known since 3 +5 so it feels like it's going painfully slow for me!

Mrbay · 29/07/2024 13:40

Afternoon all.

Sorry for the recent worrying news, it really socks. Been through mcs myself and it's such a lonely worrying time.

Feeling concerned myself today as my morning sickness has pretty much gone. EPU have agreed to scan me next week, gonna be a worrying week.

How is everyone else feeling?

Superscientist · 29/07/2024 13:45

@Mrbay after 36h with no sickness mine has returned but not as intense as before and with periods of feeling ok in between the nausea and vomiting.
Slightly peeved off that I came into the office for a meeting that was cancelled.
Would have much rather I was at home where I wouldn't have had to make small talk over lunch whilst simultaneously trying not to hurl!
