Can I join? Got my BFP last Thursday at 14DPO, after trying for 8 months. Line came up straight away and quite dark which was reassuring. I'm 4+2 today so super early and just waiting to register with the midwives. No symptoms really other than a persistent headache for a few days, which I think was due to hormone changes (always happens when going on/coming off the pill) and slight nausea when hungry.

Does anyone have light lines still? Or when did your lines darken? I know it's still so early but worrying that there is no progression here. Really worried this will be a chemical or won't stick after a loss last time and struggling to conceive 😔 I did get a 1-2 weeks on clear blue but expected todays line to be darker. Do you think it's ok for 13 DPO?

Hey mine also started with thin lines however has considerably been getting darker. And I have read so many instances online where people got faint lines to start with but eventually got there. You might have ovulated much later than you thought? Probably worth taking Clearblue after a week?

SharingEasesWorries · 15/07/2024 16:54

How is everyone getting on? So far no major symptoms, apart from occasional tender breasts and feeling nauseated in the morning when I am on empty stomach (which I think I haven't much experienced before).

I still keep doing the cheap pregnancy tests however apart from that its pretty much the waiting game with keeping everything crossed 🤞

Inlaw · 15/07/2024 17:05

Yes! Got the anti sickness meds so fingers crossed they work 🙏

GPs been great but they are probably getting fed up of me. Haven’t even got a date for booking in with midwife yet but trying to get all my health ducks in a row through self booking.

Mines have always gone dark quicker with girls and slower with boys tend to get a solid line 16/17 DPO

Nausea has started with me at 4+3 🥹 so far I don't feel too bad but the thought of any food that isn't a bland carb turns my stomach 🤢 pretty much throwing up daily by 6 weeks last time so I'm not surprised 😂

NatalieSF · 15/07/2024 19:41

Nausea started for me from before I even found out 🙈
Its not as bad as my last pregnancy yet but its definitely there along with horrific heartburn. Trying to not show the symptoms round my other children as they'll definitely know lol

Mrbay · 15/07/2024 19:59

@hopefullyTTC2x I found the strips don't show great progression. I didn't see a difference until towards the end of week 4. Even now there isn't any difference every 48 hrs.

I got some cheap tests in my chemist and they have been great.

Amazon also do some manual week checking ones that are great.

I know the worry of a chemical, I've been through 2. I've got nothing useful to say as ita such a lonely, helpless feeling between the first positive and the first scan. Where possible do contact your local epu if you are worried as our ccg won't provide further support unless they confirm the pregnancy.

My nausea has subsided so I'm concerned mu scan on Thursday won't be positive, I've brought a digital weeks test just to prepare myself. I'm on additional progesterone so I feel really in limbo with symptom spotting.

m00ngirl · 15/07/2024 20:04

Hi ladies, I had an early scan today at 7w+2 - I can't tell you what a relief it is! I heard the heartbeat (phenomenal.. burst into tears!) and all looks ok. It's measuring as 6+2 but I know my period and ovulation dates exactly so think it might be a measurement thing? The consultant said it's nothing to worry about at all as it's still so small. I might get another scan in a few weeks before the 12w one if I start worrying, to check on growth.

The sickness has hit me!! I feel sick all day everyday at this point with brief relief after eating. I haven't actually vomited yet so think I'm being a bit pathetic to moan but I feel like dog shit. I work in a small office and feel like I have nowhere to hide! Also haven't told anyone or family yet so just suffering in silence / boring DH with it!

I'm definitely slower than usual, partly because feeling sick, but thankfully not exhausted. I'm doing a couple of hours walking a day and some swimming when I can.

However if anyone remembers my regretful post about buying skinny jeans when I found out I was pregnant in a moment of madness/optimism - I humbly returned them this weekend 🤪😅

@hopefullyTTC2x try not to worry, you're pregnant! I didn't get a solid dark line until about 17 DPO and read lots of ladies on here had the same. I know some get great lines at 10DPO etc but I had no hint of a positive until 14DPO.

Muffin101 · 15/07/2024 20:51

Aw how exciting @m00ngirl happy for you! I think we’re going to book an early scan too, having been ttc for almost 2.5 years, I still can’t really believe I’m actually pregnant so need confirmation!
I have yet to start vomming (I was puking constantly from week 5 with my son, which lasted all pregnancy!) but I am fucking exhausted alllll the time! I feel dead on my feet. Doesn’t help that my boy has a sickness bug at the moment so that’s just non-stop cleaning and running around and hoping against hope I don’t catch it too 🤦🏼‍♀️

Congrats on your scan, that must've been so lovely & reassuring! Was it an abdominal scan or internal? I've got a scan tomorrow at 7 weeks & really hoping to see a happy little bean in there!

I'm also with you on the nausea - I've not been sick at all either so know so many people have it worse but urgh, just feel rubbish all the time! Hoping for good news tomorrow to make it all feel more real! I had the exact same with my first pregnancy up until around 13 weeks then felt amazing again so hoping for that this time too! 🤣

m00ngirl · 15/07/2024 21:59

@Muffin101 how did you cope being sick for the whole pregnancy?! You poor thing! I hope you have an easier ride this time. HUGE respect for you looking after a little one (and with a bug!) during first trimester, and the other ladies here doing the same. I would be totally exhausted in your shoes.

@Oldshoe52 good luck for tomorrow! let us know how you get on? It was abdominal thankfully, she said before we started that if she couldn't see I'd have to go for a wee and have the transvag one but she found it quite quickly. Hearing the heartbeat was the best. After barely more than a week of sickness, I can't imagine dealing with this until week 13... my god... then again you have to hope it stops at some point unlike poor @Muffin101 having it whole pregnancy! Ahhhh!!

Muffin101 · 15/07/2024 22:22

@m00ngirl it was pretty rough, I don’t really know how I’ll cope if it happens again this time around, I’ll properly cramp my sons style having to dash off to throw up every five seconds instead of throwing myself into everything with him 🤣
good luck tomorrow @Oldshoe52 😊

llamabeans · 15/07/2024 22:48

Hi everyone! I found out last Wednesday at 2+5!! So, so early I know but I had some spotting which I thought could have been implantation so took a super sensitive test. I must have ovulated really early!

Currently only 3+3 so very anxious, especially as I have had a bit of spotting and cramping.

This will be pregnancy 3 but baby 4 as I had twins! Due 28th March but I assume this will get adjusted to be a little earlier at my dating scan.

Looking forward to catching up on the thread and getting to know everyone.

26dX · 16/07/2024 11:35

Hey, how is everyone ✨

Superscientist · 16/07/2024 11:59

On my way home from work ready to curl up in the sofa.
I have a midwife appointment on Thursday I was going to wait until then to enquire about antiemetics but I might have to reach out sooner

SharingEasesWorries · 16/07/2024 12:31

@ 5 + weeks (got 3+ weeks on clear blue digital yesterday), is anyone still testing with ofcourse the cheap ones? I still am and feel really silly sometime. However kind of is a feel good factor as well. Still pretty much the only assertion of being "pregnant"

gormlessgoldilocks · 16/07/2024 12:32

Hi all got my BFP today but very cautious as I had a chemical last month. Currently 4+2 with EDD of March 24!

This would be my second but as I said very cautious at the moment. Also feeling horrific. Completely run down!

Lulub94 · 16/07/2024 12:40

@26dX I am feeling positive today, I'm 5 weeks today and I am no pass the point I started bleeding with my chemical. I track my temperatures and my temp has stayed up for the last 2 weeks which is also a good sign (dropped last time before bleeding started). So all good. Going to book on Saturday for an early scan so that's the next point to get to. Having a few symptoms, sore boobs which I've had for a few weeks now, occasional nausea and some minor cramping.
How are you?

MOLWI · 16/07/2024 12:53

Had an early scan yesterday and saw a tiny bean and heartbeat! I’m 7 weeks today and been feeling so nauseous the last few days, already finding it so hard to work I just want to sleep! Wondering how soon I can ask for a doctors note and seem reasonable 🤣

26dX · 16/07/2024 13:03

@Lulub94 ah that's positive 🫶🏼 yeah I'm actually feeling okay just so tired 😂

@MOLWI oh so cute! I have mine booked for the 2nd of August I'll be 7+7!! X

I'm also 7 weeks today and by half 9 my line manager and HR both had told me to go home and rest. By half 11 I agreed with them.
If you feel like crap and are struggling to work it's not too early. Remember you can self certificate for 7 days and pregnancy illness has to be treated separately

Oldshoe52 · 16/07/2024 13:47

Hey gals - just had my early scan & feeling way more anxious, really wish I hadn't done it tbh.

I ended up getting an internal scan because the sonographer said my womb is tilted back so couldn't get the heartbeat on an abdominal scan, with the internal we saw little baba & a heartbeat which is amazing & such a relief, but the baby is measuring 6w3d instead of 7w. The sonographer wasn't concerned at all & said that everything looks great, but I just can't shake the really anxious feeling that something isn't right.

So badly wish I hadn't got the scan as was feeling good but now I'm just totally spiralling. I was hoping to feel reassured but totally the opposite 😔 sorry to vent here but don't have anyone else to chat to about it & away from DH at the moment.

Ahh @MOLWI I was just about to post and ask how everyone was coping with work. I'm exhausted, I was meant to go into the office yesterday but ended up wfh. We have a team outing on Thursday evening which I was really looking forward to, but seriously debating now. Unfortunately my manager is off for 2 weeks and his manager is also off this week, so I'm having to power through. Luckily I've not been sick, but the nausea is Envy

My main struggle is looking after my toddler though - my patience is wearing thin when she's messing around as I'm so tired and nauseous that I'm constantly snapping. I feel like a terrible mum.

26dX · 16/07/2024 14:30

@Kingofthetyrantlizards I feel the pain with also parenting a toddler, feel like my patience is thin at the minute when she's being cheeky and not going to sleep then when she's a sleep I feel so awful and like crying 🥲
