Sorry guys not been as active.
I feel so exhausted I always fall asleep when putting little one to sleep and then am up from 3/4am.

Nausea is getting bad too. Especially worse if I get too hungry but the thought of eating also makes me feel sick 😫.

Never had this with any of my previous pregnancies.

@Zuzu2020 well this is what I thought too, I'm just worried I'll panic even though I know I'll be measuring early! I just feel extra anxious. I've not even contacted the hospital yet. Normally I do it as soon as I get a positive test 😂 if I'm measuring say 10 weeks I assume they'll rescan?

jellyfish2 · 13/07/2024 20:08

@Zuzu2020 can I ask do you have pcos or anything? I'm just wondering why ovulation was so late for me when it never is.

Mrbay · 13/07/2024 20:09

I really hate the first 12 weeks, it's the only time that I start to feel safe.

Today I've noticed that my symptoms have eased, I am hoping for good news on Thursday.

I've been given progesterone this time around so 🤞🤞🤞🤞.

Ps mh username is my horse 😊

They rescanned me last time as I was measuring bang on 10 weeks. But I think some hospitals actually do the 12 week scan between 10 and 13 weeks.

I've not officially been told its pcos, but I've always had irregular periods like 2/3 a year. I remember having an internal scan when we were having all the fertility tests done and they said they look polycystic but they didn't actually diagnose it.

Late ovulation could be for a number of reasons though like stress and stuff.

Heyyyyy I am 5 weeks tomorrow, LO turns one in a couple weeks so it's a closer age gap than planned! So bloated, tummy pains (which I had with first pregnancy so not worried) but I did have a chemical before LO so still anxious about that
Congrats to everyone on this thread and sending luck to us all for a healthy pregnancy

Hi guys, what does it mean if a pregnancy test is a really skinny line? The 2 I’ve taken today seem a bit darker, but the line is slimmer! Does this mean anything? Over analysing everything…x

Top was yesterday’s and bottom 2 were today. The top one of todays was FMU and below was 11am ish. Is the progression looking good? Sorry to be stressing and posting an overload of tests 🙈

Hi all, tentatively making my place after a BFP yesterday although still light and only 12 DPO today. Trying not to worry about the possibility of it ending in a chemical or not sticking and just trying to take it a day at a time

hopefullyTTC2x · 14/07/2024 12:42

Also after recommendations for a good pregnancy tracking app please. I used Ovia with my first but doesn't seem to be the around now?

Congratulations..
I'm using the ovia pregnancy app. I think they got rid of the fertility one last year.
I've also got the babycentre one. Both seem decent.

I use pregnancy +, so many details and compares the size of your baby to fruits / animals etc 😂

Urgh nausea started for me yesterday, and I threw up this morning. Feels earlier than with my DS - this it started with him around 6 weeks, but I'm only 4+6 today. Had forgotten how grim this part is, very grateful that my husband is around this morning and was able to do the morning toddler shift whilst I stayed in bed feeling sorry for myself!

Oh god me too. Exact same. DS 6 - 16 weeks.

This time started at 4 and now in full swing.

I don’t think I can do this again knowing how long it lasts for me. I’m going to start a thread asking about the meds and whether I would meet the bar.

EleMar · 14/07/2024 13:44

Good afternoon :)

I had my first scan today at what I thought was 6w2 days, but it seems I'm a bit earlier than that. However we did see a heartbeat! So that's positive.

However the experience was most bizarre. I didn't have a period since my miscarriage in May, but I know when I ovulated (both ovulation test and ovusense (which tracks temperature internally overnight) confirmed the same date and we didn't even DTD after that until my positive test!). So I added two weeks to that for my LMP and calculating the gestational age. I explained that to the sonographer.

The sonographer insisted that the date of ovulation is irrelevant for calculating the gestational age, so I can't say I was around 6 weeks! She was saying something along the lines that I can't say when in the cycle I ovulated, as some women have longer / shorter cycles. Now I know that I can't confirm for sure when implantation occurred (though I can kind of pinpoint it given I had the faintest line at 9DPO) but I know when ovulation occurred, and fetal age is 38 weeks to birth (i.e. roughly 40 weeks gestational age). So I'm really confused about her point?!

Superscientist · 14/07/2024 15:57

It always feels really weird that at the start of pregnancy days are measured but then there's a 5 week window that is term at the end!

I guess part of it is historic it's a relatively recent thing that there has been the ability to track ovulation to the extent we can and all the methods of measuring are based on lmp. There's huge errors on measuring too a foetus at 11 weeks is 4.1 mm and at 12 weeks it's 5.4 mm. That's 0.2mm growth a day approximately and I think some times there is over interpretation of dates at dating scans it doesn't take much error in measurements for dates to not match ovulation dates. The dates on the scans with a +/- of 5 days! There is also variations in growth rates over the first few weeks. My sister had what turned out to be an unviable pregnancy it was only when she had a third scan between 6 and 8 weeks which still showed 6 weeks gestation that there was concern about it not growing.

Superscientist · 14/07/2024 16:05

Nausea is really hitting hard for me. It's kicking in 30-60 minutes after food and drink. For now it's not stopping me eating as it does pass in waves
I'm 6+5 and last time I was off sick with sickness at 7 weeks so I might be on the same trajectory. I have my booking appointment on Thursday I'm hoping to get through to that.

Hiya, congratulations! Has your HG already started? My GP are saying they won't give me Ondansetron yet but I'm going to speak to them again tomorrow. They changed me from Cyclizine and b6 to Metaclopramide and b6 but I'm so scared of it kicking in again. I've had nausea and been sick once xx

Irish812 · 14/07/2024 22:37

Not had one but sickness and have been scoffing like a pig I have had Ondansetron before was already on the system but in Luton they are trialing preventative treat for hg women haven’t had no side effects of the drugs besides sleep I will get nausea if I haven’t snacked for couple hours but the same as if you went about a busy day without eating and you can just feel a empty feeling I would certainly call and say it’s not working if your gp won’t listen you can pop into epu or a&e they will give you anti sickness iv and send you home with a prescription if the drugs and a pink part for your gp

It’s at that point that the drugs will be took in time to stop it spiralling from severe NVP to HG

I was just about to post and ask if anyone has had nausea so early, I'm 5 wks tomorrow and feeling sick when I have an empty stomach. I don't remember feeling this before 6 weeks at the earliest before! It's going to be a long 12 weeks 🙈

Sevillegarden · 15/07/2024 15:04

Tentatively joining after positive tests this morning and confirming with a CB digital.

EDD 23rd March. This will be my second baby. Happy to be here with you all!

hopefullyTTC2x · 15/07/2024 15:14

Does anyone have light lines still? Or when did your lines darken? I know it's still so early but worrying that there is no progression here. Really worried this will be a chemical or won't stick after a loss last time and struggling to conceive 😔 I did get a 1-2 weeks on clear blue but expected todays line to be darker. Do you think it's ok for 13 DPO?

Due March 2025
eatsleepworkchildcarerepeat · 15/07/2024 15:16

Tentatively joining too, I am 5+5 and hate waiting for booking in appointments and scans!
