@beth06 I'm 6 weeks 4 days. Not sure if I'm being dramatic or if it is really quite bad nausea

Last time I found the cyclizine the most effective when i took them as soon as I woke up and before lifting my head off the pillow. As soon as I sat up to take them the nausea hit full force and it was a lot harder to manage.

Izzy98 · 09/07/2024 08:51

I’m 6+1 and ever since I’ve found out I’ve had cramps which I know can be normal sometimes but it doesn’t stop the worrying as it’s everyday I’m getting these pains, has anyone else had them this much? Or is that not normal?

Anyone else really struggling with anxiety? Every little twinge I'm worrying and I'm waking up in the night (sometimes more than once) just with anxiety in my chest.

This morning was 3am and 5am, 5am I had a little pain in my pelvis on the right which is the ovary I ovulated from (fertility treatment which I how I know) and panicked I was having an ectopic pregnancy.

Objectively it's all a bit silly but it's really affecting me ☹️

I am feeling the same currently. Tested positive yesterday and 4 weeks today. I had a chemical pregnancy last month at 4+5, I thought I would feel excited getting another positive test but all I seem to be feeling at the moment is fear and anxiety that everything will be ok.
Just taking one step at a time and setting milestones of where to get to, my first one will be getting past 4+5....

Melusina123 · 09/07/2024 09:23

@Lulubump94 I had 2 MCs before my successful pregnancy and it really robbed me of a lot of the enjoyment of the successful pregnancy. This time I am trying to take a balanced view of accepting the risk of another miscarriage without letting it consume me. But tbh that is much easier with a toddler running around.

As I said on another thread though, if you spend your time worrying about a miscarriage then if you do have one you've suffered twice (and there's plenty of time for suffering after) and if you don't you've suffered for no reason. I'm trying to take that outlook.

Meanwhile I'm 6+0 today by my reckoning and the nausea is definitely starting to appear. I've done a request to the GP for cyclizine because I really have no interest in suffering like I did with my first. It wasn't even that bad, basically felt badly sea sick for 6 or so weeks but never threw up. But tbh there's no evidence that cyclizine does any harm whatsoever and I'm not keen on pointless suffering, especially with a toddler and a busy job.

Thank you, that is a good way to look at things. My first pregnancy was uncomplicated and ended in a normal delivery and my now 4 year old son, so I will try to focus on that rather than thinking of the more recent miscarriage.

Crazily, I'm hoping that nausea will appear soon, I've been feeling a bit off at times but nothing too bad.

Hope your GP will be able to prescribe you something to help with the nausea. I was the same with my son, was only ever sick once but had a constant feeling of nausea for quite a few weeks which was pretty awful at times.

SummerSun24 · 09/07/2024 12:26

@carnation2531 me! I'm glad obviously to have found out so soon but the excitement has soon turned to nerves. I'm only 3 w 3days I think going off ovulation and it just seems so long before I can take a breather. I remember first time round I spent week and weeks googling miscarriage risk against gestational age. Trying my best not to go down that rabbit hole again and hoping this group will keep me sane.

I was super sick last time and had GD and to be honest I'm ready and waiting for it so that at least I have something to remind me and assure me everything is ok in there!!

Melusina123 · 09/07/2024 12:37

@Lulub94 yes I feel I was quite lucky in not being seriously ill or for a very long time but it did grind me down just being constantly queasy and exhausted.

I've been prescribed cyclizine today without any querying or anything, super easy. In a previous pregnancy the GP gave it to me when I asked just in case I felt ill. Shocked by how parternalistic some GPs are about this. :/

Hi lovely, I’m 5+4 and have had period like cramps every day in the afternoon into the evening for the past 3 days. It’s really stressed me out but lots of googling has shown it’s vvvv normal and the uterus is a muscle so it’s just stretching and getting ready. I also had this with my baby boy (2.5 years) as I recorded it in fertility friend so trying to stay positive that it’s good and normal. It’s awful though, I feel like even my leggings are uncomfortable! Please try not to worry xxxx

carnation2531 · 09/07/2024 14:50

Anyone who has replied saying they are struggling with anxiety - I have found meditation and positive affirmations have helped, as well as forcing myself to stop googling everything. I've had a stern word with myself that worrying won't prevent something bad from happening but it's just taking my happiness away now.

Don't get me wrong I know I'll still have my moments but it has helped so far 🤞

Lulub94 · 09/07/2024 15:11

@carnation2531 not googling everything is definitely a good idea, although sometimes easier said than done 😂and the thought that worrying isn't going to prevent something bad happening is good too.

Hoping over the next few days I will start to feel a bit less anxious!

SummerSun24 · 09/07/2024 15:20

Thank you @carnation2531 what I wanted to hear! I'm trying very much to be happy and only worry when I need to. Positive thoughts only 😌

Hi, just making a thread for babies due March 2025...

Hello! Just recently found out I'm 2 weeks pregnant. Very early and scary due to having a miscarriage before this! But hoping this baby is going to stick🥰

m00ngirl · 09/07/2024 23:13

I bought skinny jeans the other day... no idea why... is this some sort of internal rebellion?! 🤪 I'm only 6+3 and jeans already feel really uncomfortable!

Warmest welcome to new joiners ♥️ hoping it sticks for all of us 🤞

SprinGarden · 10/07/2024 07:22

Hi... I m 5+5, just found out this weekend.. I ve been having cramps which is scary even though I know it can be totally normal.. I had previous 2 chemical pregnancies before my now 15month old. So I m petrified there won't be a baby there when they scan me! Which at the moment feels like ages away! Trying to not get too excited and keep my feet on the ground is tough!

TTC1990 · 10/07/2024 08:51

Hello! Please can I join? 11DPO today so 3 + 6. Does my test look promising for 11DPO? Tested positive at 9 DPO with a faint line, and it has got darker! Don’t want to be getting ahead of myself though…it’s taken 7 active cycles to conceive.

Second baby for me, but the anxiety is still just as high as the first!

Congrats to all those positives!! Xx

Due March 2025
26dX · 10/07/2024 08:56

@TTC1990 congratulations! My second too and I feel more anxious this time round Xx

TTC1990 · 10/07/2024 08:58

@26dX ah congrats! I hate to wish time away but I just will feel so much better after a scan. Off on holiday Friday so hoping that takes my mind off it! How far along are you? X

26dX · 10/07/2024 09:06

@TTC1990 4+4! I have a scan booked for 7 weeks, just a waiting game 🫠 I don't feel sick or anything like I did with my DD, I know all pregnancies can be different just trying not to worry x

TTC1990 · 10/07/2024 09:10

@26dX I zero sickness with my first and all was fine!! I’m just looking at booking a scan now…OH wants to wait until 12 weeks but I just can’t! Keep us posted! Xx

26dX · 10/07/2024 09:11

@TTC1990 I think for peace of mind it's worth it (my excuse) 😂 enjoy your holiday! X

Melusina123 · 10/07/2024 11:02

@m00ngirl skinny jeans, good heavens. 😂I'm already back in my pregnancy uniform of shapeless dresses with loose leggings underneath. Can't tolerate the slightest hint of a waistband atm.bBut I like your style!

I have a scan booked for next Friday when I'll be 7+3 by my reckoning. It'll be good to see what's going on - after having a MMC my attitude to scans is not so much about reassurance as it is about knowing in a timely fashion if the MMC has happened again. But EPAU were very quick once I figured out I could refer myself even though they say GP referral only.

Today I feel SO TIRED. I've barely managed to get any work done, I just want to lie down and go to sleep. The nausea is no fun but the fatigue is next level. Supposed to be work drinks tonight but I've already queued up the Sick Baby excuse (my boddler is always sick with something) so I can bow out.

bouncingblob · 10/07/2024 12:04

Still just the fatigue for me at 5+2. Boobs are maybe a bit bigger though!

After the MMC I am trying to stay positive. My OH simply can't get excited though, it hit him so hard. He won't engage in any baby talk at all until a successful 12 week scan.

26dX · 10/07/2024 14:21

How's everyone getting on? 🥰

msbrightside2 · 10/07/2024 14:55

So tired today at 6+0 weeks. Feeling a bit queasy this afternoon too. How are you doing @26dX?

I had an early scan at the hospital yesterday due to my previous ectopic pregnancy. To my huge relief I got to see my tiny baby in the correct place and see the heart beat ❤
