I have just tested positive today with a due date of 2 February. Have had a look and I can't see that anyone else has started a group for Feb yet. Is there anyone else out there who would like to join?

@mumofone1809 congratulations! That is a very dark line! Could be that you are further along? But that is surely confusing based on your last missed period. My last period was May 25th and my line when I tested on Saturday was quite dark - though not as dark as yours!

LoveYouHoneybear · 25/06/2024 15:38

@mumofone1809 ... do twins run in your family by any chance? 😂

@LoveYouHoneybear thank you!! Congratulations to you also, does that make your due date around the 28th of Feb? That’s what mine is saying at the moment!

😳😳twins do run in my family yes, well there have been in every generation but my one (6 siblings and each only had 1 baby per pregnancy) twins hadn’t even entered my mind!!!

After an incredibly scary morning with very heavy bleeding (and clots) after a couple of days of spotting, I have been to the EPU and been diagnosed with cervical erosion. It's a relief to know that is the likely cause but waiting on blood results to confirm all is definitely okay HCG wise. I hadn't heard of it before! Has anyone else experienced this?

mumofone1809 · 25/06/2024 16:20

@Tulipwood could I please be added to the WhatsApp group? :)

Gosh no I haven't, but we'll done on getting it checked out pronto. That must have been very scary for you, and I'm glad to hear they were able to (mostly) put your mind at rest. Fingers crossed that the further investigations rule out other issues. Does that have any impact on delivery further down the line?

retrievermum · 25/06/2024 18:29

Caved and went for a reassurance scan this evening after work (my husbands idea, after his performance about me wanting to move it!). Baby measuring 8 weeks exactly (which is where I expected to be based on my NHS scan) and saw the heart beat again which was a relief. She had a little look to see if she could find a reason for the spotting and said she couldn’t see anything so it was probably just old blood from when baby implanted, but that hadn’t come out!

Oh that's great news @retrievermum - really happy that all was ticking along nicely x

LS888 · 25/06/2024 19:33

@ali00x i also have cervical erosion and I wonder if some of my spotting is due to that too. I had an early scan at 5/6 weeks and they saw a little bleed next to the sac and to expect more spotting until it had gone. With my first I had a bleed at around 30 weeks and they said it because of my cervix and it was nothing to worry about and didn’t effect delivery or anything.

I know the pregnancy info is always about constipation but is anyone having the opposite problem? Ive been to the loo so much today, not sure if I've got a bug, or it's because I've changed my vitamins, or it's a sign of something worse.

T0r11210 · 25/06/2024 21:07

@mumofone1809 congrats!! Very strong lines. If 3+ weeks came up last week then I’d say you’re at least 6 weeks now. Could the last period have been IB?

LoveYouHoneybear · 25/06/2024 21:25

@mumofone1809 yes estimated due date is Feb 28th for me! So I may have a March babe. My other two babies came a bit early, so who knows. My pal just had her third... and he was her only overdue baby! So a high probability I will have a March babe. My birthday is March 4 so it would be a lovely present.

Are you going to get an early scan to see what your dates are/how many babies you have in there? lol.

I had several days of one followed by several days of the other. It's been fun 🙃 Things have calmed down a bit this week though x

NorthernMammy · 25/06/2024 21:30

That's encouraging @UrbanSquirrel thanks! Hopefully it'll shift.

UrbanSquirrel · 25/06/2024 21:32

General question, Team February - I've noticed we're getting closer to the 1,000 posts mark.
Does that mean we need to start a new thread ready for when this one fills up? Perhaps those wiser in the ways of Mumsnet will know the answer to this...

SBelfast · 25/06/2024 22:04

Hi all! Thanks @PuddleJump for pointing me in the direction of this group. I'm 7 weeks, massively anxious and having some pain. Posted for the first time on this forum (first pregnancy) about an hour ago and so glad I did as lots of helpful comments!
I've seen a few people talking about private scans for reassurance. If you go private for a scan does that interfere with the NHS self referrals?

Ah, glad to see you found your way here from the link I posted on your other thread!

Having a private scan has no impact on NHS self referral. Just register with your GP or maternity unit and they do the rest of the official NHS stuff. If you fancy getting an early scan before the 12 weeks privately, then you can do that off your own back. But just remember that generally speaking you need two weeks clear between scans (unless there's a problem).

Welcome! 🤗

Hi everyone I hope you don't mind me jumping on I'm currently 4+4 so I worked out a due date of 27 February.

This will be my 4th pregnancy but I just have the one little boy who is 3 years old 💙

I look forward to making some friends and hopefully easing my anxiety

Welcome @ButterflyWings13! We are all in the same boat here so I hope you'll find lots of support and comfort.

Just to flag with you and @SBelfast there is also a Facebook group (you might need to scroll down a bit to find the link) and / or a WhatsApp group (DM @Tulipwood to be added to that).

Thank-you so much for referring me, sorry I got the names confused! Also thanks for that helpful advice:)

@T0r11210 thank you!!
I suppose it could well be, it’s only now putting dads together/seeing this thread and other results and due dates that made me second guess. With my first, I fell pregnant and then still had my first period as usual, so could be another coincidence. Isn’t pregnancy such a minefield?😂

@LoveYouHoneybear
How exciting! Always a guessing game! Last time I went into labour onto my due date and had my little girl the following day.

How were your previous pregnancies? I had terrible sickness all throughout but so far have nothing, tho I’m sure it started around 6 weeks before🙈

I may have to, or I may just wait to see how big my belly gets before an official 12 week scan to see if I can gauge it that way😂😂😂will you be having any early scans?
