I have just tested positive today with a due date of 2 February. Have had a look and I can't see that anyone else has started a group for Feb yet. Is there anyone else out there who would like to join?

Only 5+1 here… time going soooo slowly.

I also have barely any symptoms. Had some insomnia and bloating last week but feel basically completely normal today. I keep trying to reassure myself that this was also the same when I was pregnant with my DS too though so maybe I should just count myself lucky.

Im trying to hold until 8 weeks for my first scan - looking at booking for 12 July.

What pregnancy supplements is everyone taking? Still using my pregnacare conception tablets at mo but wondering if should switch to their pregnancy ones with omega 3 too.

I am taking the pregnacare max and really like them - they do make your wee highlighter yellow though 😂They are often part of a deal in boots ect.

Lidlisthebusiness · 24/06/2024 13:42

I'm only taking folic acid and vit d at the moment. I can't remember what I've done before, it all seems new again!

CarrotySnack · 24/06/2024 13:49

@superj21 I wonder if it might be worth just trying a more robust running bra? My Shock Absorber Ultimate Run is managing ok so far although admittedly I'm not too sore. That said, it's such a popular bra it might be the one you already have, in which case this definitely won't be helpful advice!
(Fwiw, if you don't have one, they're often in a sale somewhere however the sizing on this particular model is very weird so beware if buying online - you generally need to go up 2 band sizes and down at least a cup size or more. So I'm a 30D and my Shock Absorber bra is a 34A!).

Urggh nausea is hitting me hard today!

I’m taking Vegetology Pregnacare which has folate and a few other things in, and often Omega 3 pills (without Vitamin A!) because I’m vegetarian so think that’s best for me personally. Confirmed safe for pregnancy with the company, but want my midwife to check too. My husband thinks I should take iron and b12 as well, but going to wait for blood tests to confirm any deficiency first before loading on more!

superj21 · 24/06/2024 14:35

@elb1504 yeah my pace is way slower than usual and I have had some moments where I've been worried I might throw up whilst running but I'm trying to make myself keep going. Slow and steady 🙂 hopefully the nausea eases off a bit soon. 5.5 weeks til the second trimester (😱!).

@CarrotySnack thanks for this intel! I do not have one, I usually wear the lightest support and only have one higher support one from Sloggi, so I'll definitely look into the shock absorber!

Been under the EPU for weeks now after being classes as having a PUL after the longest 2 week wait ever I finally seen baby and the heart beat.

There were tears of happiness and they kindly gave me a print out as my partner could not attend the appointment.

I'm a fertility unit patient, so I'm quite lucky and get another scan next week x

Unfortunately went today and they couldn't detect a heartbeat 😭

Literally feel like my world has came crashing round me from being on cloud 9 five little days ago.

I gave to go be scanned at the EPU. But from my fertility nurses reaction and hugs, I'm not holding out for good news 💔

LilacSnail · 24/06/2024 14:58

@CJHR18 I’m so sorry to see your update. When will your scan at the EPU be? Sending you hugs xx

Thanks everyone. I'm just so heartbroken. I've tried and waited so long for this moment. I genuinely don't think I'll ever get over it.

My appointment with EPU is tomorrow morning xx

@CJHR18 I'm so sorry to hear that news. What an awful shock for you. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for you, but I'm also sending you very big virtual hugs. Good luck for tomorrow morning, and do let us know how it goes. In the meantime, thinking of you and wishing you all the best.

CJHR18 · 24/06/2024 17:31

Thank you for your kindness everyone 🩷

UrbanSquirrel · 24/06/2024 17:31

With regard to the tablets discussion, I'm on Pregnacare Original with Omega 3, which will hopefully cover all the bases I need to. I've got my booking appointment on Thursday, so I'm going to check to see whether the midwife thinks I need anything else.

I've been feeling the very faintest glimmerings of nausea today, which I suppose is payback for having thought I'd got away with it completely. It's not really strong enough to do anything but put me in a bad mood - and annoyingly it struck just as I'd bought a Wispa Gold, which is a pain, because I no longer fancy eating chocolate, and I just know it's going to end up melting in this ghastly heat. Grrr. Hopefully, since it's the dreaded Week 8 (which is meant to be the worst for symptoms, I've read?), it'll be over again soon.

Huge admiration to those bravely coping with proper nausea. You are magnificent troopers.

Shortcake06 · 24/06/2024 18:34

@CJHR18 I’m so very sorry. Lots of hugs your way xx

@CJHR18 I'm so sorry you've had such an awful day, really hope you get better news tomorrow 🙏🏼 sending love to you.

Redapple21 · 24/06/2024 20:33

I also have a lot of bloat already and am starting to feel self conscious at work. Floaty clothes all the way!

retrievermum · 24/06/2024 20:45

@CJHR18 hope you’re being kind to yourself today. Fingers crossed for good news tomorrow; sending so much luck and so many virtual hugs

retrievermum · 24/06/2024 20:46

Anyone who’s had spotting (not including implantation bleeding!), what was it like? I had the tiniest whisper of brown spotting last night and a little bit more today. I’ve read about a million threads and it seems this can go either way. Worried but trying to remember there’s nothing I can do either way, so just holding out for now. Still, feeling quite deflated after seeing the heartbeat last week.

LS888 · 24/06/2024 20:50

I’ve had spotting this time. Which only happens when wiping, isn’t enough to go on my underwear or a pad. I had an early scan 2 weeks ago because of it and they said they could see a little bit of blood behind the sack and to expect some more spotting- which I’ve had. It’s hard not to worry every time I see it. Just remember for every negative story there is also a positive one. Spotting it so common in the early days.

think I’m going to have another private scan in two weeks just to check. It’s such an anxious time isn’t it. But I’m trying to stay positive.

elb1504 · 24/06/2024 21:02

@CJHR18 So sorry to read this, hope you're looking after yourself this evening and sending all the positivity for tomorrow.
