I have just tested positive today with a due date of 2 February. Have had a look and I can't see that anyone else has started a group for Feb yet. Is there anyone else out there who would like to join?

@UrbanSquirrel I'm knackered! Trying to be productive but could just lie there all day staring into space. How are you feeling?

SJLOU · 23/06/2024 12:54

@UrbanSquirrel the nausea is real now 🤢 getting worse everyday! When I eat, it tends to help but then within an hour or 2 I’m feeling sick again! And soo drained. And emotional. Also really sensitive to smells now. Send help 😂. I just keep reminding myself though that these symptoms are reassuring reminders that I’m growing a little baby in there 🥰. I have an early scan booked for this time next Sunday which is exciting!! I will be 7+3 by that point, so hopefully a little bean will be seen 😁. Hope you are doing ok 🤗 x

Missingcoffee22 · 23/06/2024 12:56

@UrbanSquirrel the weather is making looking after my 2 kids a lot easier! We are spending a lot of time in the front and back garden. I'm not feeling uber pregnant but I am super tired and also have this underlying stress about childcare options that stops my mind from ever really resting...

How are you?

UrbanSquirrel · 23/06/2024 13:08

@retrievermum Oh no! And to feel sick at the thought of coffee, of all things 😱 Did your friend give any sign that she'd figured it out or is she keeping quiet for now? Hope things calm down for you later today and into tomorrow 🤗

@susie1984234 Feeling knackered is definitely a thing! Don't be too hard on yourself: trying to do anything productive on a Sunday is pretty much a lost cause, in my opinion 😉

@SJLOU You poor thing - it sounds like quite an onslaught. Could your GP recommend any anti sickness tablets if it's having such a debilitating impact? So exciting about the scan next week! Do share your pic with us (if you feel comfortable doing so!). Not long to wait now 🤗

I'm doing well. Still sore breasts but I seem to have evaded most of the other symptoms for now - apart from the knackeredness! I definitely notice when I try to do too much, and have to go have a sit down. Have also just discovered Our Flag Means Death, which I've been happily binge watching in my downtime over the last few days.

UrbanSquirrel · 23/06/2024 13:10

@Missingcoffee22 Oh it's lovely weather isn't it? I think my husband might have to go down to the shop for some Magnums later 😉 Do you mean you're already thinking ahead about nursery options for the baby? Heavens, should I be starting to think about that already? 😧

retrievermum · 23/06/2024 13:18

@UrbanSquirrel she just gave me “the look” (same one she gave me when I was early pregnant with DD, and the same one I gave her when she was pregnant with her son 😂). I’m just waiting on a message later where she asks!

Glad you’re doing okay! My boobs were agony with DD and I found wearing a sports bra at all times helped - I think squashing them down meant they couldn’t move at all so less likely to hurt!

To an extent yes, it is worth thinking before baby is born - wait lists can br a year long. But actually it's that we have to make changes from September for my 2nd and I want to do something that works for the 3rd as well so it's all a bit complex

LoveYouHoneybear · 23/06/2024 13:54

Thanks for the warm welcome! I was a lurker on MN due date threads for my previous two babies, but felt compelled to join for this pregnancy as I am feeling a tad alone and scared at the prospect of a third child. Don't get me wrong- also excited. But yeah, it's complicated lol. @Missingcoffee22 how old will your children be when the baby comes?

LoveYouHoneybear · 23/06/2024 13:58

I'm in Western Canada btw, so be prepared for strange timestamps! We lived in the UK for many years but moved back to Canada a couple years ago!

Lidlisthebusiness · 23/06/2024 13:59

@UrbanSquirrel I'm feeling alright, I don't have many symptoms, sore boob's is it really, but I'm still only 5 weeks tomorrow. I can't say whether I'm tired because of pregnancy, or because I already have 5 children, 2 who don't sleep much.....who knows!

Today is actually when I was due to come on, so I feel a bit like I'm watching out for a period at every twinge. I found out far too early!

somethingabouther · 23/06/2024 14:04

Just popping on as I haven’t posted since I tentatively joined at the start of the week when I got my v faint positive at 9DPO but I’ve since had it confirmed on a digital and self-referred to the midwife so it feels more real now!

I can’t seem to find them now but thank you for the kind replies the other day when I said I felt really anxious after finding out, I feel so much better already, I think I was just in shock even though baby is very much wanted! Looking forwards to following everyone’s journeys!

when is everyone booking in early/private scans? I’m hoping to book one in a few weeks so we can tell close family with a scan photo (if all goes well!) as we have plans to see them in person but I’ll only be 8 weeks, is this an ok time to go?

5 and 3 so this is a bit of a bigger age gap. How about yours? I feel similarly about it!

LoveYouHoneybear · 23/06/2024 14:12

@Missingcoffee22 my girls will be almost 4 and 27 months when the baby comes. Quite small gaps! There are 20 months between my eldest two, I actually found that age gap quite straightforward as my eldest still napped when the baby came. They are thick as thieves and I think they would love having a baby in the mix... although I still worry I am rocking the boat by adding another personality.

LoveYouHoneybear · 23/06/2024 14:14

@somethingabouther Congrats! Glad the anxiety is lifting for you, hoping it lifts for me soon too :). Your username- are you another Vanderpump Rules fan by any chance? Trashy reality TV is my kryptonite.

Missingcoffee22 · 23/06/2024 14:43

@LoveYouHoneybear my first two are 2 years 4 months apart and this will be 3 years 1/2 months. They do get on super well, and we did think that if we had a 3rd we'd go for a similar age gap so this was probably as wide as we'd go... hoping they'll enjoy a baby but mostly very concerned we've made a huge mistake at the moment...

somethingabouther · 23/06/2024 17:25

@LoveYouHoneybear thank you! I hope it gets better for you soon too, still have the odd moment when I’m anxious but it’s definitely better each day

Ha yes! I’m a big vanderpump rules fan, I was watching the reunion when I signed up 😂

Mamma364747 · 23/06/2024 17:58

I've spent the whole day feeling exhausted and quite nauseous too. I don't know how I'm going to cope with school run all of next week.

Poor you! Could your partner / a grandparent pick up some of the school run to help you out? Sending big hugs and hope you get some of your spark back soon x

Thank you for the sympathy! Partner's working hours make it a bit tricky, and I'm a sahm so I really ought to get on with it. No support otherwise. It's always a bit rushed in the mornings. I prefer weekends when I can just lay out some food for DS and go have a lie down!

I have our early scan in a week so there's that to look forward to.

Hello!
I hope you are all surviving this crazy early pregnancy stuff. Such a mental rollercoaster.
I have stopped doing tests now as I had “dye stealers” on FRER and wondfo and have finally realised there’s no point any more!
however having a slight freak out today as my boobs have been less sore than they were before and I’m scared it means something is wrong 😭

i wrote about this exact same thing this morning and lovely people replied that it’s common with fluctuating hormones and low and behold this evening, boobs are sore again!

Missingcoffee22 · 23/06/2024 07:25

It does seem to be quite common for symptoms to at least lessen! I felt the worst around my BFP for sure and have felt much less pregnant since

Thank you for your reassurance. It all just comes and goes and early days are the most worrying!

I’ve just requested a call from my GP on their online system, so hopefully they get back to me tomorrow and can provide me with something to help. Just worried it’s going to start effecting my work, but luckily I’m only in the office a couple of days a week and WFH the rest! Not prepared to tell my manager just yet unless I really have to 😬. Aw yes I’ll definitely share the scan pic ☺️! Thanks for the reply and sympathy 🤗 x

Don't worry. I had the same yesterday but now they really hurt again. They just took a day off 😂

Hopefully2ndtimemummy · 23/06/2024 22:24

Great to have so much chat in this group! The bloat officially started yesterday…going to have to get very creative with clothes for work. I’m roughly 6 weeks so don’t want anyone to find out yet (hopefully all will be well!)
