@User491 congrats! How lovely 1 of each!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Glad your on the mend. Sepsis is so dangerous and UTIs are so sneaky in pregnancy as symptoms can be disguised by normal pregnancy symptoms especially with twins!

@AnonymousXXIX yay on getting half a syringe. I have 2mls now. I am trying at night time as that is when Prolacton is highest I am having better results so so early morning if I am unable to sleep.

I had my 38week growth scan and baby is average aize now 6lbs 11oz and on my growth chart at the 20th centile. So unexpected as DS1 was 6lbs at birth and was 4th centile at 38weeks.
Got my iron levels checked again today should get reaults next week.

Midwife said watch out for full moon and Thunder storms as babiea arriving that time is very common. She said she beloeves it from what she has experienced so hmmmmmm. Full moon is 21st and I will be 40weeks 22nd!!!!!

MixedCouple2 · 09/07/2024 18:19

I can't remember who recommended the baby bouncer from smyths as a dupe for the Baby Björn but thank you!!!!! I love it. So compact and easy to wash and fold down. I love it. Thank you 🥰

I feel i am done nesting. All batch cooking done. And freezer stocked with easy quick meal staples. House overly clean! New furnishings and everything washed. New car and seat added. So I am ready when baby is ready!!!!!!

Cattattack · 09/07/2024 18:48

Oh my goodness! Come back to find so many new little ones joining the world! Congratulations all you lovely new mamas ❤wishing you guys all the best!

SapphireSeptember · 09/07/2024 19:37

@Nocoffeenotalkie Oh bugger, that's not good.

Good luck @wannabe123 Hope all goes well.

@MixedCouple2 That's interesting about the full moon. I'd be happy with baby arriving then. 😊

Not much going on here, I'm feeling very tired today and I've got a cold. Still haven't finished packing properly, all my bigger clothes are in the wash! So I've been doing washing today. I went overboard with the snacks yesterday when I went to Sainsbury's. At least it's all things that will keep a long time. 😊

wannabe123 · 09/07/2024 19:53

@SapphireSeptember I thought I'd gone overboard on snacks but husband has just left and is calling in at the shops to get more snacks for tomorrow.
Thank you for the well wishes. Not much to report. Going to watch a film and bounce on the birthing ball and then try and get some sleep I think!

SapphireSeptember · 09/07/2024 21:37

@wannabe123 Well, I bought 10 boxes of cereal bars (although some are more like cake) four bags of haribo, (with more in the cupboard) and six bags of savoury snacks that aren't just crisps(pretzels, tortilla chips and cracker crisps)! Hopefully that'll last me a while. 🤣 I also bought other things yesterday that are for me to eat while I'm at home, don't think cheese is going to last in my suitcase! Damn nectar prices. So alluring. I've also thought about getting a couple of big bottles of fizzy water as I find that much nicer to drink at room temperature than plain water. Hopefully it'll all fit in my suitcase! I need to decide what baby clothes to take as well. As I think he's going to be a chubby little boy I don't think newborn stuff is going to work.
I also still need to get a few bits, changing mats, one for travel and one for home, a baby carrier and some more maternity pads and those disposable knickers.

AnonymousXXIX · 09/07/2024 21:46

@MixedCouple2 hehe that was me, so pleased!

Got a whole syringe of colostrum just on one side today!

I don't believe in any of the full moon stuff, but weekend of 21st would suit me fine to get the baby out so fingers crossed this midwife is right!

wannabe123 · 09/07/2024 21:58

@SapphireSeptember you're definitely prepared!
A lot of supermarkets do 0-1 month clothes which are great for the first few weeks with a chunky baby 😊

SapphireSeptember · 09/07/2024 22:19

@wannabe123 I don't feel prepared! Just hauled my suitcase out of the cupboard under the stairs (where it lives next to the communal washing machine.) It got a bit stuck. At least it's in my flat now. 😁
I need to clean said flat, but I hate cleaning, especially when I'm knackered and feeling poorly. I'm hoping I'll feel better once it's done! But I hate the idea of leaving it, plus it'll be harder to clean with a baby in the house.
I've got a few bits that are 0-3 months so hoping they'll do. 😊
Enjoy your evening! I don't have a bouncy ball to sit on, sounds like fun. 😁

Jess725 · 09/07/2024 22:40

@Nocoffeenotalkie are crocs not recommended, I’ve never had any before 😂 sorry your feet are suffering, swelling is not fair! However it sounds like you’re progressing 🤞wishing you a smooth night

@AnonymousXXIX yay to colostrum ❤️

@wannabe123 I hope all is going well for you tonight, glad it’s nice and quiet for you! Hope
you can get some sleep before things progress ☺️

I am now thinking of yummy things to add to the snack bag 😂
40+1 and not much to report. Two nights of cramping, one quite intense. But no progression🙃 she’s comfy!

SapphireSeptember · 10/07/2024 00:34

I've had a burst of energy and decided to clean the bathroom. Just got the toilet and shower trap to do, and mopping the floor. I put toilet cleaner down both and I'm leaving it to sit. Who invented shower traps? They're an absolute bastard to clean! I now use toilet cleaner and the toilet brush on it and it works to stop it from being stinky.

I can't stop sneezing either! Bloody cold. 😒

Nocoffeenotalkie · 10/07/2024 07:15

@Jess725 usually crocs are great to slip on and go but my feet have swollen so much I can't get my foot fully into the shoe now. I'd definitely try them in case they fit you though as they're so easy to wear.

missmoosh · 10/07/2024 10:05

@SapphireSeptember why have I never thought of that tactic to cleaning the shower trap! Ingenious!

@wannabe123 hope all is going well and you are progressing nicely! Looking forward to your update! 10 more days until my induction! Eeek!

SapphireSeptember · 10/07/2024 10:30

@missmoosh Thank you! It occurred to me a little while ago, saves me sticking my hand down there which makes me feel sick (even with rubber gloves on.)

Good luck with your induction! 💐

Cherubs4 · 10/07/2024 13:36

Baby Valentine was born this morning at 1056 💙 via cs after a very long labour where he failed to descend into my pelvis - turns out he was 11pounds 7 ounces (5.27 kg)!!!! So wouldn't fit! Absolutely massive boy but so over the moon to have him safely here. Hope everyone else is doing well today

MyNameIsBatty · 10/07/2024 13:54

Ah massive congratulations @Cherubs4!! No newborn clothes for him 😂was he predicted to be larger?

missmoosh · 10/07/2024 14:07

@Cherubs4 wowza that is a big baby! Congratulations and enjoy those newborn snuggles!

Jess725 · 10/07/2024 14:12

@Cherubs4 wow! Congratulations, Good growing you did there ❤️❤️ wish you the speediest recovery ☺️

Welshgal85 · 10/07/2024 14:16

Congratulations to everyone who has a new arrival! 💕

Im being induced next week when I’ll be 38+4. Feeling okay about it a mix of nerves and excitement to meet baby.

On maternity leave now and feeling pretty uncomfortable. Trying to resist the feeling that I should be doing lots or going out lots and forcing myself to just rest!

Cherubs4 · 10/07/2024 14:22

Thank you for the congrats - we had no idea he would be so big. I even took part in a midwives research project for her studies where she gave me a growth scan at 36 weeks to see if she could accurately predict the birth weight, and that came out at 4kg! Going to buy some bigger outfits online - vinted is going to have a large collection of brand new newborn sized clothes uploaded in the next few weeks

AnonymousXXIX · 10/07/2024 15:00

Congratulations @Cherubs4 ! ❤

Outliers · 10/07/2024 15:15

Haven't checked this in a long time, nice to see the babies have started arriving.

38+2. Working up to my due date, but won't be displeased if baby decides to arrive earlier, though right now doesn't feel like that's gonna happen.

SapphireSeptember · 10/07/2024 15:27

@Cherubs4 Oh my goodness! Congratulations! That's a very big baby! 💐 💙 Hope you're both doing well and that you recover quickly. ❤️

Amberellaella · 10/07/2024 17:40

Congratulations @Cherubs4 and welcome to the world baby Valentine ☺️

MixedCouple2 · 10/07/2024 20:55

@Cherubs4 congrats well done! Speedy recovery. 🎉

My BFF all her babies were 9lbs-11lbs she is 5'1 tiny thing and managed to have 4 home births! They were very long labours though. No idea how she preserved.

@AnonymousXXIX omg thats great! I managed 1ml.a day but today I only got .2mls. I thought the right side would be easier as that was the case last time, but the left is the one get 90% from which is interesting.

I started to get more moderate period cramps today front and back but only 10mins and then nothing.

Snacks!!!!!
We got a bag of prunes, bag of graze nuts, Jordan Bars, pack of Digestive, dark chocolate, lemon bars and a 4 pack of Lucozade in the sports bottle.
