I keep having dreams that I go to the toilet and I'm bleeding, I don't know why I'm not particularly worried I think everything is fine.

I did have a chemical before this pregnancy though

Is anyone else having similar dreams? Every time I see the blood I start panicking

Supersoft2ply · 19/06/2024 17:48

I just had a text come through giving me an appointment with a 'screening Midwife' tomorrow.. No other context. I had my quad blood test last week, baby wasn't in a good position so couldn't do the nuchal test. I'm out of my mind worried. I asked for my results to come through phone call. 😭

How did it go @Supersoft2ply hoping it was nothing to worry about xx
have my 12 week (actual 13 week) scan tomorrow and nervous!

Supersoft2ply · 23/06/2024 16:53

@catmumma84 I had a high risk result 1 in 104. Not too worried about it, just came as a shock because I'm only 27. Did the NIPT and results should be back by Thursday

Bailem · 25/06/2024 14:58

How is everyone doing?

I'm 17 weeks and felt my first real baby movements today ❤️ it felt like a really soft kicking. Eek!!

I've felt baby before weeks ago, I was bending over and felt what I can only describe as a fish flipping over in my tummy but nothing until today ☺️ it's going quicker now I'm out of the first trimester trenches!

Lucylaughing · 25/06/2024 17:11

@Supersoft2ply wishing you the best of luck for your NIPT results

@Bailem that's so exciting! I'm only 14 weeks tomorrow so I'm well behind you. I can't wait to start feeling the movement! I'm so glad to be out of the first trimester too, feeling much better the past few days

Thank you! Got the phone call today that everything came back low risk. Can relax a bit more now.

Lucylaughing · 25/06/2024 17:17

@Supersoft2ply oh that's fantastic! And also be very quick. Glad you didn't have to wait too long

I’ve started blood sugar testing. They’re hoping to prevent GD reoccurring. The heat, my toddler and this tiredness plus work makes me feel like a zombie by 6pm. I’ve booked my annual leave so I have a couple days off each month to rest.

Mamaxo · 05/07/2024 12:13

Just found out I'm having a boy 🥹💙

Lucylaughing · 05/07/2024 13:01

@Mamaxo aw, that's lovely! Congrats. How many weeks are you now? I have a while to wait for my 20 week scan l. Did you have a private one?

Mamaxo · 05/07/2024 14:31

@Lucylaughing yeah private I had I'm 16 weeks x

Aardbeien · 23/07/2024 20:34

How are we all doing, baby is growing well, wouldn't behave at all at the 20 week scan, and I'm so tired and breathless at work that I'm considering taking early maternity leave

Copenhagener · 24/07/2024 13:18

@Aardbeien just had my 20 week scan today. All looked normal, phew. She also did NOT want to cooperate and I ended up having to do some downwards dog in the ultrasound room to get her to move into the right position 😅

When are you due?

I feel mainly okay, can’t feel baby yet because I have an anterior placenta, but I’m struggling to sleep well at night. I’m always up at 2am and 5am every morning for an hour or so.

MissMadam · 24/07/2024 16:51

We’re ok, absolutely exhausted here. I’m
trying drag out my days at work so that I can get a longer Maternity leave. I’ve booked a week or so off every month until November. I’m trying to go on Maternity leave towards the end of November. My 20 week scan is in just over a week. I’m looking forward to that. I heard the heartbeat at my 16wk Midwife check up. Honestly feels like I don’t stop worrying until I have that 20 week scan.

I also have an anterior placenta, I think I'm finally feeling something that might be baby movements at this point. I also have a low lying placenta but the midwife said my uterus will likely grow and help the placenta move out of the way. They didn't make me move much though, just asked me to wiggle my hips to encourage baby to roll over so they could finish the measurements 😂

I'm having a terrible time sleeping, 5am is my usual wake up for no reason time. And my mental health is honestly awful, like, the worst! That's part of why I'm thinking to start maternity leave early. Neither physically or mentally am I keeping up and I have so much I'd like to get done before baby gets here. Food prepping and unpacking boxes that have been hanging about for months for example!

Baby is due the 3rd of December but I'm expecting sooner because I have type 1 diabetes, they generally prefer baby to come a bit sooner which is fine with me, my birthday is like 3 weeks before so we might be almost birthday twins 😆

Every step I've said I'll stop worrying. At first confirming scan, at 12 weeks, at 20, now when they're safely viable outside the womb. Next probably when they're born, when they're at a lesser risk of sids, when will it end or maybe worrying about this child is just my default now. Definitely thinking that I'm excited to share my time with them, cuddles at Christmas time is going to be great. Hopefully, no one will expect me to do much other than sleep I think.

We’re going away at Christmas. A 3yr old and new baby plus section recovery no thank you. I have no interest in cooking or family politics. We’re booking into a holiday resort.

Oh I completely understand that! We live with my mother so there's no escaping her questionable cooking 😂 but no issues with family politics here, and there's plenty of care even if she insists in 40 carb and fat heavy side dishes which my European husband detests

Any mum is planning to go on holidays? currently Im planning to have a short trip to italy at 19 weeks and another 2 weeks trip to Japan at 26 weeks. My mum is very worried about me travelling.. I wonder what's other mums thoughts.. Im almost 37, first child, had a miscarriage last year at 11 weeks. So far, there isnt any sign of complications.

Copenhagener · 25/07/2024 06:07

@zooey22 yes I travelled to Sicily at 12-14 weeks, and I’ll be going to Switzerland at 24 weeks. Sicily was a wonderful experience - people love children in Italy and as I was already showing then, I was always given well-wishes and a seat on public transport by the local people.

In the nicest way possible, I don’t think your mum has any control over your actions as a fully grown mum-to-be yourself! A first trimester miscarriage is most often genetic and not preventable by anything you did or didn’t do. If your pregnancy is progressing normally, I can’t see any issues with travelling - especially in the second trimester. Make sure you have travel insurance and are familiar with local customs on pregnancy, eating, and hospitals in your area. And maybe some compression socks for the flight! I’d also be careful with your itinerary, you may get tired faster than usual. Will you be travelling with someone?

zooey22 · 25/07/2024 08:12

Thanks for the reply. yes im going with my partner.

I’m doing a couple of short trips in August. Only 1-2 days and I’ll be 24 weeks and 25 weeks. I was going to going for two weeks at 28/29 weeks but we decided to do UK breaks instead. I’m also pondering if we can drive to Bruges Christmas market in the Motorhome at 34 weeks. Just double check your insurance and airline rules. Enjoy before the sleep deprivation starts.

Hi all, first time mum due December 30th 😊 had a private scan at 16 where we found out it was a girl. All very exciting! I feel like my bump is huge though! Is anyone else showing at 17 weeks? X
