I’m feeling absolutely horrific guys, no physical vomiting but nausea all day everyday it feels like ground hog day or a hangover :( any tips on how you relieve?
and any positive stories of when people’s sickness lifted? I’ve heard it’s supposed to get better once the placenta is working but I’ve seen anywhere between 11-20 weeks for that :( praying for the former xx
(edit I’ll be 9 weeks on Saturday. 8+4 atm)

Edited

Same here, I did get nausea tablets from the GP that helps a little but I still don’t feel great. Along with horrible indigestion. I’m having to eat really small meals and not too often. I’m basically hungry but can’t eat. I’m hoping the nausea goes by 12weeks.

UnicornPrincessSarah · 23/05/2024 21:01

Hi ladies hope we all doing ok?

Had my 12 week scan yesterday, measuring 2 days ahead so now the estimated 2nd December 2024 for due date.

Just for fun what do we think baby could be via nub or skull theory?

When she was scanning the legs and bum area we did maybe see what looked like a penis lol I did ask if that was the umbilic cord but she said no it's not

@UnicornPrincessSarah
A friend is invested in the skull theory, I'm on the fence. Nub wasn't very clear on our scans. She thinks from my scan it's a girl and the scan picture is almost identical to our DD 🤷🏼‍♀️ I'm very much wait until gender scan though!

Copenhagener · 24/05/2024 09:48

Hi all,

I’ve been active on the infertility board, and I think it’s finally time to jump over here.

I’m 11+2 today with my first, conceived via IVF. I’m 33.

I’ve had a couple of scans already to confirm pregnancy post-IVF, and last week when I had a NIPT test.

Baby girl is due 11 December! I have my 12 week scan and NT scan next week.

Symptoms:
A low-level nausea nearly all day every day, like carsickness. But I’ve never vomited. Retching/dry heaving over certain foods, like bananas. Also; a terribly dry mouth combined with a bad mouth taste all the time.
Bloating (but because I’ve been on progesterone).
So exhausted! I am in bed by 9pm every evening.
Tender boobs/nips.

I had a lot of food aversions and a huge loss of appetite earlier on, but that’s now gone, thankfully.

Looking forward to getting to know you all better!

I've had my 12 week scan, they've brought my date forward to the 1st Dec so just in December still 😊

Feels real now, was lovely to see. I feel like it's done me the world of good, it's made me more excited about this pregnancy seeing little bean moving and growing.

DD was over the moon and it's nice to start sharing our news, it was getting harder to keep it to ourselves x

The 12 week scan is really special, I didn't think it could be more special than the 10 week one I got but I'm impressed. I feel like I can finally be excited about baby and tell people. They say I'm due the 3rd of December but I think I'll be induced earlier so I might have a November baby at this rate!

UnicornPrincessSarah · 24/05/2024 12:58

@Bailem Yeah im not sure how all these work myself, I'm going to treat myself for my birthday for a 16 week private scan to find gender out

I had the 12 week scan too yesterday, he wasnt cooperative though and they had to rebook for 15 weeks to get an accurate due date. Currently the estimate is early dec/end of nov, so im expecting them to arrive probably end of october (being a month early seems to run in my family!).

However also got my insulin dose and frequency increased so swings and roundabouts yesterday really. Pregnancy really does suck!

My little one was also not being the most cooperative, doing headstands and then curling up out of view. Got there in the end though. The benefit of that is another chance to get a peek at baby

Quolla · 24/05/2024 14:19

Nice to meet you @Copenhagener ! We're very similar dates, I think I'm 10+6.

I've been on vacation for a week or so which has been nice. I don't really feel pregnant but getting into my work trousers is getting difficult 😅 my twelve week scan is in the first week of June so a couple of weeks to go!

I don't really get nausea but the fatigue I got last pregnancy has hit this week and I need a two hour nap each early evening. Not ideal with a toddler and work! Last time this lasted a few weeks so I'm preparing to try to relax and get more sleep to pre-empt being entirety impossible to do anything...!

Rolly321 · 24/05/2024 16:19

Hello everyone! I thought I was due in November but my due date is now 1 December according to my 12 week scan so though I could join in on this thread too!

RedRobyn2021 · 26/05/2024 13:21

I'm 10 weeks today but haven't heard about my scan yet, how long do you think I should wait before I call someone?

Last time I had my scan at around 11 weeks so thought it would be the same sort of time frame but if it was surely I'd have heard by now

Had my booking appointment with my midwife 2 weeks ago and she said I'd have the appointment come up on the app but also receive a letter

Mamaxo · 26/05/2024 13:57

@RedRobyn2021 id give them a call, I had a booking appointment then had a appointment for a scan a week later it's not till June 20tg but still got it xx

Hi everyone! I’m on another Dec thread too but unsure if this is a different group 🥰 I’m 28, have a 18 month DD and 12 weeks + 2 (estimate). Have 12 week scan on Wednesday which I’m excited for but also anxious! This pregnancy has felt different to last time in the sense that I forget I’m pregnant sometimes with DD running around! How is everyone?

Also - has anyone set up/would be interested in a private Facebook group? I joined one for my first, and it is still a super supportive group even going in to toddlerhood! Would love one for this baby too if anyone fancies it?

Aardbeien · 29/05/2024 07:28

Yesterday I had the worst headache ever that wouldn't shift even with 2 (correctly spaced) doses of paracetamol, I woke up scared that it'll start again but so far I'm okay. I think the pain caused it but I was also throwing up yesterday. I'm 13 weeks now so I'd love if the awful symptoms could stop

tessdurbyfield · 29/05/2024 21:36

Current due date is 25th December 🎄 😂 would love to join a Facebook group too!

I´ve found a 10 minutes walk everyday ease a bit my sickness.
I´m currently 9+4

Hello ladies! I’ve set up a group for December 2024 babies if anyone fancies joining for us to support eachother and chat 🥰

https://fb.me/g/p_unXtP1SbQM6ifDja/sHzWvsUp

The group is private so shouldn’t be a problem if you haven’t announced your pregnancy just yet (I’m hoping everyone I’m friends with doesn’t receive a notification I’ve set this up too!). Looking forward to getting to know anyone who wants to join 🥰

@tessdurbyfield @RedRobyn2021 tagging you ladies as I know you were interested :)

Anyone else getting back pain, more specifically lower back pain? I’m ten weeks and it’s come on past couple days but not sure if it’s bc I’ve over done the walking this week ….
also had nausea 247 since 6 weeks and this morning felt like I might actually throw up (sat by the toilet for a bit) for the first time but I haven’t yet … fingers crossed, anyone else had this?
keen to join the Facebook group but terrified my friends will see it 🙈

I am, especially in the mornings when I wake it. It’s like I’ve been doing deadlifts at the gym and my back is paying for it. I’m the same with the nausea but I’m actually sick. I didn’t have this with my other and hate it. I’m sick at least once a day every day. I feel awful I’m praying it starts to go away soon.

RedRobyn2021 · 01/06/2024 11:36

I haven't @catmumma84 but I feel terrible, I have zero energy, I've been going to bed with my daughter at 6:30-7 because by the end of the day I feel so sick. I'm taking loads of medicine to stop me being sick. Feeling really low to be honest, just praying it gets better soon

catmumma84 · 01/06/2024 16:34

@MissMadam @RedRobyn2021 sorry to hear you’re both feeling crappy too :( I’m right there with you just counting down the days. My only tip for the sickness would be ice lolly’s…. And for the back pain my doctor told me some back strengthening exercises, hope it helps us 🙏🏼
