@RedRobyn2021 second pregnancy (lasting over 7 weeks) and feels totally different my first is a girl so I'm convinced I'm having a boy lol x

Quolla · 02/06/2024 14:48

@RedRobyn2021 mine is similar but different! Cravings are different (fruit this time instead of meat, which is nice), I had no nausea last time and a very small amount this time but a bit less fatigue (might be because I have a toddler to run after so just can't give in to it 😅). Mostly though this is is going faster! Last time the first trimester dragged like anything and now I'm losing track of weeks as time is going too fast.

ChocolateLemons · 02/06/2024 15:39

Feeling much more sick this time! And seem to be catching everything going. Was exhausted last time and this time too. Had an early scan last time and missing it! Feels like it's really dragging to the first scan. Anyone else having fun trying to dodge a wriggling and kicking toddler who loves trying to climb on them?

I feel like it's dragging too

All other second time mums say it goes so quick, feels so slow to me!

Desperate to find out the gender too

Yes I've wondered this too if having the same symptoms means I'm having another girl

I've been eating a lot of nectarines but that could just be because they're so nice 🤣

@RedRobyn2021 oh my word I've been eating so many apples haha! And they have to be really cold as well. This is my third pregnancy and it's definitely different from my other two - with my other two I was extremely sick for weeks on end. This time I was quite ill again from week 7-10 bur after that it seems to have got.so much better! Still quite nauseous at night but no real vomiting this time, just very tired still!

I got the NIPT blood test last week due to some concerns and results came back all low risk thankfully! I also found out the gender... a baby girl! I have two boys so maybe that's why the pregnancy feels that little bit different! :)

RedRobyn2021 · 03/06/2024 10:41

@littlepanda88 how many weeks are you now? Has your sickness been manageable?

littlepanda88 · 03/06/2024 16:14

@RedRobyn2021 I'm currently 11wk 5d now, how about you? Been coping ok on cyclizine so far for the nausea, still have it there but no where near as bad as it was weeks back. How have you been feeling?

Bailem · 03/06/2024 19:27

@RedRobyn2021 I'm having all the same symptoms as my DD. Just more nauseous when I get overtired but that's probably down to not having the relaxing pregnancy when there's no children to look after 🙈

Also find its dragging and we definitely want to find out the gender this time.

Not too bad at the moment just very little energy!

Hi lovely!

It might be because the link expires after 10 hours, if you now would like to try this one: https://fb.me/g/p_mneJVYqqaic4mDzK/V69dXtNs

So sorry that it’s being awkward! X

RedRobyn2021 · 07/06/2024 05:36

Feeling so rough this morning

I caught my daughters cold and I've spent all night feeling sick with a headache and just feel sore. Woke up and had to run to the bathroom to be sick, I haven't vomited since I went into hospital for the HG

I'm so tired, yet I've barely done anything lately, I'm finding being a mother so difficult at the moment, this is actually hell

I just want to curl into a ball and cry

Lucylaughing · 07/06/2024 13:54

@RedRobyn2021 I'm so sorry, that sounds really tough. I felt absolutely horrendous when I had covid a few weeks ago, I think it hit me harder than normal. But I don't have another child to look after. I hope you have some help at home, but really think just do what you can, the bare minimum is good enough when you're so unwell x

@AbbiL0u could you please pm the link to me? That sends me to my newsfeed. Thank you!

Quolla · 08/06/2024 19:23

Could you pm to me too please? It's also not working for me unfortunately.

Had my twelve week scan but the screening came back as high risk for trisomy so I've been referred for the NIPT. Trying not to worry but it's hard! I was hoping to tell work etc and a few more people but now I feel in limbo for a bit longer and they said it may take a while for results.

deliwoman1 · 08/06/2024 19:48

Hi everyone! Congratulations on your pregnancies! I hope it’s okay to join. 😀

I’m 11 weeks today, due 28th December. We have a DD who turns two this month so I can relate to those who’ve got toddlers climbing all over them!

I don’t feel it’s gone quickly so much this time, more that it’s less of an ‘event.’ If that makes sense. I suppose it’s because of having DD and a lot of other stuff to focus on. I’ve had losses though so my lack of symptoms had caused some anxiety at times. I have my 12 week scan next week and part of me is dreading it.

@Quolla I’m sorry to hear you’re in limbo. The wait must be horrible and I hope you get the best outcome from the NIPT soon. I’m 41 so expecting to have to have it myself. Do you know when your results will come through?

AbbiL0u · 08/06/2024 19:52

Awww of course ladies so sorry it’s being such a pain! Will PM you now, and posting link again now the last one has expired for anyone else who wants to join (think this one has 12 hours left) 🥰

So sorry to hear about the limbo @Quolla - I have heard this happen before and the follow up showing everything is fine, loads of love to you at this anxious time 💖

Hope everyone else with scans coming up is feeling okay, so exciting but so nerve wracking at the same time, I think it’s something my friends haven’t understood due to not being pregnant before so I have always felt a bit alone at this time too - always here to chat to anyone who needs it for that reason!
