@Marney12 I think we are roughly the same then! I am sure I'm turning 6 weeks either Monday or Tuesday! I've had an early miscarriage in the past so am also a bit weary. I wasn't offered an early scan or anything, I guess because I've only had one miscarriage. I am getting the cramping too and bad back! I'm trying to actually see it as a positive but I'm not getting my hopes up.

When will you get another scan?

We're going to do a private scan in about 2 weeks time provided everything is still going well. It's all such a worry though.

Sarahclairee · 18/05/2024 09:09

I’m 7 weeks tomorrow! Lots of lower backache, nausea & fatigue!
normal? I don’t know as with my first 11 years ago I had nothing! I could have been pregnant forever I enjoyed it that much. Got my midwife appointment coming through next week

Marney12 · 18/05/2024 09:29

@Ttcagainnow I haven’t had any spotting alongside it (which is what happened with my previous miscarriage) so taking that as a positive!

I am next going in at 7+1 in the hopes of seeing a heartbeat so a very similar time to you - keeping everything crossed we make it to then 🤞🏼

Ramonav88 · 18/05/2024 11:03

Hi everyone!

I just got a weak positive today so looking at end of Jan or very early Feb. It will be my 2nd as my older son is almost 5 ❤️ looking forward to meeting you all and chatting! It feels new again with my last pregnancy being so long ago.

Congrats!! Nice to have another jan bubbi join haha x

Lemonyfire · 18/05/2024 11:36

@Marney12 I've been having a lot of cramping today. I've spotted or bled in all my pregnancies ( successful and not) so I'm dreading and expecting it soon

Havasham · 18/05/2024 12:46

Congratulations to all the new positives!!
I've had a scan this morning at 7 weeks and saw a lovely little heartbeat. Makes it all so much more real!

Ramonav88 · 18/05/2024 13:26

have a lovely still active FB group with my son 🥰💐 would love the the same!

Sarahclairee · 18/05/2024 14:33

@Ramonav88 or a WhatsApp group. I think it would be nice and easier to stay up to date with everyone :)

belleissmart · 18/05/2024 15:14

Yeah that's a good shout!! God I'm so tired today. Fell asleep on the sofa at 10am like a nana.

Marney12 · 18/05/2024 15:44

@Lemonyfire so I am actually on cyclogest (progesterone) this cycle after my spotting last time - have you had your levels tested or looked at trying this?

It’s so hard not to read into every little symptom, especially when you have previous experiences (either good or bad!)

CubandPug · 18/05/2024 15:55

Lemonyfire · 17/05/2024 20:42

@CubandPug I also have a reasonable size age gap and am a bit older now than when I had my first!
I was 24 when I had #1 and he will be 12 when baby is born, I was 27 when I had #2 and she will be 9 and I'm now 36

What's your gap out of interest?

I will have a 15 year old and a 7 year old and a newborn. Not sure if this is a good or a bad thing but only one way to find out!

Lemonyfire · 18/05/2024 16:01

@Marney12 100% a good idea 😍 don't know what your two are like but mine have been begging for another for years and have a new baby niece and are obsessed with her so I'm hoping will be the same- can't wait to tell them. Told my 11yr when I had my mc as he's very mature and so caring and he said that as sad as he was to hear about it, he was also excited as it meant we wanted another baby and he didn't know that was even a possibility 🥹

Lemonyfire · 18/05/2024 16:03

@CubandPug see below sorry I am getting confused with my tags!

@Marney12 sorry tagged you in wrong on- I did have my progesterone checked when not pregnant and it was ok but because of the spotting and miscarriages I do qualify so hopefully there won't be a problem getting it next week after my scan

Kazza2803 · 18/05/2024 20:21

Hey guys I'm Karen I tested a couple of weeks back and I'm 6 weeks tmz! I'm due 13th jan with baby no 3! Big surprise! We have 2 boys aged 10 and 7 and we were done! Or so I thought! Lol but hey the universe decided we needed another addition to complete our wee family so I'm embracing it and feeling the nerves also! I'm older at 38 and my hubby is 50! 🫣

LS888 · 18/05/2024 20:37

I had a positive test yesterday. 1-2 weeks on a digital but I do ovulate late. Predicted due date of 26th January but suspect it may be a little later than that or potentially early Feb.

I already have a 9 month old baby girl. So by the time baby two comes she will almost be 18 months old. Scared but excited about this next step!

Looking forward to chatting!

I’m similar I have a 5 year old boy and I’m 35. Didn’t exactly think I was done but still a bit nervous about doing it all again. Congratulations!

Mama2b99 · 18/05/2024 21:15

5 weeks now:

Constipation has just started who else 😭🥲

belleissmart · 19/05/2024 07:30

@Mama2b99 YES! Honestly that and being tired and breathless are my main symptoms. Not fun!

coffeerocket · 19/05/2024 08:03

Would anyone recommend (if they've done this before) or are planning to themselves on having a private early ultrasound?

I'm considering it to ease anxiety (fully aware it won't look like a baby just yet!) but not sure what weeks/days would be best? Currently looking at booking one for 7w3d which is still two weeks away Confused the wait is so difficult!

We're booking one for a similar time. We actually go away soon so I think that's helping as the temptation isn't there! When we get back we will book one with whatever availability they have. We will be nearly 8 weeks or 8 weeks dependant on their availability! I don't want to book before we go, I know it sounds silly, but we booked one last time and I miscarried at nearly 6 weeks so I feel like I will jinx things (irrational I know, but my anxiety can't cope!) So taking things day by day at the moment.

LS888 · 19/05/2024 08:37

I had a mmc with my first pregnancy so was understandably a bit worried with my next one. We booked a private scan at around 9 weeks. And then had the nhs one at week 12. I think from around week 7 you can see the heartbeat. Think we are going to do one again this time. Just gives you the reassurance that everything is ok.

I had one in my first pregnancy around 8 weeks and it did help the anxiety for a bit but then after 2 weeks I was anxious again. Although that was the same pattern with the rest of the scans until I felt proper movements!

coffeerocket · 19/05/2024 08:42

@Ttcagainnow oh I'm so sorry to hear about your loss Flowers

Going away is definitely the best way to pass the time and avoid temptation! I have the opposite problem - I'm on a long haul trip at 10-11 weeks so want the reassurance before then, but at this rate I'm so impatient I'd end up going at both 7w and 9w! I should hold off until 8w really as a compromise haha
