Hi everyone - a message from the WhatsApp group. We've decided to cap the numbers at 50, this is mainly because it was created to get to know other mums on a more personal level, and we had to put a limit on numbers at some point otherwise there were just just too many messages to keep up with or really get to know anyone.
Also, there is an element of transparency - it had been explained several times that members needed to have their name and photo visible and also interact with the group - obviously not everyone can message every day, but there were some people who never interacted at all. We are sharing very personal things on there and just wanted to make sure our info stays as safe as possible ❤️
For those who were removed - this was the reason why and there was also a poll and several warnings - it wasn't anything personal!
It might be an idea for someone to make a second group if lots of people on this thread still want one 😊

Not a problem, I prefer the mumsnet chat anyway

I was removed from the WhatsApp too 😆 I'm due 13th Jan based on my dates so 5w today. Feeling fine, had a burst of energy yesterday and exhausted today!

We have the same due date ❤️
I don't have any symptoms really, I had really bad bloating and cramping at the start even before my BFP but nothing now, I just feel normal.

Congratulations @TryingToStaySane92! That's lovely to meet someone with the same due date. I don't have any specific symptoms either. Is this your first baby? I have 2 little ones and had a m/c in Feb. I am going to wait until 10 weeks for a scan I think, I had a 6 week scan before my m/c and it just caused confusion and stress for me! Hard to know the right thing to do. Wishing you all the best!

Yes this is my first pregnancy so I really didn't know what to expect! We've been tempted to get an early scan because it does not feel real!
I'm so sorry for your loss. It's so difficult to know what to do for the best.

Ttcagainnow · 14/05/2024 11:09

I too was kicked out of the WhatsApp group- thanks for the update about your reasoning why. It is a shame bit understandable. I'd not posted yet because I am only 5 weeks and had a M/C at 6 weeks before so not engaging in much until I'm a bit further along.

Yesterday was a tough day. My boobs aren't hurting as much and my pain moved to lower back and it just felt like it was game over for me. But so far no bleeding so just trying to remain positive for the time being. The anxiety is through the roof though. I wish I just knew how it wad going to go either way.

DaringlyDizzy · 14/05/2024 11:37

Has anyone been getting headaches? I have had three awful ones, every day for last three days. And so so tired! I am hoping thats a good thing as I was shattered with my son but not with the MC.

@Ttcagainnow the anxiety is awful. If it helps I had cramps all through my first, healthy, pregnancy!

I have been getting some terrible headaches, I had 2 absolutely splitting ones last week. I am also exhausted and have just started to feel nauseous, pretty much 24/7 - I didn't have any of these symptoms with my MC so I am also hoping it's a good sign, even though it isn't the most pleasant! I have my fingers crossed for us💓

Yes, awful ones almost daily! I usually take cocodomol for migraines too which I'm not doing now, so it's a struggle. But I'd take all these symptoms over the anxiety Confused just wishing I could skip forward to the scan stage for some (hopefully) reassurance!

TerryRose · 14/05/2024 12:00

The anxiety is so tough for sure. I've a bit of nausea / food aversion creeping in .

Firsttimetrier · 14/05/2024 12:26

@Ttcagainnow the anxiety is awful and with you there. I keep saying to myself “I’m pregnant today and have no reason to believe otherwise”.

hope you have a healthy pregnancy.

I'm also very anxious. Only 4+2 today and my scan isn't for another 4 weeks. Feels like a lifetime 😔 particularly after 2 missed miscarriages x

Elephxnt · 14/05/2024 12:42

Hi, another very anxious early-pregnancy checking in here, had my booking appointment yesterday and it felt very blasé, they didn’t even confirm it (which I know is normal, but so odd haha)
trying to go with what another poster said and tell myself I have no reason to believe anything has changed
sending good vibes to all!

Suddenly1987 · 14/05/2024 13:31

hi all, I am 17dpo today and due Date 20 or 21 Jan.. and going between feeling calm and 'believing' that I am pregnant to having anxiety about it all. Unfortunately I've had some light bleeding for 5 days as well as cramping so this has really created anxiety for me, although my GP was not concerned.

I've attached a test I did today, I hope it looks ok for 17dpo?

Also, feeling a little concerned that I haven't got any nausea, is nausea normal so early on in pregnancy?

keeping fingers crossed xx

Hello all, I’m really excited to join!

This is my first pregnancy, and am due 18/01/2025 for now! I’m 4 weeks and 2 days according to the EPU.

hi @Mariigolds , congrats!! I also am 4 weeks and 2 days ;)

Can I ask what was the process with the EPU? I have self referred to a maternity clinic and my first appointment won't be until 23 June with first scan on 8 July. How were you get checked so early? I also visited the GP who didn't offer anything other than standard advice... perhaps I'm missing something!

I am too - cramping and diarrhoea. I ended up having to go to the EPU as per my GPs suggestion.

I’ve had a scan yesterday but at this stage nothing was visible, thus I had blood drawn. I am to go again tomorrow to make sure HCG levels are rising as expected; with the progression of the urine tests, they expect for everything to be fine.

@Suddenly1987 This should answer your question :)

It’s very exciting that we’re at the exact same stage! Do you have the same due date as me?

Yep thank you, really appreciate it! Unfortunately in my case, even though I had concerning symptoms GP didn't suggest EPU to me so I wasn't really aware of this option, just told me to keep an eye on them... It's my first time and I'm just trying to navigate my way through everything...

It is exciting indeed! As per my app the due date is 20 or 21 Jan (depending how I calculate the start of my last period) but I'm sure that's not set in stone! I'm glad everything is expected to be fine for your tests :)

Newhere1993 · 14/05/2024 17:38

The anxiety is very real! But definitely feeling the nausea and food aversion for the last week ... other than coke and toast all other food and drink are making me feal queasy 🤢 this is my first and did not realise it to this degree 😅

Lemonyfire · 14/05/2024 17:56

@Suddenly1987 and @Mariigolds I'm also 4w2d 😁 I will be under the EPU from 6 weeks ( earliest they will accept referral) due to previous losses. I was told by EPU before to take progesterone but when I spoke to GP yesterday they said I couldn't until a HB is seen so I've got another GP calling me today after I sent them over Tommys guidelines! Will see. Weirdly I'm less anxious than I was last time.

DaringlyDizzy · 14/05/2024 18:02

I am now 13DPO and have two faint lines on a FRER but nothing on the cheapies. Starting to really get to me as what initially highlighted things were off last time was that my lines never got darker and i was 6 weeks before a digital showed pregnant. EPU will see me Friday due to previous losses and I am hoping I will see a positive on a cheapy tomorrow but seriously spiralling. All I want is a clear line!!

Lemonyfire · 14/05/2024 18:27

@DaringlyDizzy I know it's easier said than done but acknowledge your reasonable anxiety based on history but try not to spiral. Distraction is key for me. Cheapies are completely inconsistent and a positive on a reputable brand is far better xxx

Ttcagainnow · 14/05/2024 20:10

Does anyone else around 5 weeks have bad lower back pain? I feel like this is my only symptom now and I'm finding it hard not to think it's going to turn into a miscarriage again.

xx11x · 14/05/2024 21:28

Hi all,

Thought I would join in, I am 6 weeks 4 days pregnant with EDD of 2nd Jan.
I had my early scan on Sunday and saw everything is in the right place and the heartbeat.

This is my first pregnancy so all new to me.

reimah · 14/05/2024 22:40

Hi all.
5 + 3 today.
Had a scan at 5+1 at the EPU due to previous losses.
On progesterone since yesterday and woke up today with bright red blood, no idea what is going on. The anxiety is weighing me down.
Follow on scan in 2 weeks.
Symptoms seemed to have disappeared! No nausea, no sore boobs and no cramps.
Fingers always crossed x
