Seeing lots of people talk about booking appointments, I’m 6wks on Monday and haven’t been contacted yet about when it will be… I guess all trusts are different so I’m not worried I’ve heard nothing yet but hopefully soon!

Is anybody else suffering from hay fever? I have it so bad at the moment and I went to speak to the pharmacist as the NHS website said that I could, and she just batted me away and said I need to speak to my gp. I’ve read online that they recommend loratadine as antihistamine during pregnancy - is anyone else taking this?

Hey I have hayfever too. I'm taken local honey (bought it just before I was pregnant) at the minute I'm trying to avoid anything that can trigger it and wearing sunglasses an putting baseline around nose and eyes when I can. Its awful tbh but I know to try get the gp will be a nightmare lol.

I self referred to midwife and my booking appointment is at 9 weeks

Hello!
Congrats all. I'm tentatively joining at 10dpo. Have two children ( 12 and 8) and have been trying for number 3 for 2 years. Had my most recent miscarriage in January this year

@ThelastRolo20 I feel like we may have crossed paths in a couple of threads ( due September and miscarriage one) if so- very glad to see you on here ❤️

locot · 12/05/2024 09:06

5 weeks 6 days here with my first baby. Due on the 7th of January ☺️

PermanentlyTired03 · 12/05/2024 09:10

Welcome all! I’m nearly 5 weeks and the heat of the past 2 days has wiped me out! I don’t know if it’s early pregnancy but I had to have a nap yesterday afternoon and was asleep by 9!

I think we did the miscarriage one 🥰 congrats lovely! There's a WhatsApp group - link above in the thread, do join! Xx

MaybeBaby2024 · 12/05/2024 12:02

@Lemonyfire welcome 😊
@PermanentlyTired03 Yes the heat is killing me, and so thirsty all the time plus really craving salty foods.

Has anyone’s morning sickness kicked in yet? My nausea tends to hit later in the day haven’t actually been sick yet though 🤢

PermanentlyTired03 · 12/05/2024 12:26

No morning sickness yet, but it might be a bit early for me. I’m expecting it in the next fortnight and dreading it!

Firsttimetrier · 12/05/2024 12:38

I’m exhausted and finding it much harder already this time around because of my toddler. I just want to sleep but he’s going through a period of 5am starts 😴

I haven’t had any nausea yet but think this kicked in around 6 weeks, so expecting it to arrive from Tuesday.

B1989 · 12/05/2024 12:47

5 weeks today for me and no symptoms except for bigger boobs and a lot of white discharge

MaybeBaby2024 · 12/05/2024 13:38

Suppose I am a bit further along. 6 weeks + 2/3 depending on the app.

By 7 weeks with my last pregnancy I was in hospital needing IV Fluids

Feeling the same with the tiredness and toddler... I'm 6+1 today and have just had to nap with her for the first time in a long time, I'm exhausted!
Starting to feel really quite nauseous now and this was the point where my physical sickness started in my last pregnancy. I almost want to be sick for reassurance but am also absolutely dreading it 💀

locot · 12/05/2024 14:10

Where can I find the WhatsApp group please? 🥰

Girlmom2009 · 12/05/2024 16:16

There a link on the thread I believe ☺️

Vik27 · 12/05/2024 17:32

I’m 4w+4 (ivf) and the hair loss is unreal! So much of my hair comes out when I brush. I thought your hair was meant to get thicker when pregnant. Or could it be the meds I’m on? I’ll take it anyway for a healthy pregnancy

I also napped when he napped today too 😂 absolutely needed it. We’re trying to cap his naps to 1.5hrs in the hope he sleeps past 5.30am (why do they feel the need to wake so early?!) and I was so tempted to let him sleep for longer so I could 😂

6 weeks was when things kicked in for me too, but like you, welcoming it for reassurance but absolutely dreading it!

Hi all, I'm about 4+5 I think today and I am SO tired. Is this normal this early on? I am also so achy, my back and shoulders feel as achy as when I have a flu or cold type illness but I'm not ill. Is it normal?
I've been avoiding threads for the most part because I had an early miscarriage in my previous (and first) pregnancy. But I need to know if what I am feeling is pregnancy related or if I'm ill?

Lemonyfire · 12/05/2024 19:40

@Ttcagainnow I'm 4 weeks and am exhausted. I don't know if heat is playing a part. This is my 5th pregnancy ( I have two children) so I feel the same as you with refraining too much. What I'll say is all of mine have been different and everyone's body is completely different so yes I'd say that could be completely normal :)

I had the cold/flu symptoms at 4 weeks and the tiredness in the first trimester is next level.

In my first pregnancy, I would sleep 12 hours then have a lunchtime nap to survive. Luckily it was lockdown times so WFH full time but this time in the office a few days a week and it’s a struggle. Plus also got a nearly 2 year old, so can’t even relax on the weekends 😴

BeLemonQuoter · 12/05/2024 22:14

Hi, I am 5 weeks and 3 days today. I am 41 now and we were trying for a baby for 4 years. We have tried ivf and this was our last attempt (I had 4 previous transfer from 2 cycle). I had a chemical pregnancy at the first ivf which was a faint line on 14dp5dt and even fainter on the following day. So I didn't dare to believe in the bfp but the line progressed nicely and I am starting to let myself happy and focus on enjoying every day whie I still have a baby growing. I will have a viability scan in almost 2 weeks time. I am mostly symptomlesss, but tired most of the time, sometimes dizzy, sometimes slightly nauseated and cramping a little. Ohh and sore boobs.

rosepatricia · 12/05/2024 22:17

Congratulations everyone, I am joining this thread, due mid January, got a positive test last week. Hope everyone is doing well! When will you get your first scan?

MaybeBaby2024 · 12/05/2024 22:20

@BeLemonQuoter congratulations and welcome. Hope all goes well for you!

@rosepatricia going for a scan this week on Wednesday

Summerrose24 · 12/05/2024 22:29

That's exciting, hope the scan goes well!
We have 2 daughters and had a m/c earlier this year. One of my daughters has additional needs so we are nervous but excited to add to our family. Is anyone else in a similar situation?

I'm 4+4 today, so very close to you!

I found out a week ago and almost immediately felt extremely tired. Napping every day, which isn't like me at all. My sleepiness is at its worst at lunch time, so grateful I WFH!

I can't believe things happen this quickly! Although I am extremely anxious about letting myself get too excited this early on. It's my first pregnancy but feels too good to be true - terrified about things not working out but trying to remember it's out of my control Blush

DaringlyDizzy · 13/05/2024 10:13

Hi all!!
I am SO PLEASED TO SAY I CAN JOIN HERE WOOOO!

After a year of trying I fell pregnant in Feb. Unfortunately it was an ectopic and everything was over with by March. I was very likely in that it was managed really well with lots of care and attention. I was then referred to reoccurent miscarriage clinic as it was my third but the appointment was pushed from May to September and then October. In April my period returned and once was all it took. SO excited and scared and all the feelings. Still in shock. Tested slightly early with a FRER and cant stop looking at it!!! Due around 25th Jan
