Hi everyone and welcome to thread 3.
Please ask if you’d like the link to the private Facebook group. It expires after a couple of days so I won’t add it to this post.
If you’re new to the thread, we are a friendly and supportive bunch all in it together and hoping to welcome our new additions in November 2024!

@Jellybelly888 I genuinely am so sorry to hear this.

Your words on thanking the baby has made me cry. I did the same when my son passed away in December. We found out via a scan too. It's just horrible. I'm sending you all of the love.

y0rkier0se · 08/04/2024 18:40

So sorry @Jellybelly888, sending love x

Daydreamer94 · 08/04/2024 20:10

So sorry to hear your news @Jellybelly888 hoping you can heal and have lots of support xxx

7+6 today and not been remotely as tired, or nauseous.

Still had a few food aversions but not been yawning or energy-less and I really have been these past few days. Starting to worry - despite my own advice of not worrying 🤣

Same for me 7+6 yesterday I suddenly felt pretty good again. 8 weeks today all my energy has come back. Cleaned the whole house, done all my work. Eating well. But feels really disconcerting!

PennySong · 08/04/2024 20:33

@Jellybelly888 I'm so sorry 💔 take care of you xx

I saw the placenta takes over at 8-10 weeks so maybe it’s that for both of us? Either way, reassuring that it happened on literally the same day for us both!! Xx

I had energy in week 7 - now in week 8 it's gone and I'm wiped out 😴 I'm taking big naps in the afternoon.
In my mind it means my wee one is growing a lot 🤞 Can't wait for the scan on Thursday - I hope it's good news!

strawberrycake12 · 08/04/2024 20:40

That's so interesting @Sparksi I didn't know that! Really hoping things are okay for us both. I do feel pinching and stretching so I think that must be my womb expanding or whatever it's called 😂 I have a scan next Tuesday so just hoping everything will be okay for then ☺️

strawberrycake12 · 08/04/2024 20:42

Hoping for you @PennySong ! I bet my tiredness will hit again very soon 😂 I'll keep you both updated 😅

Sparksi · 08/04/2024 21:07

Has anyone else had the odd day or two where they haven’t been as tired?

I’m 8+3 and had a day the other week where I was worried as I felt good, my sickness went & boobs didn’t feel as sore! Literally the next day it came back. I have found over the past few weeks I’ll have days where I feel better, some days I’ll be ok in the morning and bad at night, and others where I’m bad all day. I think it must be fluctuating hormones

Westy22 · 08/04/2024 21:18

I'm so so sorry @Jellybelly888 💔 look after yourself x

Thank you for the info on your appointment @Sparksi you've got me questioning now whether to be weighed, before I fell pregnant this time I was 0.5 over my normal bmi early feb and my gp actually told me to loose weight otherwise I wouldn't get fertility help i actually nearly fell off my chair 🙈 (1 MC and its taken 9 months to conceive again) she even said "don't loose too much as it won't suit you as your tall" like it was a personal bloody opinion...I didn't attempt to loose weight and fell pregnant that cycle 🤣 my bmi is probably well higher now 🤣🤣

My appointment is tomorrow and my anxiety is through the roof, hoping they can help bring me back down a little. It's like im programmed that it's going to go wrong and I can't shake it off 😫

CurlyWurly1991 · 08/04/2024 21:19

Definitely getting fluctuations here too. Coming up to 7w and it feels like it’s shifting hour by hour. Last week I had a distinct pattern to the days, now it feels like I don’t know what to expect at all. Makes any sort of planning or preparation kind of tricky around work and socialising etc. Most of the time I just want to stay home and hibernate, but I can’t!

SouthwestSis · 08/04/2024 21:23

I have felt completely wiped out for almost the entire duration of the last 7 days. Just checked my step counter on my phone and I'm averaging 4500 a day which is less than half of what I'd usually do!
No wonder I feel like a slug.
Hoping some more energy finds me soon, at least I've had annual leave and can indulge in some rest whilst DH deals with the toddler.

Westy22 · 08/04/2024 21:27

9+4 and I'm feeling more "normal" hoping it's placenta take over, constipation is no where near as bad and tiredness comes and goes. Random thing today was my ribs were aching both sides, don't know what that's all about.

I always want to stay home and hibernate @CurlyWurly1991 think it's the weather that makes me want to do that though 🤣

Westy22 · 08/04/2024 21:28

Sorry 9+5 (long day 💤)

1yearplan · 08/04/2024 21:38

I've had the most hideous few days. It was supposed to be my wedding day today. Due to some horrible events I had to cancel it yesterday. I've been so upset. I'm really worried that the stress will affect the baby.
Unfortunately the stress will be ongoing for a while.
I've not really had any symptoms apart from tender breasts and quite sharp cramping and backaches - which makes me worry even more. I just think everything is so heightened at the moment worry wise.

Starrysky812 · 08/04/2024 22:02

@1yearplan so sorry to hear this. I hope you are okay. Try not to worry too much about the effect of stress on the baby (easier said than done, I know). Babies are born and can do well in lots of terrible circumstances (war zones for example) so I'm sure your little one will be just fine. Look after yourself though - that's important for you and baby ❤️

It might be costal margin pain - pressure on your ribs due to uterus growing. Very normal xx

I've never heard of that. Do you think it would cause stitches in your sides? I've been getting them on & off for a while now.

taytay2020 · 08/04/2024 22:50

I've got my first scan tomorrow morning, the nerves are really setting in now. I'll be 7+4. I've had lots of symptoms (mostly extreme fatigue, and a constant travel-sick feeling without actually being sick) but the queasiness has definitely ramped up over the last couple of days, so I'm hoping that's a good sign. We've crossed a lot of fertility hurdles to get this far, but I feel powerless at each new hurdle we get to. Please send good luck our way!

y0rkier0se · 08/04/2024 23:19

Good luck @taytay2020 x

1yearplan · 09/04/2024 06:15

Thank you @Starrysky812 for your kind words. You're right. Hopefully all will be well. It's situations like this that really put life into perspective.

Good luck with your scan @taytay2020.

waryandbored · 09/04/2024 06:35

@1yearplan I’m so sorry you had to cancel your wedding! Whatever stress you’re going through, I hope you’ve got support. Look after yourself xx
