Not good news from me. I had a private scan booked for 6th April and they kindly brought it forward and saw me this evening. Confirmed miscarriage, only measuring 6+4 and no heartbeat, so it stopped growing the day after my NHS scan last week. Will see what EPU says on Wednesday about the next steps.

Life is so cruel. I feel so broken. I really thought this would work out after 3 years TTC. The worst part is I know I won't get any investigations because I've 'only' had 2 MCs.
I'm going to step away from the thread and FB group, wishing you all happy and healthy pregnancies. I really hope one day I get to join you as a mummy...

I’m so sorry. We are all thinking of you and sending love and strength x

shohopeful · 25/03/2024 21:13

@Loz365 thinking of you. Where there's a will there's a way. You will be a mummy one day! I'm so sorry this is happening to you xxx

fizzyfantatwist · 25/03/2024 21:14

@Loz365 I'm so sorry. Will be thinking of you. Sending love and best wishes for the future xx

Sparksi · 25/03/2024 21:37

@Loz365 so sorry to hear your news. Take care of yourself. You WILL get your rainbow. All the very best for the future xxxx

Sparksi · 25/03/2024 21:38

@Meatballsandpasta yep I am thinking the exact same!!!

Loz365 · 25/03/2024 22:28

Thanks for all your kind words, it really means a lot 🖤

Kinsters · 26/03/2024 00:36

@Loz365 so sorry, pregnancy loss is such a hard thing to go through x

@Meatballsandpasta I'm feeling a lot better now at 8+2 than I did week 6 and 7. Everything I read says symptoms peak at 9 weeks but that's not the case for me. I was never too bad though. But hopefully you'll feel better sooner than you think.

Welshcake15 · 26/03/2024 06:12

So sorry to hear this @Loz365 Look after yourself.

Welshcake15 · 26/03/2024 06:15

@Meatballsandpasta honestly, I found my second pregnancy easier than my first in terms of symptoms.

Have you tried anything for the nausea? I swear by gin gins sweets.

piechipsgravy · 26/03/2024 06:27

So so sorry @Loz365 sending you love xx

@Riverstardust gosh we're really struggling with girls names! Need to do some research!
@Rolly321 we're the same - I have all DD's clothes in storage so it would definitely make things more straightforward! She'll be 2 in December so it'd be a lovely age gap for two sisters 🩷 however like you I'd also love one of each! I guess as long as it's a happy healthy baby, I'm beyond lucky xx

We'll have to swap ideas if we need to then! 😂😂

Riverstardust · 26/03/2024 07:22

@Loz365 I'm so sorry! 😔

Westy22 · 26/03/2024 08:45

Thinking of you @Loz365 ❤️❤️

Westy22 · 26/03/2024 08:49

Had my second scan with EPU yesterday at 7+4, all good and baby is measuring possibly a day or two ahead, they struggled getting full measurements as its really tucked in a corner lol I've been discharged from them now so fingers crossed everything proceeds as normal 🙏 booking appointment in two weeks x feels very surreal atm and still quite minimal symptoms other than the odd wave of nausea and bloating that makes me look 5 months pregnant already 🙈

Meatballsandpasta · 26/03/2024 09:24

@Kinsters thank you. I'm hoping that's the case for me as I have two weeks of leave currently, so if I can get back to something closer to normal after that I could probably cope better overall!

@Welshcake15 I have so far tried the "eat before I get up" which helped a bit (crackers and water on my bedside table), and drinking much more than I would do normally - always sipping at something if I can. But I will order some gin gins and see if they give me longer respite between waves. Thank you for the suggestion.

@Sparksi sorry to hear you're feeling the way I am. Solidarity!

Sparksi · 26/03/2024 09:41

Seen a little bean with a strong heartbeat this morning on a transabdominal scan. 6 weeks exactly 😍 embryo measuring 4mm. Do the measurements sound about right for the gestation?

1yearplan · 26/03/2024 09:50

Ahh that's lovely news @Sparksi, congratulations! It's always so lovely to see them on the scan.

Riverstardust · 26/03/2024 09:55

Think I'm 5 weeks today. Had a rough 1st week and a nice day yesterday with no symptoms. DH joked that it would be worse today, and it is. Constant feeling like I'm about to be sick. Just about to go on a morning meeting at work so hopefully I don't throw up and announce to them all. 😂

Riverstardust · 26/03/2024 09:56

@Sparksi so pleased for you!!!

Jellybelly888 · 26/03/2024 10:03

Progesterone ladies - what dosage are you on and how many times per day? My new consultant (who hadn’t even seen me yet) already wants to halve my dose, despite previous recurrent MC and me being on 2 x 400mg per day with my DS (my only live birth). I’m furious!

I'm on 40g a day, one taken in the morning and the other in the afternoon. Why on earth would he want to reduce it? Especially if it has worked for you in the past and you're not having any side effects. I hope you get what you want in this.

1yearplan · 26/03/2024 10:14

I mean 400mg twice per day - the same as you. Not 40!

Jellybelly888 · 26/03/2024 10:21

@1yearplan thank you. It’s a woman doctor and she hasn’t seen me but got her secretary to ring me, told me to come off my fragmin injections and halve my progesterone pessaries. I have a blood clotting disorder so to take me off my fragmin would mean I would miscarry straight away and reducing the progesterone would have the same effect. Should I ask for a different consultant? I don’t trust her judgement at all.
