@omghavingababy I'm so sorry. If it helps to know I got pregnant really quickly after my loss in January (fell pregnant in Feb). Keep taking your folic acid and take care of yourself. Xxxxxx

piechipsgravy · 05/04/2024 13:06

So sorry @omghavingababy sending you lots of love xxxx

I think that's it 🤔 I've decided to stop running for the bus in case I set it off or make it worse.
My scan is next Thursday morning.

Thank you for your encouragement. I don't mind the bean being a week behind if the heartbeat is strong. And I think it looked strong just not as fast as the lady would have liked. I don't think it was slow either. It's supposed to be 120 at that size, I think it was between 100-110.
It could definitely pick up - I've seen lots of stories where it does. 🤞🍀

Was it a private scan or NHS? Ours was NHS, the sonographer didn’t measure the heart rate, we could clearly see it beating but no idea how fast. Sometimes I wonder if maybe too much info is unhelpful? Who knows, if they’d had measured the heartbeat for us it might have been exactly the same speed in terms of being slow… all I know is statistically things are supposed to be so much more in favour once a heartbeat is established 😊

Hey people my 2nd scan this morning didn't go great (as expected) booked in for surgery next week - I'm ok and at peace with it, just want it all over with now so I can start trying again
just left the Facebook group good luck to all you November babes! Thinking of all of you xx

I'm so sorry to hear this and sorry you have to have surgery. I'm going through similar but have to wait until Monday for an answer, it's so cruel and unfair. Take care of yourself 💕

Hi all,

I might be too early, but I just got my blood test back from my first FET (fresh transfer failed) and it was positive at 121 IU/L. I’m 4+2. I’ve only told my boyfriend.

They don’t do another unless it’s under 75, but I’ve been booked in for a scan in week 7. I never expected to get this far, so suddenly I’m completely anxious and googling everything from ectopics to chemicals. It’s going to be a super hard wait until the scan! I live abroad, and communication with the nurses isn’t always totally clear, so I hope I’ll get some good conversations in this thread.

I feel mostly okay, except for a (mild-like a stitch) consistent stretching sensation on my right side under my rib cage. It’s been there non-stop since my transfer. I’m also crazy bloated! I hope it’s just linked to that; but weird it’s only one-sided.

Anyway, despite my pregnancy paranoia I’m excited to be here - and hopefully I’ll be able to stay around for a while!

Congratulations! When is your due date? Is it November or December?

strawberrycake12 · 05/04/2024 13:46

Thismorning I was like this is wierd I don't feel sick today! Now it's nearly 2pm and I feel sick again 😂😂 it's downhill from afternoon to evening for me. 7+4 today!

CurlyWurly1991 · 05/04/2024 13:49

@strawberrycake12 I’m the same and tend to feel worse as the day goes on, although just felt crap all day today.

@omghavingababy I’m really sorry to hear your news. I had surgery in January for an MMC and it was much better than expected, I needed a couple of days off afterwards for the physical recovery. The emotional side can take a while to sink in and I hope you will be taken care of. I conceived this bean the month after my surgery xx

waryandbored · 05/04/2024 12:00

I’ve just had my scan. We saw the feral pork and heartbeat so definite progress from last time. They’ve measured me as 7+2 which is 9 days behind my LMP. The nurse said that’s not anything to worry about and I probably just ovulated late, although it seems way off to me!

Congratulations!! That's such lovely news.

I know exactly when I ovulated. I have a scan in a few weeks. If they try and tell me I'm behind I'm going to have to say that's impossible. I should stand my ground on it right? I'm worried they are going to try and tell me different but I have the peak on my chart with my BBT rise. Anyone had this happen to them before? It's what I'm worrying about but it will be literally impossible to be any other dates for me.

piechipsgravy · 05/04/2024 13:57

@strawberrycake12 implantation can also happen between 6-12DPO so depending on if you implanted early or later, you could have 6 days difference even with the same ovulation date! And people who have IVF with certain dates can measure ahead or behind. It's just one of those things I guess.

I had this, I was totally sure of my dates and the Dr agreed that I was right. I still ended up waiting a few weeks before having surgery as I wanted to be really 100% certain.

So sorry to hear this. Take care of yourself after the surgery. It's only a small procedure but the anaesthetic can really take it out of you x

Thanks that's really interesting! I hadn't thought of it that way. I tested positive on 9DPO so my implantation would have been 6-8 DPO. Hopefully that gives me a smaller time frame. If they start telling me I'm 10 days out I won't be having it 😂🙈

I obsessed over DD's heart rate as it was in the slower range too. It all turned out fine so I hope the same is true for you. My dates are way out in the other direction and I know that it can't be correct so I think there is measurement error, baby position etc that affects things.

Thank you! I've been looking for good news stories to cheer me up. I think lots of things affect it - agreed! Also thet develop at different rates - same with children too.

It was a private scan and everything is so fuzzy I'm surprised they can make anything out. It's the size of a pea - measuring anything can't be exact. She had three different sizes but it was huge compared to last time.
Thanks for telling me about the heartbeat & the chances - it really helps 💜

muddlingthrou · 05/04/2024 15:40

My scan today went well, which is a massive relief. So sorry to those who didn't get the results they wanted xx

I have my scan in just over 2 hours. Feeling really anxious because of how relatively few symptoms I have. My hCG is meant to be peaking now but I'm feeling barely nauseous and all I keep seeing online is how terrible people feel around 9 weeks. Will keep you all updated either way.

Just got an invite for my viability scan. It’s on 25 April. I’m going to be on tenterhooks until then!

Good luck. It’ll be ok. Placenta can take over anywhere from week 8-10. Xx

Good luck @piechipsgravy And congrats @muddlingthrou ! So glad it's less than a week to go for mine.
