I was brushing my teeth this morning and can’t seem to brush my tongue at the moment without honestly nearly vomiting every time. Has anyone else had this 😂🤢

Yes, brushing my tongue and swallowing pills with water were a no go weeks 6-9. Even now I don't feel so nauseous anymore I'm still taking my pills with yogurt and only doing a cursory tongue brush.

CurlyWurly1991 · 05/04/2024 09:01

Can’t keep up with all the new messages!

I wish the best to all having scans today, and those waiting for follow up scans. I think the waiting is the worst. I hope everyone has nice things to look forward to in between the anxiety / nausea / exhaustion etc!!

I need to take my own advice lol. Trying to keep my daughter entertained over the rainy school hols is not easy in never ending rain and cold. Sooooo tired.

How far are you now? Glad it might get better 😂 yoghurt is a great idea but I have gone off butter and yoghurt in a massive way. The joys!

10+3, I've been feeling better for a while though. The last time I was actually sick was 7+6 so for me it peaked a lot earlier than what I read online which said morning sickness peaks at 9 weeks. I haven't really felt nauseous for a week I'd guess. Although the other day I had a sip of DS's grape flavoured drink and that set it off so badly 🤢

Some days I just had the one spoonful of yogurt, just to get the pills down without gagging lol.

Morning!
Has anyone taken antibiotics when pregnant? I’ve woken up with what I think might be tonsillitis and just unsure if I should go to the docs to get antibiotics to treat or not…
good luck to everyone with scans today!
hoping for some nice positives news later for you all.

I had a 7 day course of amoxicillin last week for a UTI.
Definitely worth getting yourself checked out though, we have enough "delightful" symptoms to cope with without adding in something that'll make you feel more rubbish.

Sparksi · 05/04/2024 10:43

I feel almost hungover today. Just so lethargic and no energy. I slept for 9 hours!

I know I need to eat but I can’t think of anything that doesn’t make me want to be sick 🤢 I’m going to go to the supermarket soon and just pick up what I think I might manage

Definitely go! I am sure there are some antibiotics that wouldn't be used in pregnancy but penicillin based ones (which is what would be used for bacterial tonsillitis) is considered safe. Doctors know to check which drugs are or are not an issue if a patient's pregnant. Don't suffer unnecessarily, tonsillitis can be really painful!

Best of luck to those having scans this week! I haven't been on here for a while, but it's so lovely seeing everyone's messages ❤️

I had a scan a little over a week ago which showed me measuring slightly behind (no heartbeat or fetal pole yet detected). Waiting for a re-scan next Thursday. Did get a massive shock though when they said there were two sacs so looked 👍🏼 twins! The sonographer was really lovely, but did say they didn't know how many pregnancies started with two sacs which then ended with one, so we'll see. In the meantime, have my booking appointment with the midwife today. Not sure what to expect as I've never made it this far, but it's nice to be able to tick off milestones.

Thank you so much. Lots of hugs for you too. 💜
I have something else that could cause bleeding at some point too. But I forget what it's called. It's not too big though. And I hope it doesn't cause problems.
She said the yolk sac was a good size and I'm pleased there's been some progress. And there is a heartbeat going on. Mum said to keep positive but it's so difficult.
I hope you're ok xx

Was that a subchronic haematoma by any chance @PennySong ?

Been thinking of you, I think it all sounds positive, a heartbeat is good news! Loads of us here have had early scans that seem way off with measurements so it seems common. When is your scan next week?

waryandbored · 05/04/2024 12:00

I’ve just had my scan. We saw the feral pork and heartbeat so definite progress from last time. They’ve measured me as 7+2 which is 9 days behind my LMP. The nurse said that’s not anything to worry about and I probably just ovulated late, although it seems way off to me!

Congrats @waryandbored although feral pork has got me absolutely howling 😂😂

I think that's it 🤔 I've decided to stop running for the bus in case I set it off or make it worse.
My scan is next Thursday morning.

Thank you for your encouragement. I don't mind the bean being a week behind if the heartbeat is strong. And I think it looked strong just not as fast as the lady would have liked. I don't think it was slow either. It's supposed to be 120 at that size, I think it was between 100-110.
It could definitely pick up - I've seen lots of stories where it does. 🤞🍀

PennySong · 05/04/2024 12:15

@waryandbored That's great! 🎉 Glad you've got a heartbeat.
My bean is a bit behind. I'm starting to think it happens a lot from all the reports online.

Yes the nurse really didn’t seem to think anything of it. My periods were irregular and I did think I ovulated a week later than I expected to, so it makes sense. Frustrating to be only 7+2 but it is what it is!

CadoAvo · 05/04/2024 12:34

@waryandbored feral pork 😂😂😂 thanks for the laugh 🥹 really glad it went well 🤞🏼

Shroedy · 05/04/2024 12:40

I now have visions of wild boar appearing on the ultrasound screen 😁

Crazylifeofamum · 05/04/2024 12:40

Morning ladies.

I've been a bit quiet since my intro.. could not for the life 9f me get onto the Facebook page..can I have the name of it and search that way??

I went to EPU yesterday as I didn't been having some intermittent pains on my legs side... they did my HCG and this morning told me they were 2118... I'm 6 weeks today by dates... so I dunno what to think they seem low I mean they could be lower in the ranges but it's low compared to the highest it can be.

They have booked me in for a scan on Monday and now I'm just stressed 🙃

H20202 · 05/04/2024 12:43

Feral pork 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I obsessed over DD's heart rate as it was in the slower range too. It all turned out fine so I hope the same is true for you. My dates are way out in the other direction and I know that it can't be correct so I think there is measurement error, baby position etc that affects things.

Copenhagener · 05/04/2024 12:55

Hi all,

I might be too early, but I just got my blood test back from my first FET (fresh transfer failed) and it was positive at 121 IU/L. I’m 4+2. I’ve only told my boyfriend.

They don’t do another unless it’s under 75, but I’ve been booked in for a scan in week 7. I never expected to get this far, so suddenly I’m completely anxious and googling everything from ectopics to chemicals. It’s going to be a super hard wait until the scan! I live abroad, and communication with the nurses isn’t always totally clear, so I hope I’ll get some good conversations in this thread.

I feel mostly okay, except for a (mild-like a stitch) consistent stretching sensation on my right side under my rib cage. It’s been there non-stop since my transfer. I’m also crazy bloated! I hope it’s just linked to that; but weird it’s only one-sided.

Anyway, despite my pregnancy paranoia I’m excited to be here - and hopefully I’ll be able to stay around for a while!

Shroedy · 05/04/2024 13:00

Good to see you over here @Copenhagener 😊 - you'll find lots of support and handholding through the inevitable anxiety!

omghavingababy · 05/04/2024 13:03

Hey people my 2nd scan this morning didn't go great (as expected) booked in for surgery next week - I'm ok and at peace with it, just want it all over with now so I can start trying again
just left the Facebook group good luck to all you November babes! Thinking of all of you xx
