@Jellybelly888 I also just finished laser hair course on bikini line and I am hairier than ever- annoying

Bratzy · 01/04/2024 20:00

Five Guys portions are massive 🤦‍♀️it was lovely, but bloated now and I don't usually bloat.

Daydreamer94 · 01/04/2024 20:03

I read the part where your nausea had started to fade off and I am wondering how many weeks are you now? I am in the trenches of it - really terrible nausea but no actual throwing up bar one episode. I feel like mine started really early too at about 5+3

Oh no! Glad it’s not just me though. Well that was money well spent for both of us, not!! 🤦‍♀️

I know this wasn't aimed at me, but my nausea started at 5+4, got quickly to being there 24/7 and faded 6+6. 6+4 I was so convinced I'd vomit at night I have a number of buckets around the house just in case! 6+5 was a better day but still fairly non-stop. So it was a sudden drop in intensity.

The evening nausea started to come back a little tonight (7+2) but going for a walk just now has cleared it. Idk if it's the change in temperature or movement but that's the main thing for me - move asap or it gets worse fast.

luc243 · 01/04/2024 21:25

I am so so bloated today it’s insane! I feel like I’m going to pop like a balloon 😂 I feel like I have a not so bloated day followed by super bloated over and over. I’m 7+4 today! I have my booking appointment next Friday when I’ll be just gone 9 weeks. Definitely starting to feel more real!

Ah I see! Mines been going strong since 5 weeks but I had some before then, too! Question, how did you get your progesterone tested, was that your GP or someone else who did it? Mine just won’t seem to do it? ☹️

I've got mine tested several times. The fertility people ran the tests and one I paid for.
There's private places that would do it too.

PennySong · 01/04/2024 21:44

BellatrixK · 01/04/2024 19:31

I’ve managed to be so calm and relaxed so far, but I did what I hoped was my final test this morning- a clear blue weeks one. I’m 5.4 so was expecting a 3+, but it seems to be stuck on 2-3. I’m not really anxious as my two previous losses did this but my successful pregnancy didn’t.

I hate how stressful this early bit is- really hoping all is well and it’s just an inaccuracy.

Those tests need interpreting. 2-3 weeks is the literal time you've been pregnant. So for me that equates to 5-6 weeks. They have a really wide range so it will take a lot of hcg to get the 3+.
Especially since I have to pee in the night lol.

No thank you! Appreciate you sharing that as I am losing the will to live. My nausea is constant and paired with a ravenous hunger that I can’t seem to quench. It’s exhausting. I am also constantly needing to spit due to the nausea I think. This gives me hope I am 6+1 today and travelling on a 3 hour flight next week, pray for me!

PennySong · 01/04/2024 21:50

@purplecolouroffunk I had this with both the NHS & the IVF people. They both expected everyone else to run tests for them and I ended up paying for a bunch. I really wasn't impressed.
It was especially annoying because the NHS had offered me a wellness check before and when I finally asked, they wouldn't do it.
I'm really low in vitamin D and it's hard to increase levels. I take a spray because it absorbs better and I'm on 3000IUs a day.
And I'm paying for the tests. 😕

PennySong · 01/04/2024 21:52

@Daydreamer94 hugs 💜 I hope the flight goes well and that you feel better soon x

@Kinsters

I'm 9+3 today and I'd say the nausea hasn't been bad for a week. I still get occasional waves of it but nothing like it was before.

waryandbored · 02/04/2024 07:05

Morning, how is everyone today?
My nausea has ramped up even more in the last two days. I had all day nausea yesterday, I just couldn’t shift it at all. Woke up this morning feeling dreadful and was sick straight away which is the first time that’s happened this pregnancy. I have made myself eat and feel slightly better but still not great.
I really struggled in the car yesterday so going to try and avoid longer journeys this week.
Hope everyone else is feeling good and any scans today have a positive outcome xx

CurlyWurly1991 · 02/04/2024 07:51

@waryandbored sorry to hear the nausea is ramping up, waking up to be sick sounds grim. I hope it gave you some relief to be sick at least for a while?

I think I’m about 6 weeks today and I have started to have the nausea, more so in the afternoons and evenings. Am off on a day trip today and I’m trying to get us out the door early so I am home earlier if possible… it’s going to be all day out though and I’m nervous as have been resting a lot due to fatigue.
Tried an orange ice lolly yesterday as nausea relief based on a tip I read and it worked for a little while at least!

Crazylifeofamum · 02/04/2024 08:06

Hey everyone....

New here 👋🏻 I'm 39...
I've recently found out I'm pregnant. I'm due about 2 weeks before my 40th birthday...I'm always overdue massively too soo could be birthday twins lol!

I already have 4 boys 16,14,11 & 7 from my ex hubs. So it's been a good 8 years since I experienced a full pregnancy!

So far I'm suffering from the sluggi-ish bowels ever it's absolutely miserable as I already suffer from slow bowels anyway! So bloated I look 5 months already lol.

Constant headaches and tiredness are also there...

No nausea yet which is something I've always had ... hoping it doesn't come haha!

I'm from Nottingham ... where is everyone else from? X

Some relief yes but very short lived. My toddler has just had to witness me heaving in the bathroom for a good 5 mins 🙁
I am heading to the shops today to buy anything that might help with the nausea so orange ice lollies are on my list. Thanks for that.
Hope you can get through your day out!

Is anyone else experiencing really greasy hair?! Mine normally doesn’t get greasy at all, but now it’s oily the morning after washing?

I’m also absolutely starving all the time but I never fancy anything, it’s like I’ve got food aversion to all food! Anyone experienced this and got any tips? I’m turning my nose up at everything my DP offers me!

Yes to the greasy hair! I'm having to wash every 2 days instead of every 4 or 5 so it feels like loads!

But in positive news I haven't had to shave my legs once, so that's a lovely positive symptom.

y0rkier0se · 02/04/2024 09:44

Last night I woke up at about 1am, sat bolt upright in bed & told DP I wanted a chicken sandwich. He said we had no chicken & I cried. The hormones are no joke 😂

@Crazylifeofamum You’re not too far from me, I’m South Yorkshire 😊

Jenroxy5 · 02/04/2024 10:17

i was so sick in my other pregnancies that this time my symptoms aren’t really that bad (don’t want to jinx it) I do have food adversions but it’s more like if I want something I need it to be that thing and I’m craving dinner at breakfast like I want rice or pasta as soon as I wake up lol so strange

Welcome! I'm a similar age. I'll be 40 a couple of months after the baby is due.

Has anyone else increased boob size? Mine are massive all of a sudden. They were big enough to begin with 😂 I'm getting married in less than a week and I'm worried they won't fit in my dress now!!

Mine haven’t got bigger but they are really uncomfortable and seem more solid!

piechipsgravy · 02/04/2024 11:06

Morning all!

I don't mean to jinx it but my nausea has felt much better since Sunday 🤞🏻 however I've had an increase in cramping. It's very mild period like cramps (I'm not needing to take any pain killers- I'm just aware of them). Hoping it's just my uterus stretching some more. I've also managed to sleep well for the last 3 nights, after waking up between 3-5am (and not getting back to sleep) for a week previously. Praying that these positive steps are hormones settling down and not a negative sign!

Hi @Crazylifeofamum - I've just loved to Nottingham! How far along are you? I am 9 weeks tomorrow and feeling grim. Look out for the very green, very slow moving pregnant lady with undyed hair 😂

piechipsgravy · 02/04/2024 11:10

@Crazylifeofamum @muddlingthrou I'm very South Lincs so not far from you!
