How’s everyone’s Easter Sunday? I have only been able to eat a little of my Easter egg today. It was making me feel so sick.

I just feel ‘off’ that’s the best word to describe it. You know like when you’re recovering from a stomach bug and you still have the nausea and no appetite feeling? It’s that. I’m honestly going to end up losing weight at this rate because I am just not hungry and when I do eat I can only manage a few mouthfuls. I am body tired too - not fall asleep tired but just can feel physically that my body is doing a lot right now!

Riverstardust · 31/03/2024 16:30

@Sparksi I'm feeling the exact same way. Had no chocolate today which is completely unlike me, the thought just sounds horrible. Have had a nap this afternoon which helped a bit so maybe try if you can?

Hope you feel better!

Nooo. Hopefully you can hide it away for a day you’re fancying chocolate. That sounds great except I can never nap! Hope that changes when baby arrives, sure it will when I am physically in need of sleep x

UnravellingTheWorld · 31/03/2024 16:41

My first pregnancy I went off chocolate completely, except for hot chocolate. Which oddly enough I never liked before!

Hmmm, must buy some more of that and see if it's delicious again.

I'm struggling to take my toddler outside becaude I just don't have the energy. It's a beautiful day but I could only manage 45 min of it because I want to come in 😩

Riverstardust · 31/03/2024 16:44

@Sparksi that's the plan but will probably have to share it when DH eats all his. 😂 Save it for next year! 😂
Ahh, sorry to hear that! Maybe rest in other ways might help? Snuggle on the sofa, have a bath, lie down for a bit?

Sparksi · 31/03/2024 16:47

You are all heroes doing this with toddlers honestly!! I’m going to write myself a letter somewhere, if I have a second baby it can’t be until this one is school age so I can come home and nap in the day if I need to 😂

How are you @Daisychain27 ?

Thanks for thinking of me 🥰

I went to A&E and saw an OB-GYN, they were great. They took my blood and said my HCG levels look good. They couldn’t scan me unfortunately (they need EPU to do that, which was obvs shut) but they did an internal exam and my cervix and neck of the womb (I think?) are totally shut, so there’s no actual evidence I’m miscarrying. So probably couldn’t have asked for a better outcome as I was convinced that was what was happening!

I am still bleeding though. The dr didn’t like to speculate about why that was, so I’m definitely not out of the woods yet. He didn’t seem to be able to work out where the blood was coming from either.

Got a scan with EPU later this week so just a case of waiting now and trying not to worry.

Thanks for all your help and advice 😊

I’m glad they were able to reassure you as much as they could. Hopefully your scan will show that everything is fine too. I’m having a scan on Friday to see if there’s been any progress. I’m really counting on the huge amount of nausea I’m getting as a massive point in the right direction!

muddlingthrou · 31/03/2024 18:44

@waryandbored - I also have a scan booked for Friday and am struggling with nausea, so snap! My mum keeps telling me it's a good sign when I complain about it, which is kind of helpful.

It’s hard to remember that though, isn’t it? I got bad nausea at about 7 weeks with my first and dreadful daily sickness about a week later for what felt like forever. So I’m fully expecting that to start very soon. But it is a sign of progression - that’s what I keep telling myself!
Is it your first scan? How far are you?

muddlingthrou · 31/03/2024 19:11

@waryandbored - I am 8w4d today. This is also my second and I was nauseous 6 weeks to 16 weeks with my DD. This feels worse but I think I'm just tired, which is making it worse. My DD is getting a couple of molars through we reckon 😭 how far along are you?

I’m not entirely sure. According to my LMP I should be 7+6 but my last scan on Monday showed me at 6 weeks. So we shall see what Friday brings..
I definitely think the tiredness makes it all worse. My DS is 2 and non-stop, needs to be busy every hour he’s awake and has just dropped his nap! So when you add that to pregnancy exhaustion and nausea, it’s not great 🙈

H20202 · 31/03/2024 19:39

I had a small clot/discharge today (red/dark read), I’m 7w, can’t get hold of EPAU. Watching and waiting to see if I get anymore 😟

Jellybelly888 · 31/03/2024 21:06

Well sickness well and truly hit today (9 weeks) without actually being sick but just like constant motion sickness. Resulted in having to have a 3 hour nap and my poor partner having to take over childcare, household stuff and cooking an Easter lunch.

Starrysky812 · 31/03/2024 21:21

Does anyone know if we will have our bloods done at the booking appointment? I was pregnant with DD towards the end of the pandemic and so my booking appointment was done over the phone. Then bloods were done at the same appointment as my dating scan when I was 12+3. That meant I didn't get bloods back till about 14 weeks. Thankfully everything was fine but it would be quite late to find out that you were high risk. Hoping that I might have bloods done at booking appointment this time since it's face to face. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you xx

piechipsgravy · 31/03/2024 21:22

@H20202 how are you doing? Any more bleeding?

OP posts:
H20202 · 31/03/2024 21:39

@piechipsgravy no more yet it was just very unexpected! Only a little but very red. I’m crampy but just the usual coming and going, very mild still. Thanks for checking!

@Starrysky812 yes I believe you get your blood tests then, they try to do before 10weeks. Mines scheduled for 9w4d.

piechipsgravy · 31/03/2024 21:44

@H20202 fingers crossed you get through the EPU soon for some reassurance x

OP posts:
Shroedy · 31/03/2024 21:44

@Starrysky812 you have your bloods done at both but the bloods you have for your combined test (ie the one that assesses your risk factors) is the one you have at the same time as your dating scan or your 12 weeks (and has to be after 10 weeks, which usually is after your booking appointment). So yes, there is a delay in giving you your final "risk assessment" after the 12 week scan.

I'm continually freaked out that I'm not nauseous. I just feel it's wrong. And it worries me all the time.

Hugs for everyone feeling rotten 💜
