I feel so sick today. I can’t walk around the supermarket without feeling utterly repulsed by absolutely everything. 🤢🤢

Hi ladies, sorry for the TMI question but has anyone had mucus like discharge? I had it when I was around 4-5 weeks and had a swab at both EPU and GP in case of thrush/BV and both came back clear. I've just been for a long walk and it's returned again. It's very thick and a yellow-ish colour. Not sure if it needs to be checked out or not?

I’ve been having that throughout, quite big blobs of it, it’s quite stretchy/sticky too. No itching or smell either. I figured it was just from the thickening of the uterus.
I forgot to ask at my scan about it as I was so distracted by having good news. I think it’s fine but let me know if you hear any different!

Bratzy · 30/03/2024 14:21

I feel so sick if I let myself get hungry. I still have nausea either way, but can manage it with eating a little often. I have a massive craving for marmite on toast today. I'm always a marmite lover, but think I'll actually cry if I don't have it today. They don't have it in the diner where I am now, so will be going to the shop for bread and marmite. Imagine what I'd be like if they didn't have a toaster in the chalet...😅

This has made me laugh out loud! This is me! We told my partner’s family this weekend which was lush and his mum was so good at looking after me and made sure any offending food stayed away from me (anything meaty or strong smelling).

Lovely to see all these positive scans, we have booked a NIPT for a week on Monday that comes with a scan. When are you having your NIPT if you’ve booked one? I’ll be 10w2d.

Really sorry to those who haven’t had the reassuring news you wanted, I am sending you so much love. In the question of falling again after a MC, I always found I got pregnant again within one persons after, But I doubled up on my iron supplements. I hope that helps. Xx

PennySong · 30/03/2024 17:33

I've booked myself in for a scan next Thursday - I can't wait a whole 2 weeks. I need to know the wee one is growing.
I wish they'd never got me in, so angry. There wasn't any need. I wasn't in pain and there's no bleeding. I wasn't stressed about being pregnant until they did that. I don't know what they were thinking. It seems really cruel when they come out with things like "oh this happens to lots of women" Why do it then?

piechipsgravy · 30/03/2024 18:11

Thanks @Sparksi @H20202 that makes me feel much better!

Actually having quite a bit of cramping/tummy ache this evening after not having any for a week or so. Trying not to get too down about it but it's hard not to expect the worst!

Having a really good day today with only 2/3 moments of nausea, nothing like the all-day affair I've been having so far. Extraordinarily out of breath though. We live on a slight hill, corner shop at the bottom of it, and coming home feels like climbing Ben Nevis. I'm betting my neighbours guess something's up sooner rather than later 🤣

Completely understand how you feel. I would 100% feel the same. I got horrible pain on a coach when I was on holiday. TMI but it ended up being trapped wind and it was find. But I was so low & worried.

Could it be digestive stuff going on? Pregnancy hormones do cause issues.
Hugs for you xx

PennySong · 30/03/2024 19:17

@Meatballsandpasta I'm glad you're not as nauseous. I was more tired before but my work is slowing down somewhat. I do a manual type job.

I recommend installing a ski lift type thing and be pulled up. I bet all the neighbours would want in on it. 😂

waryandbored · 30/03/2024 19:29

Oh I do not feel good 🙁 I wished for symptoms but now I’ve got all day nausea like my first pregnancy and just feel useless and rubbish. I couldn’t even make my DS dinner tonight as I kept heaving every time I opened the fridge. My poor DP is having to do everything for me and I don’t want to eat even though I know I’ll feel better when I do!
I am grateful for symptoms, I really am after the last couple of weeks. But it’s hard and I’m feeling sorry for myself tonight!!

Jellybelly888 · 30/03/2024 19:46

Does anyone get an intense pain/ache in their uterus when they sneeze every now and again? Now I’ve felt it again it’s reminded me that I had this in my pregnancy with DS! Think it’s like intense stretching x

piechipsgravy · 30/03/2024 19:49

Thanks @PennySong I did do some stretches for trapped wind which had results and also took 2 paracetamol and the cramps are much much less now, just more of a dull aching low down now so hopefully just usual stretching etc.

@Jellybelly888 I get this! Had it more a few weeks ago but still every now and then. I'm also sneezing loads more than usual!

Yes I get this too. I remember it later on in my first pregnancy. It’s not the nicest feeling!

Daydreamer94 · 30/03/2024 19:52

Another really tough day with nausea. Also had a vom episode today which i feel like wiped me out. Have developed excessive saliva which makes me need to spit every 5 seconds!! I had this with my DD and its the worst. I feel like my symptoms have come in full force these last few days I turn 6 weeks tomorrow - really dreading another 6 weeks of this :( sorry for the moan I just feel rubbish

Just posted really similar. We can moan here because we all understand! I hope it gets easier for you. Did you suffer for the whole of the 1st trimester last time? I did (and beyond) but trying to just take it a day at a time now. I am going to try the gin gins that someone upthread mentioned I think.

LegoBear84 · 30/03/2024 20:01

Think I've got plenty of stretching going on over last couple of days, add in some early seasonal sneezing and I'm all over the place 😆
But @PennySong I think you're right about the digestive issues due to hormones too. I have Crohn's and so am super aware of my bowel activity but this pregnancy has changed my normal day to day.

Anyone else giving in and calling it a night early due to the clocks changing and loosing an hour in bed?!

SouthwestSis · 30/03/2024 20:10

I'm so glad you're all here to moan to!
Feels so rubbish that no-one else knows what I'm going through but OH and I already feel like his patience is wearing thin with how crappy I feel.
One day at a time is the way to go I think, at the moment it is really feeling like an achievement to get to the end of every day!

I actually sent my mum a message last night once I’d got DS to bed saying ‘I made it’. I’d had the whole day and evening solo parenting which in normal circumstances is not an issue but yesterday felt like a real feat.

oh no! I am sorry you are going through it as well. I did I think although it was 5.5 years ago so I had kind of forgotten but this is now bringing it all back. Yes it last into my second trimester I think which I can’t even bear to think about. I tried to find those but my local H&B was shut today 🥲 Does anything help you?

Sparksi · 30/03/2024 20:24

I understand guys and feel mostly the same. My appetite is so low and the thought of any food makes me feel very sick.

Dunno how anyone does this a second time when you’ve got a child to look after and you can’t just crawl into bed - I salute you!

Ginger ale/beer has helped a couple of times. Also Pepsi but I’m trying to avoid the caffeine.
I had nausea and sickness until 16 weeks last time which I remember just felt like forever.
I ordered some gin gins on Amazon to come on Monday. I don’t know if they’re more expensive that way but ordering them made me feel like I was being productive at least 😂

Honestly, I had forgotten how rough early pregnancy was until 4 days ago when the nausea hit! That’s why women get pregnant again - we forget how hard it is!

TrishyLou1111 · 30/03/2024 20:28

Does anyone suffer with HG on here? I have done with every pregnancy, and with each one, it gets worse. I'm 6 weeks tomorrow, and honestly, I can't cope. The nausea and vomiting are something else.

Aside from the hospital for IVs, does anyone have any coping strategies for this ridiculously debilitating illness?

Jenroxy5 · 30/03/2024 23:52

Did anyone have any cramping ( bruised like feeling) or soreness after internal scan all in all this week I’ve had 6 internal scans and I can’t tell if this cramping bruised feeling is normal or if it’s from all the internal scans it just feels like inside where the probe was and obviously they move it around a lot to view different parts but it’s really uncomfortable not painful but just like a bruised feeling

y0rkier0se · 31/03/2024 00:32

Well after spending the last three weeks being very very sick, I’m on day 2 of not being sick at all. Which is very lucky as I’m in Paris this weekend with a friend. We did nearly 30,000 steps yesterday walking around Disney & although I’m tired, I finally feel as though I’m out of that constant fatigue stage, although that was probably being made worse by being so sick. Also 9 weeks today! Waiting for my first scan on Saturday. Wishing luck to everyone with scans this week, especially those who are having second scans due to concerns xx
