@Sparksi it's the first day of my Easter holidays today so I can at least hunker down and hibernate for the next 2 weeks! Although we are having building work on our house for the second week so I'm going to have to tell my parents I'm pregnant, purely so I can come and sleep at their house all day!

The tubes really are GOAT. I'm the opposite to you though- up til now I've been wanting loads of butter, cream cheese, yoghurt and ice cold milk! Have been off chocolate or anything sweet- but woke up this morning really wanting some dairy milk, had a little bit of chocolate and immediately felt grim again.

My nausea has fluctuated loads! The general trend is that it's getting worse not better but I have periods of time (Monday, Tuesday this week for instance!) where I feel better and start to worry and then it comes back strongly a day or two later. Same with most symptoms tbh. I was really emotional all weekend and then the last few days I've been unable to cry and a bit of a cold hearted bitch! How are you feeling?

Omg the tiredness today is crazy. I had a nap this morning while the DC were at nursery and then napped for another hour and a half with DS. I could go straight back to sleep! My nausea is mostly gone but the tiredness is so bad.

Hi everyone I'm not looking for sympathy as such but just had my early scan and NOT good news. Meant to be 7+1 , measuring 5+4 no there was a "flicker of heartbeat" which I actually seen myself but the nurse (she was lovely) said "in her gut the heartbeat shouldn't be like that and it's not good news"
Obviously have to go back next week to be checked. This thread is so long now who has experience in this and after the week wait for 2nd scan it was good/bad news?

Starrysky812 · 29/03/2024 10:50

@CadoAvo good luck today. Will be thinking of you xx

piechipsgravy · 29/03/2024 10:56

So so sorry @omghavingababy while that must have been hard to hear the nurse say that, I guess it's good that you can prepare yourself. Still, I have heard lots of stories that have positive outcomes so I have everything crossed for you x

I’m very sorry to hear that @omghavingababy I didn’t have exactly that experience but something similar that unfortunately didn’t progress for us. Is there a chance that you ovulated later than you thought?

CurlyWurly1991 · 29/03/2024 11:05

Is anyone else experiencing cold like symptoms? I’m on my third day of this and it’s different to a usual cold, very runny nose, lots of sinus pressure and now ear pain in the night. Wondering if it might be pregnancy related now. I’m generally allergy prone, guess it could be hay fever plus pregnancy too.
So far just using Vicks rub at night and hot shower for the steam. It’s a real drag as I am also exhausted, guess it could be a cold but time will tell. Apart from this I just have occasional waves of heartburn and nausea. I’m 5-6 weeks.

SouthwestSis · 29/03/2024 11:12

So sorry @omghavingababy I have no experience of thus but have an early scan booked for next week when I should be 7+2 (or so I think).
Have they given you a date for a next scan? Was yours a private scan or one at an NHS EPU?
Thinking of you and hoping you've got someone taking extra special care of you this weekend x

omghavingababy · 29/03/2024 11:23

@CurlyWurly1991 I feel like I'm pretty certain on dates as I was tracking so hard 😭

@SouthwestSis thank you. Mine was a NHS scan. Nurse was lovely and Infact the same nurse when I had my miscarriage 4 years ago!

I don't hold out much hope but I'm Google comforting myself success stories 😭💔

shohopeful · 29/03/2024 11:28

@omghavingababy I am sure someone else had a scan that was disappointing but then went on to have success but I can't remember who it was. All hope is not lost 🤍 xxx

CadoAvo · 29/03/2024 12:44

Just had my scan at the EPU. I'm 6+2 according to my LMP but she said I'm measuring more like 5+2. The woman was so so nice and said I'm "definitely pregnant" as my partner asked haha. She can see the sac and possibly the start of the yolk forming but nothing else seen at this stage. She was really positive about it and said she's not concerned at all. Got a follow up appt on the 8th to hopefully see some progression.

@omghavingababy I'm so sorry you've not had better news, sending love 💕

@Starrysky812 thank you for thinking of me 💕

Hi everyone. Just back from my scan. Measuring 2 days ahead of where I thought I was (so 8+2). After the loss this has some as a huge relief.
Congrats on your scan news too @CadoAvo
So sorry not everyone is getting good news this week. I definitely didn't appreciate how difficult this all was until I was in it. Hoping I can start to enjoy the pregnancy now xxx

Lovely scan pictures!

@omghavingababy I had a disappointing scan initially. I had a big bleed and the scan was showing an empty gestational sac at 5.6 weeks. Exactly a week later the scan showed a heartbeat and I was measuring 7 weeks. I've got a private scan later today as it's still a threatened miscarriage. I was sure on my dates, but they changed in the space of a week. I think measurements are quite difficult at this stage because they're so tiny, so being a mm out can make a big difference.

JL1989 · 29/03/2024 13:58

Lovely to read all the positive scan stories so far, and sending love to anyone in limbo. Have my first scan booked in for Weds and starting to feel a bit anxious as we had an MMC last Oct. Sending positive vibes to everyone 🌈🌈💜💜

PennySong · 29/03/2024 14:13

Starrysky812 · 28/03/2024 16:08

Absolutely, 6+4 is very early though so try not to worry. It's in there and that is reassuring. Easier said than done I know! Another 2 weeks can feel like forever can't it. I hope you have some nice things planned to help pass the time xx

Thank you 😊 I think it's a good idea to plan nice things. I think I've got all my stress googling done now.

Meatballsandpasta · 29/03/2024 14:23

So lovely seeing these scan pictures! Mine is on Tuesday... who else has a scan next week?

PennySong · 29/03/2024 14:30

@Meatballsandpasta My next scan's the week after. I bought one of those clear blue that tell you how many weeks you are. Think I'll use it tomorrow morning. I'm just over 3 weeks so hopefully it will say so.

Is anyone else not getting morning sickness? It's making me worried. I've got other stuff but I keep worrying it means something is wrong.

Meatballsandpasta · 29/03/2024 14:34

@PennySong not everybody does, and it definitely doesn't mean anything except that you're so far winning the symptoms lottery 😁

omghavingababy · 29/03/2024 14:52

@1yearplan ahhh yes I remember now. Oh gosh what a rollercoaster of emotions. I have had no bleeding or anything
Can I ask at your 2nd scan when you measured 7 weeks did they see a heartbeat?
Good luck later today ❤️

piechipsgravy · 29/03/2024 14:53

Just had a call from my private scan place and because I mentioned my EPU scan on my pre-scan questionnaire, I have had to postpone tomorrow's scan as it's within 2 weeks (just!) New scan is now Friday at 6.15pm. Not actually as bothered as I thought I'd be- feel like I'm in a good enough place anxiety wise currently to cope with another 6 days of waiting and I'll be 9 weeks then so hopefully will get an even cuter picture!

omghavingababy · 29/03/2024 14:54

@1yearplan sorry I've just re read and it said heartbeat !! I have positive vibes for you today 🙌🏼🤞🏼
They told me this morning they could see a heartbeat but it was only a flicker and not a heartbeat they would like to see ...😩 so yeah don't hold out much hope xx

Riverstardust · 29/03/2024 15:17

I feel truly horrendous today. 5+3, have a UTI so having both pregnancy symptoms and an infection has absolutely wiped me out.

So nice to see all the positive scans! Won't have mine until May. Booking in appointment is at 10 weeks on April 30th.

@omghavingababy thinking of you!

Berts87 · 29/03/2024 15:36

@omghavingababy I’ve had a very similar experience to this last year and I’m really sorry to say it didn’t end well. Went for a private scan at what I thought approx 7 weeks and I measured considerably behind, there was a heartbeat. I was congratulated like nothing was wrong until I challenged the sonographer, I was then told my dates must be wrong and I ovulated late. I said I’m sure of my dates and when ovulation occurred as my partner works away and I haven’t cheated on him. I rang epu who agreed to scan me a week later but take the info from
the private scan place. It had grew and the heartbeat was still there. The midwife from epu told me if I am sure of my dates this would not progress. I returned a week later and there was no heartbeat - I should have been 11 weeks, I started bleeding approx 2 days after that.
I really hope your experience is different and it all works out for you. Sending you lots of well wishes and virtual hugs xx

omghavingababy · 29/03/2024 16:32

@Berts87 thank you for sharing this! Since my Google spiral this afternoon I hold no hope and this will end in bad news. Really appreciate reading your story though I've been trawling through mumsnet threads and people who are certain on dates (like you and I) it hasn't ended well. I'm intrigued that you seen a heartbeat twice though! (What a rollercoaster for you!). I'm really holding on to the heartbeat thing that I seen today but the nurse told me not to
Can I ask how soon you fell after you miscarried if you did start trying straight away?

shohopeful · 29/03/2024 17:01

@omghavingababy if it helps I fell again after my first period after my MC. I was taking lots of vitamins on the advice of another woman on Mumsnet. I screenshotted them so will post them here too. I really think it helped xxx
