@Daydreamer94 @Jellybelly888 I was also freezing last night while DH sitting with no top on! 😂

@UnravellingTheWorld @H20202 and I am also loving my melon atm xx

CurlyWurly1991 · 27/03/2024 08:31

Ahh same here !! Freezing cold, fluctuating symptoms, cramps, stabbing feelings. Now backache. Feeling grotty with this cold. I am not telling work just yet about the pregnancy so am going to push through this morning and try and rest more this afternoon (lucky I can wfh sometimes). Just trying to hide things at the moment, but won’t be able to do so if/once my symptoms pick up. It has been near enough 6 weeks that I start to feel sick in previous pregnancies.

Riverstardust · 27/03/2024 08:50

@Daisychain27 I'm so sorry you're experiencing this too but also quite glad that I'm not alone in this. I go and sit on the toilet expecting blood to just pour out! It's just the absolute worst feeling.

Riverstardust · 27/03/2024 08:52

@Daydreamer94 so sorry you're experiencing it too!! It's just so horrible! It's how I figured out I might be pregnant, it felt like all my insides were being twisted!

I totally know how it feels. I feel dramatic because I wake up my DP with it and convince him somethings wrong, only to wake up the next day like nothing has happened 🙊

Riverstardust · 27/03/2024 09:14

@Daisychain27 hahaha, literally the same. 😂 Usually results at the time with me sobbing because I think it's over and the next day happy as can be! 😂😂

CadoAvo · 27/03/2024 09:36

I'm really struggling with my back and not sure why. It was sore last week but eased up and then on Sunday started coming back. Usually it's worse in the morning and gets better throughout the day but yesterday it was mild in the morning and got worse throughout the day and has been so painful since. Had to sleep in the spare room and woke up unsure if I was able to actually move. Worst part is I don't know if it's pregnancy related or something else and pretty sure doctors won't say or do much. It's so painful and needs to not stick around for the whole pregnancy 😢

On the plus side, 6 weeks today yay!

@piechipsgravy 6 months paternity wow! I thought my work was good with 4 weeks pat leave 🤣 although if my partner had 6 months off I'd might feel they were encroaching on my mat leave by the end hahaha

Same 😂😂 my poor DP is usually like “it’s ok don’t worry, it’s not your fault, we can try again” (cos I’ve convinced him I’m having a miscarriage 🤦🏼‍♀️)

How far gone are you? I’m 5+4.

I was fully not prepared for how worrying this first trimester is!

H20202 · 27/03/2024 09:47

Another hand in the bucket for night time cramps that wake me up! I usually have quite severe period cramps so don’t know If my tolerance is is quite high but not needed to take painkillers just yet.

I’ve started eating a ginger biscuit before I get out of bed and I’ve changed having my supplements to night time to try and curb the morning sickness. I think taking the supplements on a not so full stomach has a lot to answer for, I’ve felt better the last few days x

Riverstardust · 27/03/2024 09:48

@Daisychain27 my DH just comforts me and says that it's fine and I've had them before and it was nothing! 😂
I'm 5+1 so only a few days behind you! I know right, thought it would be a few symptoms and it would be ok, not literal pains that make you fear the worst constantly!!

Sorry you're also experiencing the cramps too!! 4 of us so far so hopefully that'll help us all feel better about it!! Honestly, they are excruciating for me but then I'm a massive chicken nugget! 😂

I've been having ginger biscuits too and they're really helping with the nausea!

Starrysky812 · 27/03/2024 10:21

@CadoAvo 6 weeks here too, due date buddy 😉 must be 2 weeks till your scan then? How are you feeling about it xx

I’ve got bad backache as well. Especially when I wake up. I’ve put it down to that hormone we get to make us all stretchy (relaxin?) and having to lug my 2 stone toddler around. I had dreadful pelvic pain with my last pregnancy so I’m really hoping it doesn’t get as bad as that - I couldn’t drive or walk up stairs in the last 10 days or so!

Yep scan is 2 weeks today! Finish work tomorrow for a break, back to work on 8th April and scan is booked for the 10th so hoping time will go quicker with being off 😂

I'm excited for the scan and hopefully seeing things as they should be. But I often get anxious feelings creeping in that something will go wrong. I don't think I will be able to properly relax until we've had the 12 week scan. How are you feeling?

CadoAvo · 27/03/2024 10:27

@waryandbored I don't know why my back is so sore. It's my first pregnancy and I was just thinking this morning that if I had a toddler I'd have no idea how I'd cope with this pain. It's extremely painful and seems like the pain and only being 6 weeks doesn't match up. I'd maybe expect this pain at 36 weeks 😅 it really needs to ease up or else I'm in for a miserable time. Currently sat at my desk at home working with a hot water bottle on it and regularly getting up to walk/stretch. Supposed to be in the office tomorrow 😅

luc243 · 27/03/2024 10:38

I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and I was having cramps around 5 weeks, but they've since stopped!

Welshcake15 · 27/03/2024 10:49

For those who are heading for the ginger biscuits for nausea, have you tried Gin Gins? They're quite strong ginger, but have really helped with nausea in 3 pregnancies for me now. There's also a chewy version too.

@luc243 thanks for this, nice to know they hopefully stop!!

@Daisychain27 @Daydreamer94 @H20202 there's hope girls!!!!! 😂

H20202 · 27/03/2024 11:06

@Riverstardust ah no you sound in a lot of pain. Perhaps try taking a hot water bottle to bed and applying that if you wake up? Shouldn’t be too hot by then too. Hope they subside a little! We say chicken nugget in our family too 🤣🤣

Riverstardust · 27/03/2024 11:19

@H20202 that's a good idea, might give that a go. Luckily it's not all night and the longest has been about an hour.

Haha, brilliant! It's cute! 🥰

Just tried these this morning - not sure if they helped me but they're tasty regardless so I'll definitely be keeping on with them 😆

Shroedy · 27/03/2024 11:23

I have my scan later today. I'm 6+3, symptoms not wholly consistent but definitely there. Getting increasingly nervous as the day goes on! 😬

Starrysky812 · 27/03/2024 11:31

@CadoAvo I know, once the first trimester is done I think we'll all feel a bit more relaxed. If you can fill your time off with some nice things, it should hopefully go quickly and the 10th will be here before you know it!

Not feeling too bad - a bit of nausea from time to time and an excruciating left nipple when DD feeds! No idea why it's just the left one but it's bloody sore! 😂

1yearplan · 27/03/2024 12:00

@CadoAvo, I'm sorry to hear you're having a rubbish time with your back. Could it be a uti? That sometimes causes back pain? It might be worth checking the pain out with the EPU. I hope you're feeling better soon.
