Hey guys, new thread for the April due dates.

Looks like the other thread maxed out before someone could make a new one, so I'll tag a few people and then if they could tag a few and they tag a few and so on, so we can try and get everyone in.

There's no way I can get everyone tagged myself, it's a nightmare on mobile.

Congratulations @Ttcmumma hope you can get home soon and get some much needed sleep while your partner takes care of the baby.

Mrsttcno1 · 11/04/2024 08:56

Congratulations @Ttcmumma !!! So lovely everyone having their babies!! ❤️

Petris123 · 11/04/2024 09:09

Congratulations @Ttcmumma! Hope you managed to get some rest! 😊 🥰🥰

94kj · 11/04/2024 09:33

Congrats @Ttcmumma 🥰

babyhiding · 11/04/2024 11:20

@Ttcmumma congratulations 🩷

@XenaTheWarriorPrincess im also due toward the end of April (38+3 days) and hoping for a spontaneous early labour, perhaps this week lol. I went to the toilet every hour last night and live in a terraced vic where the bathroom is downstairs, I am exhausted 😩

BuzzybeeMum · 11/04/2024 12:10

Congratulations, @Ttcmumma ! Such wonderful news 💕💕

I lost my mucus plug this morning so I’m hoping labour starts in a few hours rather than days, but know I can’t push it as it can be forever… wishing you all lots of luck xx

Pinkstuffs · 11/04/2024 13:11

Congrats to everyone having their babies 🙂I’m only 38 + 4 but don’t feel like baby is going to come anytime soon 😕

Applesandpears23 · 11/04/2024 21:10

I have declined induction so I am going to hospital for daily monitoring instead. Hopefully labour will start soon. I need to get my other kids back home before schools go back if I can.

Mrsttcno1 · 12/04/2024 11:55

39 weeks now and went into triage this morning for reduced movements & some bleeding, typically baby started her own little party within 20 mins of being on the monitors😂 but what’s most interesting is I’ve had period type pains since last night which I didn’t think too much of but after being on the monitors for an hour this morning the doctor then came and showed me the chart and the period pains he said are actually contractions! So hopefully we are moving in the right direction🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Exciting! My 2nd labour felt like period pains at first then changed to stronger contractions.

BuzzybeeMum · 12/04/2024 17:26

I’ve had zilch since losing the mucus plug yesterday morning! Baby has dropped but that’s sort of it. She’s showing no signs of getting ready to leave 😂 (40+4 today) x

Petris123 · 13/04/2024 16:36

@ZB86 did you get your results back?
My feet are also a lot more swollen, been feeling sick for a week and BP still higher than my normal. Have a routine appointment with midwife on Monday so not sure whether to wait until then or not!

ZB86 · 13/04/2024 17:27

@Petris123 I had to chase them. They said my levels were something like 123 and they don't worry unless it's above 130 so they didn't do anything else about it. I have tried as much as possible to limit how much I have stood up this week and I think that's helped a bit but they are still huge and very red/purplish at times.
On a different note my waters broke last night and still not had any contractions yet so current plan is to go in late tonight for a hormone drip.

40+2 here. Lost bits of mucus plug every day since due date. Lots of braxton hicks. Still no baby yet.

BuzzybeeMum · 13/04/2024 19:45

So exciting to see everyone’s updates!

I’ve been having contractions since 11pm last night with them about 15 mins apart. Was able to get a bit of sleep and woke up this morning and they continued! After a small gap this lunchtime they’ve started and now they’re ten minutes apart. Not that painful yet so I’m saving the TENs machine when they start to ramp up!

Waters haven’t broken yet.

Baby girl was born at 21:09 10th April 😍. 40+2, lost mucus plug in the morning, waters broke at lunchtime, still only 4cm at 19:30pm but out she came in the water at 21:09pm. So in love
Absolutely cannot sleep on this post natal ward tho, baby and partner sleeping away nicely and I'm just here like 😳 lol

Many congratulations @Ttcmumma !!!!

Petris123 · 13/04/2024 20:15

@ZB86 oh I see, good the levels were not high! Good luck for tonight!
I actually phoned the midwives 15 minutes before closure and they told me to go in, even though I would have been there after 5. Took urine sample, BP and blood to send off but she didn't seem too worried.

Pinkstuffs · 13/04/2024 21:19

@BuzzybeeMum so exciting, good luck!

jeepjeep4 · 15/04/2024 09:26

How is everybody?
Those who are pregnant hope you're managing ok and hanging on in there.

Those with babies how are we all? I've got mastitis which is absolutely grim but apart from that loving being a mum of 2

Mrsttcno1 · 15/04/2024 09:45

Still pregnant and absolutely shattered @jeepjeep4 ! Glad you are loving mum of 2 life!! I am so excited for this baby to be out of my now. I put a bottle of prosecco in the fridge last night and am dreaming of the day I can have a glass😂

SummerOak · 15/04/2024 09:50

Sorry to hear you have mastitis @jeepjeep4 . I was at the verge of developing it, but managed to stop it with vigorous boob massage and pumping. I'm enjoying the baby bubble but also can't wait for him to spend less time on the boob so I can get more rest.

Those of you who are breastfeeding, are you following a schedule or feeding on demand? I'm doing it on demand, but he seems to be hungry all the time and then falls asleep on the boob. When I put him in the bassinet he starts to fuss and starts showing hungry signs.

Amf2508 · 15/04/2024 09:57

I'm feeding on demand, baby boys 10 days old now and I've had to introduce a dummy, I really didn't want to but he feeds really well but then continues to suckle when finished for quite a while. It was making him really windy and making him spit up quite a bit. So we decided it was better to let him comfort on the dummy for a couple of minutes instead of me. It seems to be working well, no nipple confusion and no spit up really. He still feeds every 2/3 hours with occasional clusters. And doesn't use the dummy any other time than that so he's not depending on it to always soothe.

jeepjeep4 · 15/04/2024 10:12

@SummerOak exactly the same here - he's a lovely happy boy on the boob (all the time it feels like) but not so happy put down especially at night time. We can get maybe half an hour in the Moses basket during the day but never long before he wants holding and feeding again.

ZB86 · 15/04/2024 10:34

We welcomed baby boy yesterday evening eventually by emergency section after what was quite the ordeal after my waters broke Friday night and then was placed on hormone drip Saturday night as I still hadn't had any contractions and several issues that followed.

Finding it hard being on a separate ward to my baby but he's in the best place to receive the care he needs for now and the staff seem hopeful that he will be able to be placed with me in th next couple of days.

Hope everyone else is doing well x
